Sudden time changes, unknown passwords Can somebody help me?
resetting the bios shouldn't be to hard. i found 2 ways that should work that seem very simple and straight forward here 1. Turn on your computer and press the key on your keyboard to enter the BIOS. This is typically the Del (delete) key. Pre-built systems from major manufacturers may use a function key such as F1, F2, or F10. 2. Go to the last tab or page of your BIOS. 3. Select an option similar to "restore factory settings". 4. Save your changes and confirm your selection if necessary. This will often be combined with the process of exiting a BIOS. Some BIOS types may have this as a separate option such as "F10: Save Changes". 1. Locate a rocker-style switch at the back of your PC (if applicable), and switch it from the on position (I) to the off position (O). 2. Remove the CMOS battery. This should be a regular 3V, round, flat watch battery. 3. Wait at least 5 minutes. 4. Reinsert the CMOS battery. 5. Move the rocker-style witch at the back of your PC (if applicable), to the on (I) position. 6. Power on your PC with its front power button. if resetting your bios doesn't work, the battery is probably on the way out.

Sudden time changes, unknown passwords Can somebody help me?
1. dump norton stick with avira. 2. get a hijackthis log asap 3. run ad aware and sypbot S&D (yes run both, not at same time though) by the cooling do you mean the fan? also when it asked for that password, was it before windows started booting (eg see the xp logo or whatever) if so it sounds like a bios problem to me. the computer time is stored the in the bios, and im fairly sure the bios controls fan speeds. maybe a younger brother or someone has been mucking around with the bios settings.

How important is RAM?
instead of getting 8gb, just get the 4gb but get some that is faster. also make sure your using a 64bit OS as stated above several times. if you go 4gb you will only lose about 700-800mb of ram, but if you go 8gb you will not be able to use 4.7-4.8gb. so basically if you have a 32 bit OS, dont bother getting 8gb because it will have NO benefit what so ever. its best to go 64 though

Check My Wiring. [Another...New Question, last post]
no, it wouldn't try and put both 'inputs' onto the tv. the male end of the 3 adaptors will be plugged straight into the female input hole in the adaptor for the monitor if ive understood correct. it doesn't matter which way the double adapter faces, or from what angle the 3 plugs are situated on it, ALL 3 things plugged into it will be connected. the signal will not be directed in any particular way. the shape of the plug is like that souly to make it look good and be practical in situations where space is of concern. as you can see from my 2nd diagram, the signal from the xbox travels to the dazzle (pink arrow) as well as the monitor (blue arrow). the signal is split in the adapter and half of it goes to each of the other connectors. EDIT: forgot one thing, the cables he has are male to male cables. you can see that in the first picture he posted. EDIt2: the item you found on ebay is a switch. you plug in 3 output devices (dvd player, playstation and xbox for example) and then plug the output on the adaptor to your tv. when you want to watch a dvd you switch the switch on the adaptor to the input the dvds connected to, and switch it to the xbox input when you want to play some xbox. you cant watch a dvd, play the xbox AND play the playstation at once. so in the application wanted here, the OP would be able to either watch his xbox on his computer monitor, OR record his game play through his dazzle, NOT both at once. thats not want he wants to do

basically you've connected your xbox to the pc monitor, and then split it and also connected it to your pc aswell. sounds to me like it work work no problems at all, but you will probably have to use the pinnacle software that comes with the dazzle to record.

Peer pressure
couldn't agree more. i used to be one of 'them' who thought society was above me, luckily ive grown up and worked out it doesn't matter what people think of me if i decide im going to make up my own mind on something. anyone with half a brain would think more of me for making up my own mind.

Project Euler
pretty much any programming language would do i would say. the tips i read were in pearl, but i did mine in ActionScript (the scripting language flash uses) simply because its the only language i know really well. it would be possible though to do them in fairly much anything else, probably even well written batch files.

my RPG storyline idea
MODS: I think this is the best place to post this kind of thing, but if it isn't feel free to move it to the correct forum! ok well ive been thinking of attempting to make a RPG flash game (i have plenty of experience programing flash, but every other time i attempt i give up because of my lame storyline). before i even start this time ive decided i will think up a really good storyline first, and perfect it so i know exactly what i have to make, and i don't end up sitting there not knowing what to do. just a little while i was reading this BBC news article about obama stopping all the proceedings at Guantanamo Bay, and i saw this picture of it: which inspired me quite a bit. i also took inspiration from the story lines of tv series prison break (the first season atleast), and some of the grand theft auto games. in a nutshell its about 3 inmates in a high security prison who plan to break out, but end up going through alot to do it. it will be played like the grand theft auto series, where you complete 'missions' to progress through the story, and are free to roam the prison in between missions. the player will have stats they can level that help them with various things (eg strength which they can level by lifting tables or going to the weights room or something, and theft which they can level by stealing things from other inmates) here are the notes i have written down for how the story will be played out. it may be hard to follow, but if you all have trouble keeping track of whats going on ill re-write it. if anyone manages to read through it i would greatly appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. thanks in advance

My parents won't let me..
why would you even want to pierce your ears, let alone your nose? all just because your being told by your stupid (yes, they sound stupid) friends to do so. ^ very good advice. if you are lame enough to still want it done though, go with your friends advice and argue. that way it will never happen and in a few years you can look back and say "Thank god my parents didnt let me get that done!"

Baby Thrown on Ground & Killed
thats terrible. i dont think she needs to go to jail for life, as long as she did do it just because she couldn't mentally stand the pressure anymore. a good 15 years minimum should be required though, so she never cracks again. when/if shes released i hope she never is able to work with kids again though. the added pressure may make her crack again. the thought of the baby crawling with its blanket to its seat, probably silent with pain the entire time just makes me sad. i cant imagine how bad she would have felt inside watching it, realizing what she has done.

Windows 7 beta
I used to love Vista, but now it is becoming annoying, plus it keeps BSoD in sleep mode for some reason. Also with adding a partion, I came accross a problem with shrinking my OS (C:) drive, and also are Recovery (D:) and the two blank partitions needed? [hide=image is xbox hueg!][/hide] i wouldnt delete that recovery partion. when you get a virus that destroys windows on you its your last option. without it you would have to go and purchase another copy of windows (if you couldn't fix the problem of course), or try and get a recovery disc from your system manufacturer.

Windows 7 beta
install it on a new partion if you wish to backup all your firefox details theres a very useful tool ive used many times: MozBackup it backs ups your entire firefox profile (all bookmarks, cookies, extensions, saved passwords, browsing history, absolutely everything). its extremely easy to use, takes about 30 seconds to make a backup, and then you can take that backup to any computer with firefox, and it takes about 30 seconds to restore a backup. then its just like you were still using the first computer, you would never know you have moved all your data across.

CD to iTunes Quality
dont have any experience ripping with itunes, but ive done it with media player many times with no problems. its VERY unlikely it due to scratched cds, because they would fail to read all together. its also unlikely its a faulty drive (if you have ripped most cds successfully), but who knows. make sure your ripping at a bitrate of 320kbs (cd quality), and if there is an option turn the speed down to 12 or even 8x. dont try and rip at 52x. if that still doesnt work update the drive firmware

bit torrents
sound very unusual. utorrent usually uses very minimal processing power and memory, well it does for me and everyone else i know. I know, and I tried reinstalling it and a few other things, none worked. install? i didn't know you have to install utorrent. i thought it was just a single executable file you run.
