  1. Cool, I hope you are going to get rid of all of the annoying spam scripts. Starting with the ones which say "Woot Blah blah have now reached level 4 in cooking"
  2. Installing a 6600GT would do next to nothing in improving runescapes performance. Its performance is mostly determined by the CPU. Looking at your specs the poor performance? should not be a hardware problem. It might be caused by a poor quality Internet connection, or your computer might just be bogged down by background processes. Sometimes reinstalling windows (although drastic) can cause a performance increase. In most cases it is possible to use a range of software applications which would have the same benefit.
  3. The American made cars do little for me, with the possible exception of the Dodge Viper which I have always been fond of.... but that might be because of a TV show with a car of that name in it. I currently drive a Toyota Hilux Surf (3L turbo diesel) which is not exactly fast, Its top speed is around 160km/hr and that was off the clock. But it is a good truck which goes well off-road where I often drive. It does need a few modifications to make it excellent. I am currently half heartingly thinking about buying a Porsche 944, 924 or a 928 but can not really justify such a purchase. Would be fun to drive. I also quite like the look of a Holden Monaro (Pontiac GTO) .
  4. Yes I could quite easily kill another person, in same cases it would be a pleasure. I would have trouble doing it without a just cause.
  5. When I was going to bed late (between 10pm-1am) I would sleep the entire night without any problems. My alarm (or body) would wake me at around 7:00 or 7:30 to get to work on time. But I would still be half asleep for most of the day. Now I am getting up at 6:30am to get to work by 7am. So I try to get to bed between 9:30pm and 10:30pm. When I do that I often find myself waking up in the middle of the night for little reason. I also often wake up at 6am. Even with the wake-ups and early starts I am much less tired. Once when I was rushing to finished a uni report which was to be handed in by 8:30am. I woke up and checked my clock and rushed outside to catch the bus (there is only three buses which would get my there on time). At the bus stop I thought it was a bit 'early' looking butt did not think much of it. I also missed 'my bus' but I knew another one was due in 5 minutes. So I waited, and waited. No bus showed. After a long time I went back to my flat quite 'stressed' to find a way to get to uni.... So I rushed back to my flat, to steal a car or something. At that point I remembered that the night before I accidentally turned my clock forward 1 hour, and the bus I missed was one which arrived a hour earlier. Also when I am camping, I would wake up at first light. I never do that at home. Everyone else I camp with would continue to sleep.
  6. I am going to have to track down and play space quest and Aladdin now. I am quite sad that no one has mentioned one of the best games ever. Commander Keen.
  7. They put it on late at night here and I watched it a couple of times. I suspect it would be slightly different content on it here. Rights to the shows like Family guy and Futurama are held by other channels. Same of the shows could be very good, others were quite funny, several were a complete waste of time. They could of been alright if I was drunk and watching them. Gundam Seed and The Fullmetal Alchemist could be very good shows but they are on to late to worth watching. The few episodes of Gundam Seed I watched revealed a very complex character relationship matrix. The couple of episodes of Venture Bros I watched were quite funny and I might watch if it was on at a better time. Maybe also "Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex".
  8. I agree. From watching the video to me it seemed that he missed.
  9. Just a small update. Canon has recently announced the replacement of the SD700IS and it appears to be quite nice from the specs. One good thing with the announcement is that the older models make see a discounted price shortly. SD800 IS The main differences are 28 - 105mm zoom lens (Wider angle) and a higher resolution LCD. They have also released the SD900. I would not bother with it, to me it seems more like a marketing design product then a technical design for quality. 10.0 effective Megapixel CCD Zoom lens 37 - 111 mm Ultra-compact titanium body Slightly higher resolution LCD 230,000 pixels Does not seem to have Optical image stabilization.
  10. Both are very similar cameras. Both are very good cameras. With regards to image quality they are both pretty much Identical. The SD700IS has slightly more optical zoom and has Image stabilization which can be useful on ultra compacts. Due to the IS is slightly heavier and bigger. It also has better battery life. I also think it looks better. The SD630 has a larger screen. It also uses a older battery which means worst battery life. It also does not have a Optical viewfinder. So, if you want a massive screen get the SD630. If you want a large screen with better features get the SD700IS. A couple of reviews SD630 SD700IS Out of these two if there is not a massive difference in cost I would get the SD700IS. [/url]
  11. The Canon PowerShot SD700 IS is a very nice camera, I would personally consider it to be in the top 2 compact cameras, its main challenger being the Fuji F30, (The F20 and Z3 are also worth a look) . It is a trade off between class leading ISO or Image stabilization. Sony also has several good compact cameras at the moment (In the T series), and they generally do better then Canon for their ISO and they generally have IS. Another point I would make, if you plan on taking it BMX make sure you keep it in a padded case, unless you want to hear a very expensive sound in a crash. The only compact digital camera with any kind of shock protection is the Olympus Stylus 720SW or 725 SW. They are Waterproof and shockproof. Which makes them more suitable for tough environments. Saying that, they do not have excellent performance or image quality, but would be perfectly acceptable for most consumers.. They are no worst then any other compact digital camera. Their shutter speeds pretty much ranges from 1/2000 up to 15 secs, that is pretty much standard for all compacts. I say more important for indoor pictures would be a clean high ISO ability. At this point of time only fuji has managed to achieve that on a compact.
  12. I am correct. Firefox, Firebird, Mozzila or Netscape, Does not matter which name it goes under it is still the same product. Just by changing the name does not change the history of a product. They also support many non-standards..... which makes them less standard compliant. Opera is 100% community maintained. If the community does not use it, then it would not generate any revenues, without revenue they can not pay expenses for the continual development. A few megabytes can equal 20-30 minutes for people on a slow connection. It is a large difference. If it was horrible then it would not be so small, operate so smoothly.... the end results speaks for the efficiency of the coding. Using that logic you would not trust any tests/trials curried out which are not done by yourself. So you pretty much don,t trust any scientific experiments because you so not carry them out. Or is tests of computer software/hardware somehow different. Pretty much irrelevant, and anyway opera still starts faster. Opera would still work on a system using x86_64, although it can not take advantage of the extra performance. But that extra performance is not required in 99.9% of occasions. So again another fairly baseless argument. You pretty much provided nothing but spin, half truths and irrelevant points. It just proves how good a product Opera really is when that is the best you can came up with. Opera had these features before firefox, and they have the rights to call it what they want, and it is much more then a few extra features. Each Tab in opera is actually a references to full windows that can benefit from the power of full window management.
  13. I played a couple of years back but it was not very good, it quite often contradicted itself and the issues repeated to often.
  14. I know of a few people who take a bath to relax, followed by a shower to clean themselves. I prefer showers because they are faster.
  15. I agree with checking out the Yahoo widgets. I use them for exactly what you want.
  16. I find WordWeb to be a great small program. It is basically a dictionary. I like it because it is small, quick and does a good enough job. http://wordweb.info/free/ (It would be great if other posters include a bit of info about the programs which they are suggesting, a name does not mean much and it takes a bit of time to check out what they do)
  17. My I ask. What is the point of such a equation.
  18. Here is a great article/review on lasers http://www.dansdata.com/nexus.htm There are lasers being sold now designed to be pointed at aircraft as a alternative to flares... If you are lost they are a useful way to identify your location. Just shine them on the search planes...
  19. I have done that, it does not work. Sure I get up, walk 5 steps, turn it off then climb back into bed.
  20. Yeap that is correct. I remember when I saw them in a India friends of mine room. I knew their meaning to Hindus, but I still had him up about them. Yeah I can be cruel. Like for most subjects, wikipedia has a good article on them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastikas
  21. It is possible to make a economic profit from a relationship..
  22. Over here if you take the test in an automatic then you're only allowed to drive automatics until you take a test in a manual. Then again automatics aren't as common here as in the US. In New Zealand, if you take your 'resisted' license test in a auto you are only allow to drive a auto until you complete your full license. Once you have completed your full license you can drive either manual or auto. I personally did my restricted test in a manual, then did my full test in a auto. For every day driving, especially in busy cities a auto is easily the best choose. Also in 4wd autos are slightly less likely to get stuck while driving over soft ground, and they do not stall during river crossings. Manuals are better to get fast acceleration, and for engine braking going down hills. Probably also better for creeping along slowly. I wonder why I included the advantages of manual vs auto.
  23. Everything in life costs time... So nothing can be truly free. (You could of used that time to earn money). I personally find going fishing to be rather fun and rewarding. Once the basic equipment is brought it can be a rather cheap activity. (Unless you turn into a gear freak like me and buy heaps of expensive tackle). Anything outdoors I find quite enjoyable, tramping, mountain biking, swimming, snorkeling... But all require a initial investment for the equipment and probably transport costs.
  24. I passed both of my tests first time. Had no major problems... I did give way when I had the right of way once, that was the only comment he made. Probably best to take the test in a auto, one less thing to think about.
  25. I have a couple of 17" CRT, often I wish for a third.
