  1. Pro: you can now walk from edgeville to the monastary the short way without entering the wild
  2. Call me naiive or whatever, but why does everybody get into fights or try to cause trouble at school? I'm a Junior in High school, and I haven't got into any trouble on my own or with my friends, or seen anybody causing trouble for that matter.
  3. I think mine would have to be casting vengeance on the unsuspecting public (It makes a giant 3d skull float over their heads), and then telling them that the spell would cause them to die in 3 minutes. :anxious: However, it WAS pretty fun. :P
  4. I like my signature and avatar because they're classic, they match without being the same exact picture, and everything about mages and classic games is cool. :P However, the stats on my signature are really old now...
  5. I think it really depends on the skill you're training with PC, and your combat levels. If you use your PC points on Magic or Ranging, you get more experience per hour, AND you don't have to use arrows or runes. Also, PC is the way to go if you want to level Hitpoints faster, or even Prayer, when you don;t have any bones. However, Melee is still efficient enough to be trained the traditional way.
  6. This took me 2 seconds to find...
  7. Yanille actually has 3 iron rocks near its bank, and It's roughly half the distance of the duelling ring teleport spot to the Al Kharid iron rocks. You still have to run to and from the bank, but at least it doesn't use duelling rings.
  8. Wow, this is actually pretty funny! Let me try: I like to mine rune ore for money.
  9. who cares about the graphics gameplay owns :XD: Though I and many other people here agree with you, a lot of people make a big deal about graphics. I know a few people at my school who have denounced or praised games simply for their graphics.
  10. Well, the other day after hunting red salamandars, I decided to make some tarromin tar and test out the salamandar as a weapon. To my surprise, I did a lot of damage with the makeshift flamethrower. So, to decide if I want to keep one as a secret weapon or not, I have the following questions: Do strength bonuses affect the damage dealt by the salamandar? Does each attack style actually do the specified style based attack? (If somebody I'm fighting uses protect from magic. and I use the strength option, would it bypass the enemy's prayer?) Is the damage dealt affected by the style I'm using? (Would I do more damage with the magic attack style than the ranged attack style, because my magic is higher than my strength?) If you knows anything about salamandars used as weapons, please post it! Thanks!
  11. 92 magic - If you can't figure out why, I suggest you go take up knitting. 86 mining - It's all I ever used to do in the free world, plus I mined a ton of rune ore. 82 (Almost 83) Runecrafting - Again, if you can't figure it out, take up knitting. 81 Hitpoints - This is what you get when you decide to train magic purely through combat. 80 Cooking - Because food is tasty! :P
  12. Well, seeing as my friends and I are really careful, we really haven't gotten in too much trouble in chemistry... However, one of the first days we were handling hydrochloric acid, my friend accidently spilled a tiny drop on my wrist. The teacher went ballistic, and started throwing handfulls of baking soda at my hand. It was more embarrassing than harmful, though.
  13. If you are posting this because of that "Seers" update from February, I'm sure you'll find that Jagex rarely falls back on their promises for the month. They simply fall back on the overly inflated player's expectations. The "Seers" update last month was the shadow sword miniquest, and also hinted toward more of those types of secret updates in the coming months.
  14. Ancient Magic is Zaros' Magic. Guthix! *Points to sig*
  15. People need to learn.... Runescape is a humor based game. Most of its comedy comes from references or parodies of other games, TV shows, or movies. I get annoyed when people say "OMG Jagex stole this from LOTR/Zelda/FMA" For instance, look at all the Monty Python references in the game. Jagex didn't create Monty Python, so does that mean they aren't allowed to have references to the show? By the way, another Zelda reference: When you first enter the Stronghold of security, look closely at the corpse you can obtain a book from. He's wearing Link's hat! :P
  16. When I was doing a clue, I decided to stop by the green drags to harass some autoers, but there were none to be found.
  17. Well, right now the normal in today's society is to be different. In other words, if you say you are rebelling against mainstream society, you are doing exactly what mainstream society is doing. I don't say that I am normal or different. I just say that I am myself.
  18. I'm on that Part as well. I think the fish men might be the Mogres, and the cave is the blurite cave.... I haven't yet been there myself though, so I'm not sure. Edit: Never mind, It's the goblin Cave by the fishing guild.
  19. Family Guy tends to parody other things a lot. However, for a lot of people, Family Guy is the only "Culture" they have, so they can't tell whether something is originally from the show or not. This also happens a lot with people between RuneScape and Lord Of The Rings. -.- "OMG, RS totally stole this from LOTR!!!!" They happen to take place in similar settings, so certain themes are similar as well. Um, My random fact.... Those Albatross off the coast of Draynor never take a break from flying :uhh:
  20. When you look through a scrying pool in your house, you show up in the location you scry, it's just that you're invisible. It's fun to private message people in the area, describing what they wear, the emote they're doing. They start freaking out until they find you, then they think you're abusing some glitch. Another cool trick with scrying pools: If you have a friend with a lower combat than you, Have him stand on the same square you appear on while scrying. You'll appear over him because you're a higher level, but the scrying pool doesn't show your character. This leaves your friend "Invisible", yet still able to use public chat. Have him say stuff like "What the heck, where did my character go???" or "Wow, these upgraded ghost robes are SO cool!" to attract heaps of attention :P
  21. It gladdens my heart to know that there are Abyssal protectors like me still roaming the worlds while I take a break from RCing.
  22. The rune rock isn't in the mine, It's on the central island, surrounded by 8 coal. There's only one rune rock, and it's already the same status as the hero's guild in my opinion. However, more rune rocks in each world = lower concentrations of miners on other spots :D
  23. I think some of you guys should give this month a chance. There have been many BTS articles that have sent me away with a frown, but it turned out I ended up loving the updates.
  24. I too enjoy the game, but I left because I was getting a bit annoyed at some of the people there. I got my granite plate and fighter torso, but still want those gloves. If anybody wants to form a crack BA squad, I'll join. :P
  25. I laughed out loud and even clapped my hands when I read that. The fact that Guthix was in the joke made it even better! In all seriousness though, does anybody think Jagex is actually starting to get annoyed about all the complaining of the players? I know I would if I were them. Also, I'm not just talking about ranging, though it's one of the oldest rants. It could also include the interface protests, weekly protests about updates, and so on...
