...........moronic things........... That is exactly what she's saying. She's saying there is no way or form you can be efficient and be a nice player I think you need to read the end of the sentence where it says (not always) again. BTW, change your sig and name, they don't suite you at all. ;)

economicsfgt, reporting in Mechanical Engineer here. And I have a masters degree in chemical engineering. Sorry to break your clown faced idea of the world. Who really is anti-efficiency? There is no such side. However, there are anti-elitists. I am one. I label the elitists on this site that troll every thread with their narcisstic dribble and badge of "efficiency" honor, efficiency trolls. To be honest, this thread has been nothing but a hoot and I'm loving it. I set out the perfect bait to reel the efficiency trolls in, snared them, gave them a taste of their own medicine, and boy they can't take what they dish out. What a surprise....

Lmao. What you can't force you troll. Hence xtroll. Don't worry we know all your methods are the best because they come from you and you paid good dollar for them. Your replies have about as much grace as a roll of toilet paper- you are not even trying to make arguments, rather resulting to being immature and trolling. I doubt there is a thread in this site where I post and then you post stupid insults after. I was worried that this thread would be the start of something different. But you came through again, thanks. BTW, don't worry I won't argue with you, because it's pointless you know everything. Was I trying to be? Holier than thou attitide seems like elitism to me. Elitism is good? Telling new players they suck is good? Telling people variety is bad is good? Telling people be exactly like me is good? I only quote your post because it's truely inane and easy to attack.

This is how myths start. Three things happened to make gold near worthless. One, gold smithing guantlet bonus started to be applied to the superheat spell. Two, you can mine and cast superheat at the same time. Three, living rock caverns came out with concentrated afkable gold ores. The only way gold is going to go back up is if they add some jewelry options that are economical and fast for crafting training. (say a stealing creation clay bracelet mold)

So is that -2 because your here and your a clown? -
I'm loved

Grats use it or sell it all? Trolling people in accomplishments is a pathetic way to feel better about your sorry behind. But, efficiency trolls must be efficient at trolling I see. -
 I'm an '05 product. Didn't know how to get a chicken at the time though. :wall:

The quest wasn't spectacular. You would think if they were redoing it to keep new players they would dress it up like the tutorial island replacement.

You troll me all over the board so I troll you here and now. Can't handle it, ignore me. Don't worry, I'm ignoring you because you don't make sense, you don't understand sarcasim, you apply simple math to off-base assumptions and call them law, you quote economics like its the bible, and I'm beginning to think that english is not your first language. They tell me that you have trouble with sarcasim. Say it ain't so. Lmao. What you can't force you troll. Hence xtroll. Don't worry we know all your methods are the best because they come from you and you paid good dollar for them.

Hello clown #2, short time no argue over semantics eh? MSN Encarta dictionary for you. ef·fi·cien·cy [ i fÃsh'nsee ] (plural ef·fi·cien·cies) noun Definition: 1. competence: the ability to do something well or achieve a desired result without wasted energy or effort. emphasis on the highlighted words Haha! Never look at the last part of that sentence ever. Bold the middle. Bold the beginning. Tell everybody efficiency means happiness. Tell everybody that definitions of words are subjective. Standardized english is cruel. Make up new definitons of commonly used words. But, for god's sake never acknowledge the last part of that sentence because you'll know your clueless.

Ever heard of too much of a "good" thing can be bad? Your liver might last longer if you did. Ummm... wtf?! I'd keep personal details like that to yourself.

2. productive use of resources: the degree to which something is done well or without wasted energy 3. measure of machine's energy effectiveness: the ratio of the amount of energy used by a machine to the amount of work done by it. For example, the measurement of the amount of heat produced per unit of fuel when all of a fuel has been burned is a measure of a heating unit's efficiency. I assume most people on this site who claim to be efficiency experts use "efficiency" in a manner consistent with definition #1. Yet, they almost always forget the bolded part at the end. Of course they never understand a few other things too. Here I will list them. "making gp" and "wasted energy" are not mutually exclusive. "making gp" and "effort" are not mutually exclusive. In fact, "making gp" and "fun" are not even mutually inclusive. Furthermore, for total heresy in the eyes of my friends (the efficiency trolls here) one might consider that going out of ones way to generate gp to increase xp rates by some percentage (often small) might be considered "OMFG WASTED ENERGY". :shame: Truely unbelievable and moronic I know... I mean everybody loves merchanting and farming and camping for days at the same monster, and killing the big monsters in groups while hoping not to share too much of the loot. Nobody likes to go places where you don't profit or get BIG XP. You know the abandoned places like stealing creation, fight pits, or even castle wars. Instead, everybody should camp at the frost dragons or go afk with the bots at soul wars until they can camp efficiently at frost dragons because its all about the efficiency. A good player isn't somebody who accomplished their goals. A good player is somebody with unlimited GP, because only somebody with unlimited gp can gain xp at the fastest rates humanly possible. To do less or consider gp/xp would be uncivilized.

Efficiency is the lastest buzzword to use when you need to feel good about yourself and where you are in the game. People on this site use it freely and without any basis to efficiency in the real world. Efficiency in RS quite offen is used to mean using the most expensive means available to accomplish something. This is quite dubious because making gp takes time and effort and can be gained most readily doing the things that most people view as not fun or useful. (of course aside for illicit methods) Of course efficiency is also the latest put down in a long line of noob, choob, nolifer...etc. Somebody moves too slow for you in your dungeon... scream "l2be efficient". Somebody has better stats than you... cry out "But your inefficient, learn to RS" I am not RS efficient. Nor would I want to be. I play nonprofit minigames. I don't go out of my way to make gp, so I save gp when possible. I don't "invest" in the GE. You don't need to be efficient to be successful in this game. Now watch the efficiency trolls line up quoting my post. Its always the same clowns too... :shame:

Extreme potions: cheaper than normal ones?
Golvellius replied to Kirbyallstar's topic in General Discussion
you're not supposed to base the value of your time on the value of the activity you're doing. You're supposed to it on what other stuff you could be doing with your time. Hence this concept is called opportunity cost Anyways I hope you don't base your overall opinion of efficiency on a few trolls. Runescape would be a dismal freaking game if I thought that way. I'm not going to camp all day at frost dragons or godwars or tormented demons just to get something done. But for an efficiency troll enamored with opportunity cost its goes something like this: "Kill fire giants on slayer task with range.... use chaotic cross-bow use dragon bolts(e), use cannon, use overloads, bring steel titan/spam scrolls, pray rigour... but first go camp at frost dragons for an hour to cover the costs of that plus the costs incurred while at the dragons when you use chaotic xbow, diamond bolts(e), cannon, rigour... I am efficient huraah task done in 15 minutes l2rs noobs." You don't have to spend any time making money to cover the costs of training slayer, FYI. Using a cannon, turmoil, overloads, and a steel titan, all you need to do is a couple farm runs a day + MTK to cover the expenses, and that's if you DON'T merch. You only managed to name other things I don't care much for. All of which take additional time and take away from my original goal, complete the slayer task. I just move my stats from point A to B without all the stupid money making schemes in the name of fanboydom to players with dubious and perhaps illicit amounts of gp and loose understanding of dismal economic philosophies that continually drive the world into bankrupcy every 30 freaking years. yeah, nobody told u to do that, ur just stereotyping now :P The point of opportunity cost isn't to tell you to do the most efficient method of training all the time. The term opportunity cost exists to emphasize the fact that the value of your time one day, might be different from the value of your time another day. Lets say you just finished an REALLY hard exam at school. And your brain is totally wasted. So while, normally you can kick tormented demon rear for epic cash. You're not in a state to kick tormented demon rear, therefore you don't pay the opportunity cost because you are too tired. Maybe you're in a really good mood for training slayer. if you don't train slayer, you pay the opportunity cost of training slayer while you're actually in the mood for training slayer. Which is undeniably more efficient than training slayer while not being in the mood. Opportunity cost is not a constant number. If you read futher down on that wiki article you linked it gets to the part where the vast majority of economic professors couldn't even answer what it was correctly in a survey. I found that quite amusing. -

Funny thing is if you made a world say for 2400 total and over, then same training spots would still be crowded. Since everybody picks cookie cutter ways to get things done with maximum "efficiency". The other parts of game would just be barren then. What they have now is fine.

Good luck fighting the efficiency trolls. They can't understand the concept that not potting every minute and not using rigor prayer saves money. 10% extra kills per hour means diddly when you fight such high value dropping classic slayers monsters like fire giants, hellhounds, nechrhyeals, gargoyls, black demons, and so on. You be lucky if you pick up 100k worth of junk in an hour off them. I personally wait to about 106-108 to repot depending on my attention level. I use rigor for the novelty but once I'm bored with it then I'll save 200k an hour in prayer pots for that less than special 5 extra damage a hit. -
Permenant ranking is as much nonsense as 200mil xp in every thing. If enough people get stuck at 200mil xp then a light is going to go on at Jagex HQ and the cap will be increased and the game will be on again.

The winner will be somebody with 24/7 free time. (aka bum) Guaranteed.

Everyone likes their pixels different, so I doubt this will ever end. The maul seems to be mentioned on every other page or so whenever someone makes the original realization that it's good for PvP. Otherwise this is just Rapier stats being refuted by people who bought the Longsword first without thinking. Nah, it won't end until the rapier fanboys realize that killing fire giants with an extra 19 strength for 200k/hr ain't as slick as it sounds. Here lets sum up this thread in a nutshell. Whip for slayer CLS for big effin monsters CMaul for PVP CRapier for fanboys who got lots of GP but never heard of a cannon

DIY is for men among children sadly its the hard path to walk and I long since strayed. We need a newskool baby agility cape for those who got it after they doubled the xp handed out. Newskool can have that dorky looking icon Jagex threw up last year on their back instead of the classy stick figure.

Whip > D'Claws/SS/AGS/BGS/ZGS/SGS ~ Best weapon in RS.
Golvellius replied to Undo's topic in General Discussion
I think CLS and Cmaul are better, but they require challenging opponents. However, I totally go for the crapier<whip unless your fighting dragons since it costs like 200k an hr for +19 strength. Whoppee
