Poll #1 now live
So what's your reason for voting no on the F2p Pking and the Easter Event? The same reason people chose not to vote for RS07. I won't use them.

Poll #1 now live
Voted no every time and will continue to do so even if in vain. It's amazing that even after 6 years people still haven't got a clue what they are doing. If you can't figure out how to rotate your camera to make roofs disappear or manipulate your character to move to where you want him then please go back to easy EOC. It's got all your conveniences and it's 100 times easier. 07 is not your EOC alternative.

Poll #1 now live
Voting No everytime. This is RS07. Not RS07 with love from EOC.

Battlestaves in this game?
You know I made 1000s of battlestaffs back in 06 with the old world hop and buy 5 at varrock. Of course, back when I did it there was no log-in timer. You can kill the things on the 3rd floor of the stronghold security I think for them. Your best bet though is shops if you go bulk, unless you do a ton of mage arena training.

What updates would you like to see in EoC?
I would like to see them cut and paste the combat system in RS07 over the EOC combat system. All we need is more HP for all the BS overpowered weapons.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Shameless, token update which only serves as a segway into solomon's store. 07 FTW.

High Tier Item Access
Just lol. We used to have skills take 1000 of hours and you people [bleep]ed and now we got WOW-lite. Why the hell would anybody want items that take 1000 of hours to get and then are obsolete next year?

A community divided
The only people getting scammed off unids are the uneducated. If you want to buy high level unids then you fill your inventory after putting one note of each type of high level unid. If the noob tries to trade you guam unids, then the trade fails because your inventory is full. Unids have a place in the game because they allow low level herbs to be traded for a flat rate instead of trading for jack and nobody bothers to pick them up.

Would you like a GE?
Zybez has an exchange market thing up if you really want it. I personally like strolling about browsing peoples wares.
-
Wilderness Ditch?
I say keep it. Too many people going to do the trade drag luring if you remove it.

Best place to mine coal?
I'm not seeing many people east of ardy nowadays. Try that spot.

4th March - The World Wakes
I had no idea that we were still playing 07Scape. Some are. I think you are playing wow-lite. I can't be bothered with them simply because gloves don't do jack in EOC. If they were untradeable and as usefull as barrows gloves in 07 then I would keep going there. But, right it's just better to wait 8 months and buy them on the cheap, wow-lite style.

A community divided
Well just by looking at this thread you can see the community couldn't be more divided. If anybody thinks 07 is dieing off anytime soon they are sadly mistaken. Last night's runeshark whip party drew record numbers of twitch viewers. Although tipit seems pro wow-lite, there are other sites way more friendly to runescape (07) like zybez. I think you are looking a giant fissure in runescape community that isn't going to close up any time soon.

If you say H/c x2 in game you will be muted. (Taken from Reddit)
When I was a pmod, I only muted the goldselling spammers. I never bothered to warn them since they were probably bots. It was official policy not to be seen in the gambling crowd or your mod status could be revoked. Also, we were instructed that we couldn't interfere in it as well. Is this a change of policy or a rogue pmod? I don't know. I stopped being a pmod when they started telling me to do this and do that. I only accepted pmodship in the first place because they specifically said no strings attached. I'm a player not their free babysitter.

FYI fanboy legion: Threshold combos lock you in place. Basic combos do not. I don't have lag which will cause my character to zip around after animations.

4th March - The World Wakes
Alot of butthurt from the fanboys here over one little vent. I must of hit a nerve or an obvious shortcomming of EOC. Also, for the record I have played EOC since like the first week of release and I know what all the abilities do and I'm getting tired of punting everything to momentum because the most useful abilities lock you in place like an idiot.

4th March - The World Wakes
Wow-lite: Cataclysm Quest was good but EOC is really pissing me off. Especially, since I have been playing 07 extensively. I died several times, not because the battles were hard but because abilities are stupid and the interface sucks. You can't cancel out of abilities, so I'm "destroy"ing armadyl and out come some tornadoes and bam dead. Same with the automatons. You can't just use momentum because you have build up adrenaline which is stupid and not to mention I think one of the random abilities involves a combo move which locks you in place again. The game has lost all fluidity. Now I understand why a ton of people quit...

Perhaps the events of this quest move us into the 6th age.

Behind the Scenes: March 2013
Maybe it's just me but I don't get it. 2 weeks ago Jagex figures out the most popular viewing mode is software. So they remove it. Players give feedback to Jagex about agility having no benefits. So Jagex announces its intentions to remove one of it's few contributions to the greater game, run energy recovery. I suppose this is in-line with calling themselves Java gaming experts despite running away from Java because they can't make the game they want on it. Is it that famous British arrogance or just plain cluelessness that drives all this, one across the pond can only wonder. Oh well, this looks like a great month for RS07, you know when Jagex knew who they were and what they were doing.
-
A dying skill?
Construction is your own personal space on runescape. Decorate it with trophies and whatever. Show a little style, just don't slap down the most expensive stuff. It provides you some tools, food, and some storage space. That's the original purpose of construction and it was fun in 07. The problem is short of the shattered hearts statue, when is the last time you saw something new and cool to be added to it? I don't remember. That's what the problem is. Also, think about citadels. They have everything we wanted added to POHS. A bank, a place to skill, a place to hang out with friends, a place to hold meetings, and a place to hold combat matches. Basically, Jagex gave up on construction and gave you citadels, so that's why it is dead. Not because mod dingleberry thinks it needs an overhaul or not because the kid down the street who calls going to the bathroom an "xp waste" thinks it's useless.

2007 - Old School RuneScape... You Vote! - [It's Here!]
Some things are better in 07 like no summoning. So you can just point and click on the screen to where you want to run. Now that crap is always in the way and you have to use the minimap all the time or right click on the ground to go anywhere. I have never adjusted to that inconvenience and it still bugs the shit out of me like when I'm at QBD.

200M in all Skills
Player completes 99.9999999999% of crazy self goal. Player has tantrum and quits because ego not stroked by others. :boohoo: Who could have seen that coming...

2007 - Old School RuneScape... You Vote! - [It's Here!]
That's probably a joke. I thought QBD was hard till I bought a royal crossbow. I don't think anything is hard in runescape anymore if you have cash and a lag free internet connection, RS07 is no doubt 100X harder then RS13 and I'm going to enjoy all the "youtube superstars" who were leveless noobs in 07 give up within a month because it's too tedious, boring, hard, or however they want to put it while trying to save face. As for hand-eye coordination and reflexes, runescape still isn't the place to show case those because you don't need much of it compared to other video games.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Seems like its niche would be for people with high skills and no money, then. Yep, I'll be getting it. 8-)

2007 - Old School RuneScape... You Vote! - [It's Here!]
It's idiocy to assume that if you send them more money then the game will improve. They allocate the money you send them as they see fit not as you want it. You simply pay for the terms of service. If anything, they have done a great job of pissing it away on failed games, games that never come out, idiotic marketing, and bloated staff in cushy offices making music videos and partying all day.
