Did you play as a male Hawk? I did and Andrew, the creepy elf guy, and stupid pirate [bleep] all made sexual advances to me before I quit the stupid game. (Well that and Hawk's sister just dies which pissed me off). FYI, I didn't play the first one as a romance game nor am I into those kinds of games and this one was just jamming that bs down my throat. The only character I liked was Aveline everybody else was uninteresting turds.

Total biscuit ripped it a new one in his reviews. I have to agree based on the game play he showed.

DA2 sucked hard. The first one was good, but the second one oh man. The story was boring and the other characters were fricken dumb or creepy. No offense but I'm not gay and I don't like getting hit on by every male companion not to mention the pirate wench who acts like she is a 13 yr old boy. I won't get this because they all but abandoned the origins strategy style combat in favor of button clicking "because the game needs to be more accessible"...

This isn't like other MMOs. When you die, your shit hits the floor. No other game penalizes you so much for failure. Why should the shit hitting the floor take 1000s of hours to get when it can be lost at the blink of an internet connection?

EOC was supposed to make combat more about skill than gear. And only 2 months later.... about face. So is the end game for runescape going to be easy meaningless skills/levels and ridiculous gear checks ala WOW/Diablo3?

Very poor decision making. Just cause a bunch of dicer clowns on youtube cry about losing money on their gear is no reason screw around price fixing things. When they came out with the grand exchange they promised that the prices were the players to decide. Now they are price fixing things with updates and excluding content from a large swath of their player base. I mean how stupid can you get. You want more players, new players, yet you tilt the game to hardcore no-lifers, dicers, and rwters. God save the queen, torva, and runescape...

Could work, if enough people buy into it. The problem with this game and most MMOs is that the eventually there isn't anybody around but high levels and twinks. I definitely find runescape to have progressed into this latter stage of the life cycle. To runescape's credit it has made it 10 years before stagnating. Eventually, they are going to run out of alternative ways to milk the diehard loyal players. Then the updates stop and then RIP servers and then RIP game. I'm sure Jagex has probably thought about it. Afterall, over on funorb they have that wizards game which has a prestige system. I think as a last resort they should try it. I'd like to see some kind of cosmetic rewards for prestige in game awards like emblems or fancier skill capes. I don't think you change the high score system. You can use prestige level when figuring ranking of two people with identical scores. Frankly, If you reset then back to 0 you go in everything including quests. You should get a weeks grace period whereby you can petition to have your account "un-reset" for those with buyers remorse. But, none of this is going to work if the bots still rule. Free trade needs to be cut off and the bots need to go.

What exactly is a Runescape closed beta 2013? This EOC thing is the first beta I've ever seen since I started playing in 2005.

Biased? More likely totally off-base. Nearly everyone can afford Nex gears and is a billionaire???? I mean really... come on that like saying everybody should have 99 agility. Shit its so easy now it probably won't even take 200 hours!

Dharok doesn't seem overpowered. Let's face it, you could 2-3 hit abyssal demons in the past with a whip and one hit them with dharok. Now, you can still one hit them with dharok but you'll be wailing on them with a whip for 6-8 hits. More of a nerf to other things and keeping dharok the same to some extent. The fun also went out the window because the damage is capped for some silly reason at 4.5k or there abouts. Of course it's easy to cap out the damage and I can do it on momentum with like 3k hp which is pretty safe for like 99% of runescape content nowadays. But, I'd rather have it the old way where if you got your hps like next to 0 you unloaded massively. I miss the adventure of seeing how high one could go with the right selection of accessory gear, enemies, and potting.

Yes. It's not as bad as some people make out. The game is playable. Mouse controls are poop, but you can get imaginative and remap all the controls to the keyboard which is how I play it. (I only use the mouse for the bow or to look down) I think alot of grief comes from the old school difficulty. (you can't tone it down and any creature in the game can kill you unless you grind superhard on vitality and armour) If you manage to play for a few hours and start to get the hang of it then its a decent game. It's a bit grindy, but I think the runescape crowd wouldn't mind. It's not the greatest game ever, but its pretty good in my opinion.

I don't see where they named names. So I wouldn't be speculating on who is gone.

Don't worry, North Korea is going to invade them sooner or later. At that point, there won't be any power or internet for them to do gaming. Addiction solved.

Brand new. You just get moved into the unverified pool for awhile which is mainly trolls and smurfs. Oh and I think the most newest hero is early access ($$) only. But right now its only prophet and he looks like shit which pretty much describes anything people label "support". As for games modes, mid wars tends to have less asses than the other modes, but really that's not saying much.

Hero rotations are a thing of the past in HON. You can play with all heroes all modes on your first game. It's rougher around the edges than LOL or at least less polished. The interface is shittier, and you find yourself fighting with it more than LOL. But the graphics, voice acting, and pacing are much better and the heroes are more devastating. Well some of them are I mean. They have that bad tendency of balancing the game around the "competitive players" which means there are plenty of gimp heroes which apparently only fit a niche role. And this is because the "pros" play some weird ass game where nobody fights 1 on 1, nobody dies, and everybody just run around farming and hiding from each other for 30 minutes until they count towers and somebody hits the concede button. Of course the hugest negative to the HON is the game is mostly played by people like the red haired clown in Colorado who went all supervillian at the movie theatre. HON has to be video game of choice at juvenile prisons. I can almost guarantee it. Which is why I bothered with LOL at all...

I tried it again and it's too grindy. The hero prices are out the roof. 6,000 points to get a dude and you get like 100 a game... yuck. 60 games to try out a dude or wait till he comes around once every 3 months. I'm not spending $100 to find somebody decent and fill up that rune page with appropriate stuff. FYI, HON is like 100% free too as in you can pick every hero. You only spend money if you want that one special skin or voice actor. Just be prepared to mute everybody at the start of each game unless you like listening to clowns cry.

Thanks for links, but I tried all that when I was still in my 20s. I even had a japanese girlfriend for a few years and visited her family near tokyo for a few months. Nothing ever stuck to me language wise. Foreign languages just aren't my strong suite. English, chemistry, engineering, and math are about the only languages I could ever figure out.

I remember the first one. I liked it and played it alot offline. PS I, II, & IV were better though. I thought the franchise died with online 1 or at least they never released one outside of japan again. Oh well, I won't be playing this because "Nihongo wo hanashimasen".

So do rogues still suck? I used to have a level 75 that couldn't beat a level 20 hobo elf who lives in a cardboard house with a paper sack over his head as long as his name was gold embroidered at the top of the screen. I would have enjoyed the game more if I had made him a twink at 59 (or 60 cant remember the cutoff for the purple gear). But, I screwed up and it didn't matter because they kicked twinks out of general bgs anyway from what i remember.

I doubt they are short on cash if they have a tank, brand new offices, and are paying celebrities to come play and dance. Of course, I could be wrong and they are mismanaged like 90% of other big companies out there. (too many employees, way too many middle managers, and meetings all day because talking about what you are going to do is always better than doing it... :rolleyes: )
