  1. Exactly what I'm thinking...13...? You can only go so far. For the last. Darn. Time. Final Fantasy is NOT a series. Final Fantasy X - 2 is a sequel to X. Final Fantasy XII RW is a sequel to Final Fantasy XII. That's it. Other than that, the games are totally different, with different stories, different WORLDS most of the time, different characters, different game mechanisms, different combat system. They just happen to call it "Final Fantasy" all the time, that doesn't necessarily make it a sequel. Even the two examples above don't share combat systems or game mechanics. Hell, RW is a RTS while XII has a completely different combat system that no other game to my knowledge has used...
  2. There you go. :) (Wonders if you'll actually read the mail I attached...) Oh yea, that Pachirisu was one of those I chained too. I chained 9 like 2 days ago. EDIT: Oh yea, if anyone here needs an item, I found out how to use my dad's R4 to make items. So if you need an Exp. Share or Master Ball or something, just ask.
  3. Alright, the Pachirisu is ready, and I'm on WiFi. IIRC, you're "Logan" right? Come online when you can.
  4. Alright I'll meet you on WiFi in a second. You can give me anything you want for the Pachirisu. Could you possibly do me a favor though and trade / trade back my Haunter so that it goes into a Gengar?
  5. Wow how do you have the patience to get that many  I don't need one of them, but you think you can get that level 100 linoone cloned for me? The one from the shiny contest. You said you would try, but I never heard anything else. Would you prefer the Linoone or a Shiny Pachirisu at level 100 with Pickup? Same thing basically, except that cloning the Linoone will take longer.
  6. I just chained... 50 Shiny Gastly. I picked a decent one and I'm training it now, but that leaves quite a few left over if anyone would like to have one.
  7. Don't worry about them. I myself don't know exactly what they do, but for the tourney all you need to do is keep them at 31, unless you use a hidden power, and it changes automatically. If you want to know the real definition wait till soma or someone posts. I'm late, aren't I? XD IV stands for Individual Values. Each point is equivalent to 1 stat point at level 100. For example, if we each had a Blissey, and they were identical except for yours having 25 IV in HP, and mine having 21 IV in HP, at level 100, your Blissey will have 4 more HP than mine will. Also, they determine your hidden power type and power. This ranges from 0 to 31. Shoddy - Don't worry about them. Set them all to 31 unless you want hidden power, or you are using an event Pokemon such as Pikachu with Surf. If you want a stat extremely low, set it to 0. (Such as Speed for Gyro Ball) Real Game - These are a pain in the rear, since they are generated when your Pokemon is created, AKA once you encounter it in the wild in most cases. It's also hard to tell exactly what the IVs are. At level 40-50, assuming no EVs, you should be able to get a calculation +/- 1 of the real value. Hidden Powers are even more of a pain here. Hidden Power - This attack comes from a TM. It can have any type in the game, and its power ranges up to 70. It is always special. The type and power are calculated from your IVs, higher is not necessarily better. On Shoddy, let the built in calculator figure it out. If you're playing the real game, catch like 20-30 of whatever, level them to 100 via WiFi battle, and use an online calculator. It's not likely you'll get a 70 BP Hidden Power of the type you want, but keep it in mind when picking the best set. EV stands for Effort Values. Every 4 points is equivalent to a stat point at level 100. If your Gyarados had 120 EV in attack, and mine had 160, at level 100, assuming everything else is the same, my Gyarados would have 10 more attack than yours. Each stat can go up to 255 EV points, and your pokemon can totally have 510 EV points. Assuming you have two stats you want at maximum, do NOT allocate 255 points to each. Instead, allocate 252, since the last 3 points in each do nothing. Putting the last 6 in another stat will increase that by a point. Shoddy - Since most of you don't sound like competitive players, you have two choices. 1) Visit Smogon.com, they have some basic sets for almost every Pokemon, as well as EVs and explanations. 2) Forget about these. Just pick the stats you think are most important, put 252 in each, and dump the last 6 in either HP, Speed, or one of the defenses. Real Game - Find and read a guide on EV-ing. Try 252-252-6 sets at first until you grow accustomed to it, then catch/breed selectively for a high IV Pokemon before running calculations to see what EVs you want on that particular Pokemon.

Wow. Just... wow. I haven't seen this thread for a while, but it really makes me glad I left the tournament when I did. First came items, now comes banning death grab? Meh, at least the first tournament was fun... I'm gonna guess I'll be flamed to hell for this. But if you can't deal with a huge weakness on a character, then you shouldn't be playing that character. What's next, you can't use projectiles against Ike? You can't edgehog against Olimar or Lucario? Death grab is not a bug. Also, it's ridiculous that you are allowed to try to get 3-5 punches in against any character but Lucas. So what exactly does the rule mean? You have to throw Lucas or Ness the second you grab them? You can't try to rack up extra damage if you hit them? Also, you DO know you can DI out of it, or stay on the edge where once you break out, you're free...
  9. Godwars averages 2-3m/hour... you think the best skiller income in the game should max out at 500k/hour? Estimating that a Saradomin GWD trip lasts ~6 hours factoring kill count, 4 - 5 team members ~ 100 kills You can expect, on average in the long run, ~ 10 Saradomin Swords and ~ 3 Saradomin Hilts in 10 trips. That comes out to ~325M, once you dock off 5% because it's sold min price when split. That's maybe a little more than 1M an hour if your luck is average. Of course, with drop rates as low as these, it's easy to have 2-3 dry trips in a row. GWD does NOT average 2-3M / hour. Armadyl is actually probably lower money, because of the waiting time, the higher chance of getting crashed, and fewer kills per trip and KC time. Neither Bandos nor Zamorak get even close. The only time GWD earned that much for people was during the various safespot abuses. When a trip lasts 6 to 8 hours easily, it's not often that you get nothing. You don't waste much time getting teams together if you have 6-8 people who are usually on at the same time, almost every day. Free worlds for Zamorak and Saradomin are easy. The other two, not so easy unless you're crass enough to steal a world, and if that's the case, you'd need a bigger team anyways AKA lower profit. However, you're still correct because most people lose track of time inside. After working it out mathematically, you'll probably average about 500k - 1000k an hour at Bandos or Armadyl, and maybe 750k to 1250k at Saradomin. Saradomin's only barely higher because 70 agility reduces the crowds there, and trips can usually last longer. At today's prices, you won't be averaging that much anymore. That said, I think it's reasonable to say the game SHOULD have been designed in a way so that most "conversion" skills yield 100k-150k an hour. Taking a raw material and making it useful should have value in it. I think an easy solution that hasn't been considered is to remove skill capes and high scores. Without that, people will have no "drive" to level a skill purely for the sake of training it. Then all that remains is making these supplies useful. Add new bosses. Add new PvP options. Drain these sharks and potions out of the economy. Add more magic so that people want magic levels, thereby pulling runes and bows and such. The problem is the fact that people are training for the sake of training. Most 99 cooks don't like cooking as a skill itself, they just want to have a 99, trim a cape, or have a skill cape. If you take this away, take away the value of a 99 skill asides from what the skill directly grants you, then conversion skills will possibly make a comeback.
  10. I'll be able to give you one if my dad ever fixes the WiFi, so don't trade your precious Giratina for it. Giratina is win. Also, get the trophy garden person to mention Porygon, then DON'T talk to him again. You'll maintain a 5% chance of finding Porygon in the garden until you talk to him again twice.

Summon Necro with a hireling with Faith AND Bramble. XD And since Summon Necros are the least gear dependent, you can load up on MF if you want. :)
  12. So you are assuming that people who multi task don't pay attention to the game? That is wrong, I multi task and I pay attention and KNOW what I'm doing at all times on game. Correction, I should've said,
  13. Can they do it? Probably. Should they? In my opinion, no. I think it's a benefit that you should actually pay attention to the game your playing if you want to use full screen mode...
  14. I have more than enough money to pay for skills, but I still dislike the concept of buying skills. My opinion is that Runescape is based around these skills. You should not train them for the sake of training them, you should train them because you like the skill, and throwing money at it to get it done quick and reap the benefits defeats the purpose. I think if you want 99 cooking and you have 99 cooking, it should show that you enjoy cooking, finding the materials, making different types of food, collecting some of the raws yourself. It shouldn't be "Hey I want a skill cape so I'll go throw 10M at it." That's why I don't respect Cooking skill capes at all, most of the people who have them don't care about the skill at all, only the benefits and the cape.
  15. And just yesterday I found a wonderful spot for them, but now that spot was nerfed too... :( 100 Chinchompas would've net you 300-500 Nature Runes at Tree Spirits yesterday, and a rune axe or two. Now they drop 1/10 the nature runes, and loads more knives. #-o
  16. Asking for a girlfriend/boyfriend in Runescape is against the rules. Having one is not. Sounds kind of silly, I know, but I guess it means if you ask someone on a clan forum or via a fansite forum to be your boyfriend/girlfriend in Runescape, that's not against the rules.
  17. Possible, but there are many better recipients of the Speed Boost. Attacking first will not stop a physical walls. Trick Room may actually backfire, since Bronzongs, Perts, and similar Pokemon are everywhere, and they carry EQ to scare your Empoleon away. Also, IIRC, Trick Room doesn't change priorities. If Empoleon gets hit by a SDLuke's Mach Punch, it's in horrible trouble anyways.
  18. Covering weaknesses usually isn't enough. Switch-ins and counters matter way more. Empoleon's also way too slow. If Empoleon sees a Staraptor, unless it's got some serious HP and Defense, CC will OHKO it. It won't be able to pull an Ice Beam off. Also, I have my doubts as to whether an un-STABed Ice Beam on a SD set will OHKO a Staraptor anyways. Empoleon can't really switch in with both a ground weakness and a fighting weakness. Way too many walls can switch in safely, for example, Skarmory. Also, the electric weak doesn't help it any, since HP Electric is probably the most common HP around, thanks to our Water/Flying terror...
  19. Breloom? STARAPTOR? >.< Empoleon used Swords Dance! Dugtrio switched in. Dugtrio used Earthquake. Empoleon fainted. Or, Empoleon used Swords Dance! Dugtrio switched in. Empoleon used Aqua Jet! Dugtrio hung on using Focus Sash! Dugtrio used Earthquake. Empoleon fainted. Also, I doubt you have that many things to deal with Chomp. And Empoleon doesn't carry fire attacks or electric attacks to my knowledge, so Skarm will just laugh and set up [bleep]es, then phaze away...
  20. What's not right about trading items at the incorrect price Jagex sets on them? In order for junk to be useful, the junk items must have the incorrect price, and the item they're trading for must have an incorrect price. What's wrong with trading them together at their prices? Most of us would prefer Jagex fix the damn prices, but if that's not possible, trading the items together seems to be only fair.
  21. And its three weaknesses are the three most common weaknesses in the meta-game... ground, electric, and fighting.
  22. Tell you what, just PM me what you want a setup for and I'll add it. I'm adding a Saradomin inven as I'm typing this. - Party Hat Set - Christmas Cracker - 7 Assorted Godswords Or something else outrageously expensive I don't have. :( And if you want a ZGS in the pic I'll have to borrow one / buy one. As long as three or more people are consistently attacking her, she will pretty much never attack a healer, because the healer should NOT be attacking her. Phantomkoi is an excellent healer that's come along for our trips. Basically, healers just stand in the center with Guthans, Protect from Magic, and attack Growler. Once Growler is low hp, switch to another minion of your choosing. Cast heal other if a team mate is dying. If you did get attacked by her, it's probably because the temp. fix Jagex implemented, that causes Zil to lose focus after 3-4 ranged hits. Once that happens, if no one else attacks her for like 3-4 seconds, she'll just pick a target, which may be you. Like I said this is easily avoided by making sure your teammates know what they're doing.
  23. Go to Bandos with something similar to my Standard warrior setup. That's your best bet. Accompany a large team so that if you are forced to leave early you won't cause any serious repercussions to your team. Switch on a ring of life.
  24. Gold 250 500? "horrrible" experience? Hello, you can break 300K XP\hour with them, better then virtually any other skill. Face it, summoning can be leveled so fast by pouchcrafting that the prices HAVE to be high. And its worth it; I'm 89 summoning, and the unicorn stallion alone is worth 100s of millions to me. I didn't say gold are horrible. I said GREEN are horrible. And green is lousy because of the cost of shards. Green are easily available from tons and tons of monsters and I have more than I know what to do with. Gold are good, but so easy to get in bulk that they couldn't be too expensive.
  25. Some people finish Final Fantasy XII with: Vaan - Level 1 Fran - Level 2 Baltheir - Level 2 Basch - Level 3 Penelo - Level 3 Ashe - Level 3 I think they've even killed Yiazmat in a 122333 playthrough. In case you were wondering about the strange numbers, those are the character levels they join at if you never train anyone or gain any exp.
