  1. I didn't notice until the end of the clip there was the aura there too. I wonder if it applies with regular bolts and arrows as well. o.O Or with chinchompas... Oh god, glowing chichompas. XD
  2. Doesn't that sort of contradict this: [qfc]16-17-354-6284086[/qfc] [/hide] 1. link comes up as dead for me 2. i dont think so because i think it means membership current as of the release date and not redeemed after release Not sure why the stupid code didn't work. :\ [QFC]16-17-354-62840865[/QFC]

  4. I wonder if we will get a "Facepalm" emote! We already have it. It just needs improvement. :P I'd probably go more for the emotes myself. The outfits don't impress me very much. =X Looks like a fun update! :) I am torn about the whole thing, but I can see why they're doing it in this manner. Those who only got members recently may find it unfair that those who had members long ago are getting extra rewards automatically, while they have to play another five or so years before they get those every rewards. Likewise I can see where the long-time members may feel that their previous years of loyalty are not being recognized at all. I'm sure Jagex is merely trying to be fair by starting everyone at zero, rather than some with something and others with nothing. If this was done at the start of the when members first came out, then we wouldn't be having this conflict. Although keep in mind too, those who have been members for years are still paying a premium rate ($5.00) compared to those who just started ($5.95), so at least there is some recognition there.
  5. At this point, to save the OP from becoming the butt end of jokes for the entire community, I'm locking this. There is always a remote possibility of anything being "hacked." There isn't a perfect system. That being said, you can still make sure you take the proper security measures to protect your account, as well as other things. 1. Make sure you have a password that is a mixture of letters and numbers. 2. Make sure you have a bank PIN set. 3. Make sure you have recovery questions set. The above should be changed every few months. In addition, you must be sure that the answers to the recovery questions, as well as the bank PIN and password, are not used elsewhere, are not posted elsewhere. More than ever "hackers" don't even need to send your a keylogger, but simply look up your information around the web. Social engineering anyone? 1. Do not add people you don't recognize on MSN/AIM/other messengers 2. Do not share your personal Facebook/MySpace/Twitter/etc. This especially as more often than not you have quite a lot of personal information on there.
  6. Don't let the Poorly Cooked Karambwan or Dynamite near the potion table. Otherwise good bye potion for the remainder of the fight. =P Maybe I'm weird but I found the Hard waves easier than the Easy waves.
  7. That mural looks a bit like the shores of Burgh de Rott too.
  8. Whoa that looks awesome!!! I shall try this! :D Maybe it's for the RotM?
  9. Wow. February 2002 until now. O_o I'm getting oooold lol. Most vivid memory for me: when a ton of us were going OMGWTHISGOINGON on IRC when Scapeboard got hacked. Again. >_<
  10. Got this a while ago (yesterday really)... 96 Fletching at the moment... 6-7 hours to 97... So maybe tomorrow, maybe Monday.
  11. I have some obligations during the weekends, and while I can get time off, the cost of travel and accommodations would overdraft my finances. Not to mention I'm still going through uni. Eep. Just looked at LastMinuteTravel (found them to be very awesome... Got a nice round-trip ticket from San Francisco to Las Vegas and three days, two nights stay at the Trump Hotel for $213 during the summer), and it's $912.30 for the cheapest at the moment going between San Francisco and London for that weekend, flying to London on Thursday or Friday, and going back to San Francisco on Monday or Tuesday. Does not currently have a package for hotel stay. :( Yea definitely cannot afford it. D'oh
  12. :ohnoes: Oh god I'm not safe anymore. >.> Let's make GE/Edgeville/DG non-sniping areas plox? :D
  13. Every player has chance to wear the cape, so shouldn't they have a say in how it looks? Point made. But the way it was described, it felt like to me more directed to older players in general in terms of start date, not how long they've played the game, if that makes sense? I see what your saying, but I think they covered that base with the classic cape. So I agree that only people that would have been eligible for the classic cape should have a say in how it looks, but I dont even think there was a vote for that was there? Actually the Classic cape ended up being for anyone who has ever played on Classic, including during the re-introduction a few years ago. =X

  15. A few days in between real life stuff from level 96. :P
  16. This is actually quite a nice idea. I guess the Sawmill was supposed to do that, but who goes there? :( Would be great to see some assignments for each skill to change things. :D
  17. Moderator Message: If you are going to respond to any thread, please try to be a bit more constructive. That would be the reason why some posts are going missing. Thanks. On Topic: I'm a bit more annoyed with the fact that the veteran cape itself was designed by all players, regardless of how long ago they've played, and I'm not happy with the design at all. Just way too much action in it. >.< I hope the ten year cape's design is actually chosen by those who are going to be at the ten year mark.
  18. Chinchompa bots still about. =(
  19. A very special thanks to Mr Cammybear for providing me the money and runes to get me to 99 Magic. And of course, thank you Tip.it, GamingHeavens, and Excl's CC community for the support! ^_^ Wubs you all! I basically fire surged from level 96 magic to 99. From 85 to 96 I was passively training magic by using it for metal dragon tasks. :P Probably not the most efficient, but I did get this nice little gem while I was working at my levels: [hide=Image May Contain Some Swearing] Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/hide] And now for lots of pictures... 26. Some are probably just repeats, but I was mashing the key like mad just in case I missed something. XD Some pictures may contain some minor swearing. :| [hide=Many Pictures Hidden to Save You From Loading Agonies] [/hide] Still debating on 99 Mining, 99 Fletching, or 99 Slayer. O_O

  21. http://imageshack.us...08/visageb.png/ I am so grinning like an idiot right now over my first visage drop. ^^;
  22. [hide=Contains Some Swearing] Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/hide] I am still grinning like a stupid idiot over this. XD
  23. I might've missed it, but I personally didn't say it was on the top 100 things to worry about. But it doesn't make it something that we can't discuss and have emotions toward.
  24. I can see where it may sound amusing that someone is being forced to play a game. However, the underlying circumstances don't make it funny. I honestly believe that's where some people are missing the point. What the prisoners are doing is forced, regulated monotonous game play. Not running around questing and calling people morons for having a different opinion than you. And most likely not having fun. It may not seem to be in line with what some of you believe to be torture, but if this were happening in the United States you can be sure there would be people filing claims with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Varicose veins anyone? You might know them as spider veins, although spider veins are much smaller. Varicose veins appear on the surface of your skin when blood begins to pool in along areas in the vein. Your veins control blood volume in your body, and as blood begins to pool in your veins, it stretches and the vein is literally screaming for help (i.e. the thing you might know as pain). These vessels are NOT meant to stretch at all. This occurs quite commonly in those who stand or sit for long periods of time. (Source) Another health hazard? Let's consider the eyes. Several studies state that the amount of time spent doing near-work can influence the progression of myopia (nearsightedness). One study in particular specified that the distance and amount of continuous work done were important factors for this issue. (Source) As you become more nearsighted, you have a higher chance of having retinal detachment. For those who don't know, the retina is a light-sensitive layer of tissue in the eye that sends visual messages through the optic nerve to the brain. When the retina begins to tear or break away from its normal position in the eye, vision begins to deteriorate, and if not treated soon can lead to permanent blindness. (Source) I'm sorry, but if forcing bodily harm, or risk of, onto someone does not constitute a single qualification for torture, then I don't know what torture is. Yes they are prisoners, and we can say that they're getting what they deserved and that if they didn't commit crimes to begin with they would not be in that situation. Does it make it right though? I really don't think so. Plus I really don't think that playing games in the fashion they are constitutes "re-education." Perhaps the prisoners are not sleep deprived, but I honestly would feel exhausted if I were to go through hard physical labor during the day and then playing video games for twelve hours monotonously. You can laugh and say, "Oh hey, you're sitting down playing games. Not that hard." Maybe if you were doing the same task over and over again for twelve hours without any sort of interaction with the rest of the game mechanic other than the one you're using to "gold farm" you'd think twice. Like I said, I can see the hilarity in this, but the underlying circumstances don't make me laugh.
