99 Thieving Achieved!
I dunno why I started to thieve again but I did lol. Was doing some Pyramid Plunder at first, then Yost (Brett) told me about the Monkey Knife Fighters and their awesome xp. On average there at level 85+ Thieving, I was getting about 250k to almost 300k an hour. As for money, got about 1 to 1.5 million a day depending on how long I've played. A lot of black knives got tossed into the GE, as well as rune scimitars, and dragon scimitars... Special thanks to Draga (Whispur) for always cheering me on and burping into the mic to annoy me to keep me awake. <_< Wuv you always! Special thanks to Yost (Brett) for telling me about the monkey knife fighters and getting me addicted to thieving. XD And of course, all you lovely people at Tip.it, Excl's CC, and Gaming Heavens. (With a very special thanks to Jason for tolerating my whining.) And now for a million pictures...! (Well, more like 16...) So to save us all, these pictures will be in clickable thumbnails! And in hide tags... :P [hide=16 Pictures of Randomness of 99 Thieving!] [/hide] I'm debating between going for 99 Slayer and 99 Dungeoneering, while working on Fletching in between to keep from going too insane... I'm less than 200k to 90 Slayer at the moment, but we'll see what happens I guess. I really like both capes though. Thanks again all!

POLL: What are your plans or goals for 2011?
Still working on getting all my stats to 80+.... RuneCrafting, Construction, Agility, and Hunter left. D'oh. Working on getting 99 Thieving, and maybe I'll get 99 Fletching (I have enough logs for 93 at the moment). Dungeoneering to 90+ is a must though. XD

What book are you currently reading?
Re-read Watership Down by Richard Adams. Amazing story of a group of rabbits that flee from their endangered warren to a new home, with danger lurking at every turn, lead by a rabbit whose foreshadowing helps to begin the story, and his brother to support him. The movie cuts a lot of important parts, particularly the folk stories that help the readers understand why are rabbits the way they are in terms of behavior and appearance, as well as the little challenges they faced, so I highly recommend reading the book if you haven't already. :D

The actual TRUTH of actual reality
The actual invention of actual fantasy is therefore the actual truth of actual reality, in which we perceive the actual invention as the actual reality of our beings, which in turn come to the conclusion that we only exist in a fantasy world and live it such that we feel that we are real, and only real to ourselves. The fantasy worlds we invent are therefore true to us because pretty unicorns prance among us in the form of horses, and faeries come in the form butterflies. I do not exist, for I am merely a perception of those around the perception, who are also perceptions. We have a paradox of perceptions perceiving other perceptions which overlap and come to the conclusion that everything around them is real. Might want to do something about the headache. Learn to accept people's opinions instead of being all up-in-your-face about it next time. All you've done is make quite a few people angry. ~*Locked*~

Thieving Guide Addition
Correcting a bit: 1 Black Knife P+, 1 Black Knife P++, 1 Black Knife P+++ Should be Black Knife (p), Back Knife (p+), and Black Knife (p++). No such thing as p+++ yet. :P
-
They should keep pking worlds.
Please use this thread for further discussion: http://forum.tip.it/topic/283143-wilderness-and-free-trade-vote-referendum/ Thank you! :)

New RuneScape trailer
I got shivers watching that. O_O That was epic, considering it's done on the RuneScape engine.

Editorial Panel Recruitment Drive
I usually leave a note for the editors about what specific English I'm writing in to help with the editing process. Otherwise either is fine and readable in both cases. Well, at least for me anyway. XD Best of luck to all applicants! Looking forward to seeing them. :D

Born Lucky
When the Treasure Trail update came out, I went and literally did 207 easy clue scrolls in nine days (I screenshot them all...), only because these were easy and fast to get. I ended up getting around 8 million, including several gold-trimmed black armor and mage robe items, and some random elegant clothing pieces and Bob shirts. It might sound like I was destined to get the items if I told you I only told you I got them in one week, but if I told you how many clue scrolls I did before I finally did get all those items, it may sound more random luck. Consider the higher level clue scrolls. Many want to get some Third-Age items. The problem is they are so rare. However, consider what if you managed to do a ton of the hard or elite clue scrolls in a short amount of time. You may get the items after all. Another example: The drop rates. Just because it says 1/750 doesn't mean that it will drop immediately after you've killed 750 of the monsters, but somewhere in that 750 mark you may be able to get one. However, the drop rates are set by players, not Jagex, so we cannot expect the rates to be that correct either. We can talk about frequency qualitatively, but not quantitatively.

Former Administrator Alduron has passed away
To me, he just seemed like a guy that could live forever because his spirit was just that powerful, despite the challenge he was facing. Was always quite the character, and loved his Scooby Snax. Thanks for showing us we can fight, Pup. Will miss you lots, but will never forget you.

Tip.it Times - 12th December 2010
My problem was the fact that people were obsessed with pointing out the mistakes rather than look at the articles, or whatever the performance was, as a whole. Sure details play a part in evaluations, but it shouldn't constitute the whole thing either. That's what gets me riled up sometimes. The Times doesn't "hire" writers just for people to grab and edit their articles. The point of the Times is to share some various insight the writers from the community may have, or have some more literary art awareness. We've done our best and hope our points get across. And while our ideas may not be completely clear, surely the writing is understandable enough to formulate your own ideas on what we did write, not how terrible our English is (unless it's something like "OMFG LOLOLOLOLOL DIS WUZ TEH BEST DEY OF MAH LIAFE!!!!" There I can forgive.). I appreciate the edits. What I don't appreciate is when people treat my articles like something they can use to cast against me because my English isn't up to their standards or completely forget about what the article is about because they're so deeply buried in the grammar and spell checks. The same thing applies with the in-game scenario. I'm not a perfect player moderator who knows the fine-print text on the RuneScape website on game play and rules, but I can still do my "job" to the standard, if not beyond, Jagex has set. Yet because of the shiny crown, people automatically assume that I'm supposed to be Miss Suck-Up-to-Jagex/Know-All-the-Rules/Pro-Gamer. <_< As soon as I say I don't know or object, I get flamed.

If you come across content that is not for general public viewing, I highly recommend NOT posting that stuff, especially if it is from a private forum. <_<

07-Dec-2010 - Warriors Guild and Dragon Defender
It took a lot of minutes (:P) and a few kills of the normal cyclops before I managed to get a defender... followed by a second one right after. Wanted to try to go for the helmet but there were just way too many people so I left and went onto my abyssal demon task. Oh man, dragon defender + whip... Maybe it's just my mind tricking me of the supposed awesome, but it certainly felt like I was actually hitting quite well. O_O'

Does Jagex overlook simple details?
Think back before the GE was created into existence. :P There was no wall then! We must have hair extensions in game because I can go from extremely short hair to extremely wild and outrageous long hair. :P But yea, it's all because of game mechanics. If the game were made to be like real life, it'd be so complicated that people wouldn't want to play it as much. :x (Think about it, in first person shooter games, if you get shot you're usually going to fall down after the first hit if not die... And yet the characters just keep on running...)

24-Nov-2010 - Tasks and Skill Targets
I actually had some fun doing these. :D Plus hey, something to look forward to for completing ALL the diaries. Shame there's no way I'll be able to do that in the near future. Oh well. I honestly like this style better, even though it feels a bit too much like WoW for me with the little window popping up. I still love it though! :D

"Life is too short to worry about highscores"
The first time I was exposed to a game console was when I was maybe eight or so with an SNES at my grandma's and an old Atari system that my uncle had there as well. Even then I was still kind of bleh, games. Now with computers it's easier, but at the same time it's all down to self control. Once it's time to get cracking at the books, I wave bye bye to RuneScape and my Steam games. When my friends want to go hang out, I go with them. But if I have nothing else better to do I game, simply for pure enjoyment. Yes I've been staying at home more than usual these days, but only because I'm avoiding unnecessary spending of money. Am I addicted to gaming? Yes, I'm willing to admit that. But is it controlling my life? As far as I can tell nope. I still go to school regularly, still do all my housework, etc. If anything I spend more time chatting with the people I know from the games I play on MSN, Skype, and Ventrillo during my free time.

Tip.It Times - 14th November 2010 (Writing Contest Winners)
Unfortunately, it's an academic article that requires membership to access the whole thing, and I can't legally copy and paste the whole thing. But here's the article if you DO have access to it via academic internet access: http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/short/304/7/772 The abstract of the article focuses on the decibels, but there are portions of the article that do cite the social changes that we're going through that play a role in going deaf.

I have to admit I got a wee bit annoyed by that, considering I had revised that article three times on my own, followed by two other revisions by two other people. We work hard to write these articles, and honestly, comments like that don't encourage us. Sorry I'm not an English major and that I don't get out the Bedford Handbook every time I write an article.<_< Apologies, please read my other responses for what will hopefully be some explanation of my strong criticism last night...! Much of what I said WAS designed to provoke a reaction, but by no means was it intended to belittle the efforts of the Times team. Forgiven. :shades: Although thanks to you, I have something to write about next month lol. So thanks. XD
