  1. Oh I know, onyx prices affect a lot of higher levelled players as a fury is quite desirable. Hopefully the prices will stabalise.
  2. Basically my idea, plus the fact that taking it out of the bank every 5 trips would slow you down a bit more, and you couldn't keep it on the same cycle as a glory due to the difference in charges Or, you could and bank the ones with one charge left and alk them. You'd get 2k back for one charge.
  3. You're over-exaggerating.. Currently there are probably only near 100 quests in the game 120 odd by my count, that's still a lot of questing.
  4. No, there are other factors, such as your defense level and their attack level. Also, even with negative attack whilst wearing cat toy etc I'm sure you still hit every now and then.
  5. Taken from the Kbase: Sapphire: Bracelet of clay (m) Wearer will mine soft clay rather than hard clay while wearing bracelet This item will help mine 28 pieces of soft clay before it breaks Emerald: Castlewars bracelet (m) Wielder will do extra 20% of damage against a bearer of their side's flag. Castlewars bandage heals 50% more to wielders of the bracelet. Has 3 charges. Bracelet loses one charge each time wearer starts a game of Castle Wars. Bonuses apply even if castlewars bracelet has used its last charge and been destroyed. Ruby: Bracelet of innoculation (m) Protects the wearer from an amount of disease damage Breaks when protection has been used up Diamond Abyssal bracelet (m) Prevents wearer from being skulled when entering the Abyss. Player still suffers from Prayer drain. This item has 5 charges before breaking Phoenix necklace (m) Automatically restores Hitpoints equivalent to 30% of the max stat if wearer drops below 20%. Has priority over Ring of Life This item is destroyed on use Dragon: Bracelet of combat (m) Allows wearer to teleport to Warriors', Champions' and Ranging Guild as well as the Monastery. Updates wearer with their Slayer totals every tenth target they need to kill Item holds 4 charges. Can be recharged at totem in Legends' Guild (requires completion of Legends' Quest) Necklace of skills (m) Allows wearer to teleport to Fishing, Mining, Crafting and Cooking Guild. Slightly increases chance of getting a casket when big net fishing. Item holds 4 charges. Can be recharged at totem in Legends' Guild (requires completion of Legends' Quest) Onyx: Bracelet of regeneration (m) Doubles the natural Hitpoint recovery Berserker necklace (m): Strength raised by 7 Stab Attack, Slash Attack and Crush Attack reduced by 10 Stab Defence, Slash Defence, Crush Defence, Magic Defence and Ranged Defence reduced by 20 Increases the amount of damage wearer does when wielding an obsidian melee weapon by 20%
  6. I bought a regen for 3.1mill muahahahaha ^^ Anyways let's put this clear :P Normal HP regeneration rate - 1 hp / min Rapid heal prayer regeneration rate - 1 hp / 30 seconds Regeneration bracelet regen. rate (without rapid heal) 2 hp / min Regen. brace + rapid heal prayer - 2 hp / 30 seconds. So you can now heal 2 hp every 30 seconds, coming down to 4 hp per minute, really useful for agility and killing many monsters like bandits without wanting to bank. I'm glad I got mine while it's still cheap :) LOL? Nice, u wasted 3.1m. 2 hp per minute is pointless. It's bairly worth 100k. Gratz. If he's happy with it, then it's a good purchase for him. Some people would rather have a dragon chain than torags plate and all the repairs you could afford, some people just value different things more than others. Anyway, on topic it's quite a nice update to me, I wasn't planning on making a proft and as such I can make some of my friends happy because I stockpiled some gems, I plan to give them some free jewellry and hopefully the update should cheer us all up, great update for the most part IMO.
  7. I think BTS oftens sets players up for a fall. Also, it always people to corner the market, personally although I do enjoy knowing what's coming up and speculating about it, I think jagex shouldn't be as precise about the things, if they'd just said they were updating some jewellry then this problem wouldn't be as big. Also, I like the rush of trying to get those new items, it entertains me for a few hours more than it probably would otherwise. Edit: Also, I didn't expect people would be so careless with such an expensive item, I really didn't expect any onyx item to fall below the price of the chaos needed to buy it, hopefully things don't get worse before they get better.
  8. I too was quite offended, but I think it's better to stop quoting him and just report him, that way we don't spread his hate and hopefully we clear up tif a bit.
  9. THere are ways you can use the diamond ones to the crafters advantage... like if there are pkers on a world..use it...if not, dont BUt it doesn't get rid of your skull so you either decide to wear it for all your nats or you may aswell not bother. There may not be pkers there when you start to rc but some could log in. It'll still help runecrafters I think. Considering it's not harder to get (basically) any good loot of somebody using the bracelet some abyss pker's will finally just give up and hopefully less people will end up abyss pk'ing and this will help those that don't use the bracelets. We can only hope this happens.
  10. I think Jagex is making references to the OOC. Remember the April fools? I asked a jmod about it and whether or not it was a reference to the OOC or not, but they were getting mobbed and didn't reply =/ Still, I'd love to be proven wrong :)
  11. Before I begin, this is only my opinion on what may happen, I'm not a big merchant and have no onyx items. Do not put too much faith into my theory, I'm no expert. Oh, long post too. I think we may be in for a bit of a ride with onyx prices, firstly I think the prices may drop a bit due to several factors: -Firstly before the update many players will have believed onyx prices (like most other gems) will rise with this update, so many (as I know have here) will have stockpiled onyx, also I believe players wanting a amulet of fury will have tried to get it before this update, believing they may be harder to get hold of and more expensive. -Next, a lot of highly desirable, and consumables have entered into the game. Players would rather spend their money stocking up on the abyssal bracelet and the new dragon items (some people may rather buy 28 of each than a onyx necklace or bracelet as then they can charge a enitre inventory of dragon bracelets/necklaces in one go). - Now factor in the fact that the new onyx items sound very bad when read about in the knowledge base, this means initially there will be low demand until people found out just how good (or bad) they are. Now, add in all these factors and that should mean there's perhaps the highest onyx gem and amulet count coming into the game (as the ammy still seems most desirable) with the lowest demand (people with enough cash would rather spend on other jewellry, many potential fury buyers may have rushed to buy them earlier). Later on however, I think the prices will rise due to: -Some merchants may believe the prices will steady, they'll take advantage of the lowered price and stockpile the gems, when the demand finally steadies the merchants will either keep hold of the gems and let the prices carry on raising while onyx gems trickle in, or we could see a lot coming back into the economy (leading to another drop possibly). -People will find out the items are probably quite good for pures, I've heard on here the onyx ammy can really raise the damage you can hit with obby items (good for obby pures) also I know the combat bracelet gives stat boosts, if the onyx is the same this is good for pures who cannot do rfd and have low def. Of course this will be limited by the fact few will risk such an expensive item in the wildy, but for the duel arena and training normally they could be quite useful. This could go either way depending on the first point, but we should see the prices rise for a time, then may drop as merchants begin to sell. Some other factors to add in will be if onyx prices start to drop, some merchants may panic and sell at an even lower price trying to minimize their profit, then when the prices start to rise again, some merchants may begin to buy the gems expecting them to keep raising (so that steady trickle of gems etc may still get taken by merchants waiting for a profit). Knowing our economy, the prices of onyx items are probably near impossible to guess, but still it's nice to speculate, personally i think we're in for lots of changes with onyx prices over the next few days, I'd like to see what some of the big time merchants thing about this. PS: Sorry for the long read and unorganised post.
  12. lmao!!! so true :) Then it's just as useless as an abbysal whip, because that's only a few pixels that impress people with it's look and the high hits you can do, which are also just pixels. In fact runescape is made up of pixels, and basically everything we do in the game should be to have fun, if you enjoy leveling a skill and the cape lets you enjoy the game more then of course it's worth it. His argument isn't so true, it's a stupid point. Basically everything you do in runescape could be argued is done for the sole purpose of showing off and impressing people, it all depends on our reasons, and the points he made can apply to any aspect of the skills and items in runescape not just skill capes. The only part that holds any truth is his last sentence, but if people are enjoying the game they're not wasting their time.
  13. If you were planning to use the house for a lot of prayer you might want to consider moving the chapel below the garden although it may look a little strange. You could then move the quest hall where the chapel used to be (opposite the skill hall) and then move down the dining room and throne room. Just a thought, I don't think it'd look quite as good but it'd be more practical for prayer.
  14. uhm... let me count... 1. atk, 2. str, 3. def, 4. hp, 5. prayer, 6. range, 7. mage, I don't count prayer and hps as combat skills because you can't attack with them (yeah i know about retrobution but thats just a technicality) You count defence though? :? Hitpoints and prayer are combat related, you can use prayer to increase the effectiveness of any other combat skill and without hitpoints you'd be dead.
  15. You could however see a snowball effect, seeing as the 360 currently leads in sales and games and you could see a snowball effect with more and more developers concentrating thier efforts on making 360 games, then poorting them as the 360 has the larger marketshare and more games to draw gamers in. Nintendo is after all, just one company and they've so far havn't got a very good online component set up. For me, the online element of games like Rainbow Six, Lost Planet and Call of Duty 2 has just made them so so much better to me people seem to forget that enabling a game to be played online with other players allows a lot of new gameplay options to be used.
  16. It's been 5 months since it's release and most stores still don't have Nintendo Wii in stock... :P You cannot simply say the Wii has better gameplay, because simply the Wii's hardware (by this I mean the Wiimote) allows the Wii to do things the PS3 / 360 can do whilst the 360 and PS3 have things the Wii cannot do. Also for sales, keep in mind the sales difference. People can put down $250 on the Wii based Zelda and the promise of more first party titles whereas the 360 you have to put down $300, but most will go for the $400 seeing as you don't have to buy something to save on. Also, the 360 has far more highly rated games than the Wii, the Wii has WarioWare, Super Paper Mario and Twilight Princess and a load of sloppy ports with the odd decent third party title. The 360 has Gears of War, Oblivion, Saints Row, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, DOA4, PGR3, Viva Pinata, PD0, Kameo, GRAW 1 & 2, Crackdown, COD2 & COD3, Rainbow Six Vegas, Blue Dragon, FEAR etc. Also keep in mind the 360's live arcade is getting far more new IPs than the Wii's virtual console, the 360 has a year lead and thus has far more AA and AAA games and there's nothing stopping the Wii doing a Gamecube and having it's sales grind to a (near) stop, it happened to the PS3 in the UK recently, after the initial rush it's seen a slump until later adopters have reason enough to spend ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã425 on one.
  17. Graphics are usually a good indication of the power something can utilise. Oblivion has amazing graphics, and it can really immerse you in the game, when you can stand on a mountain and see the entire game world stretch before you it can really get the adrenaline pumping and make you want to explore. Things like physics can give you a real sense of power, imagine smacking somebody to the floor and things bounce off the tables around you, the better things lik physics get the more immersed developers can make the player look at a game like portal I doubt that kind of gameplay could be produced on a PS2, probably not even the Xbox. As some people like to say, it's not what you have, it's how you use it. When in truth what you can do is limited by what you have, as impressive as Crysis is, I'm yet to see any hands on impressions although Far Cry was pretty damn good. Now freedom can often take away from the game, because then they just don't know what to do, often limiting what the player can do, so as to unlock more options is the way to go. Again, it's really about creating a balance, and I don't believe there's a perfect balance because everybody has different tastes, some people would like to have an ability in the game where it takes months to get it, where some people want to be able to do everything at once, you can't please everybody.
  18. I still have my set off studded (t) in my treasure chest, I'd sell it to you for 1m+ but it really isn't worth that mcuh, I don't think it's actually rare, it's just easy to get it confused with ordinary studded (t), I nearly high alked mine when i got them off a trail.
  19. This wouldn't drastically change combat, warhammers are seldom used as it is, this could make them more desirable as a crush weapon, although I'd make it so that the Warhammers would require one more bar when smithed and a higher smithing level, attaching [bleep]es seems silly to me. As for it being like a mace, as far as stats go, this would swap the prayer bonus for more attack and strength, also they have different speeds I think. The only way to really give this tool a lasting effect is if it was a f2p weapon (it could be quite effective against somebody in rune plate and legs) and for p2p a dragon version with a decent special.
  20. And would presumably have a bonus against fat monsters? Guthan is going down... He's just big boned! Why can't you guys just leave him alone...
  21. Noobs... Most of their bonuses would be in crush. They'd scream stuff as you whacked people like, free stoof plox!
  22. Btw, I'm 60 smithing and I've done devious minds, you can do it at 59 upwards with the help of an evil stew. You should put the level you can do the quest with an evil stew next to the number in brackets.
  23. Guthan the Pot Bellied Verac the Exhibitionist Not too sure about others...
  24. Would it be more logical to assume that any Sardomin related objects in their fortress were stolen?
  25. Who's to say these armours will all improve on the current ones. Everybody though white armour would be better than iniate, look how wrong they were. There are all sorts of things Jagex could do with the stats, they make make the armour *enchanted* so it had no negative magic defense. etc.
