  1. Love the cockatrice one: SSTTTTRRRRRAAIINNNNN!! -Ok, I'll leave you to it.
  2. If you use the long range style you get defence points aswell, I think you get the same amount of def xp as you get hp xp.
  3. If you're gonna write a story please, pretty please get rid of all the typos, spelling and grammatical errors, so we can at least read it.
  4. I've spend about 6M I'd say, I got 4 marble blocks and 7 gold leafes in my house. Despite the big spending the cash in my bank is only down by 2M and that's only because that's in my miscellenia coffers. In the first days of construction I sold over 3k oak planks, 500 teaks and 250 mahogany. At the rate they we're going they made up for what I was spending on the sawmill for my own materials.
  5. Yea, off all the tours of my house I've given to my friend all of them ended on the roof with the "and this concludes our tour" But for drop parties it's not really necesarry, you can just build a lot of gardens, which only cost 1k each and when you build nothing in them show up as empty space. You can however push the boundaries of your house outward by building the gardens, so you create a larger area to drop the goods in.
  6. Oh noes! You're firecape is cut in half  I guess you'll have to get Jad down to half hp to get the other half back
  7. Nice way to contradict yourself there  On topic: I was planning to do a trip like this myself, but I figured repairing arrows would be useless, as would staffs. I had some hope for swords since you can give them to the guy in port khazard and get up to mith or addy from him. Plates seem to have some odds for an addy plate, but I doubt you'll get any higher. On the subject of the tip.it bestiary being wrong: I'd say it's correct for 99.99% of the time and when they're wrong they either forgot some completely rare and random drop (like Jogres dropping rune javelins, they do, but I only got it once and I killed them from 51-70+ range and then some more hoping for a champ scroll) or they added something that someone said they dropped but was never confirmed (like the r2h drop from greaters, probably some kid bragging about having good drops and it got in the database since many people heard the story).
  8. Ok I messed around in building mode a bit and here's the results: [*:d97fy954]No, you can't build gardens on the second floor or underground. [*:d97fy954]You can only deleted a room when there's no room above it. [*:d97fy954]When you build 2 gardens, both with exit portals, you end up in the newest one (tried 10+ times, so the chances of it being random are none) [*:d97fy954]Even while the knowledge base says I can only build 2 floors above ground :?
  9. Yea bring an amulet of catspeak with you and a kitten, that will result in some very funny conversations :P
  10. I guess the biggest problem with making a def pure is that you can only hit 1 damage. How about training range too, but on long range style? You get def xp that way, although you won't be the lowest level to wear rune or dragon. With the high range level, maybe supported by a high mage level you might be a decent pker. More so with the mage levels since people can't hit you with mage or with melee :D
  11. Im having problems with my design too since I started building right after the update and kept going till I reached 67 last sunday. Luckily I don't have that many expensive items in my rooms (gold leaf, marble and active portals come to mind) and I only want to move or rotate some cheap rooms. My problem is that I can't move one of my rooms since it says it supports another. I think it's because my combat room is on the same spot one floor higher, but I'll have to check that out tonight (might mean I have to rip out my combat room, but I wanted to relocate that anyways :D ). Also one of the thing I'll be checking out is if I can build gardens on top of rooms, so on the second floor. The next thing I'm not to sure about, but I think my friend had 2 gardens in his house at one point, both with portals. When I entered I was in the second garden, at least I think so. I'll check it out tonight also, I love building gardens around my house and since theyre only 1k each it's something I can spare. I'll post back here in about 3 hours with the results :)
  12. Yea same here, but I allways go by this rule: If I can get the fruit from the tree elsewhere, like pineapples, bananas, apples and so on, the tree goes down, if I can't, like with curry tree and papaya, I only replace it with the same kind of tree. This does mean some of your fruit tree patches become fixed (1 for curry, 1 for papaya), but since you hardly get tree seeds in great amounts, that doesn't really matter.
  13. Bookmarked for sure! I'm somewhat of a skiller, even though my combat is 103 (slayer does that :) ) and I love to read methods from other skillers. Keep up the great work :D A little note about farming the herbs: the fourth patch (ardougne) is quite far from a teleport spot and it's a 2 laws tele too. If you really are on a budget or don't have that much laws to burn skip that one. I allways start out at port phasmatys, tele to fally and finish at catherby because there's so much you can do there. You can fish (public chat set to off  ), cut yews/willows, high alch or fletch in the bank. When growing the herbs it's also smart to grow something in the flower patch too and maybe even in the allotments if you have the seeds. It doesn't hurt to bring 6 baskets with you on a herb planting trip and although the xp isn't that good it adds up over more trips. Best thing to grow would be sterawberries since you can put them in baskets, next best thing is tomatoes for the same reason and the seeds are easier to get (4k tomatoes in bank, never bought any  ). It seems my little note turned into quite a story, but I guess it's good to share methods :D
  14. I've never like blues in terms of getting clue scrolls. I must have killed a couple of thousand blues and only remember getting 1 clue. Hellhounds on the other hand have better odds since I once got 6 clue scroll in a slayer assignment of 150 something.
  15. Or you could read a book  That's what I did, I read the Da Vinci Code while getting 76 fishing :D Granted you might log out from time to time, but it's good fun.
  16. Yea pure ess can sell up to 100 each when in amounts above 2k, I think if you buy it below 70 each you got a good deal. For chaos your best bet is buying from rune shops. Theres a lot of them around the rs map and with 132 worlds now available you got good odds to find a shop that is still full with runes.
  17. I did 99 fletching from 70 in about 3 months, I think I made 35-40M of it too :D It's not the fastest money in the game, but it's a sure way of making it, as opposed the merchanting.
  18. Aw you beat me to the punch, I was gonna say the exact same thing :D Very nice and clearly explained though, probably better then I would have said it.
  19. Agreed. When you can make spiral staircases thats no longer necessary, since they can be accessed from all sides and as a bonus can connect more then 2 floors. Meaning that theres no longer need for a skill hall to go to the basement, a skill hall to go to the second floor, a skill hall on the second floor to go to the third floor, but you will only need one skill hall/quest hall per floor (hope I'm making sense here :? ) What bugs me about the formal garden is that the fencing skips the doors even when theres no door there! I build a formal garden with a blind wall at one side and nothing on 2 other sides hoping that the fence would close it off, but it leaves space at where the door would normally be :( They should add it so we can build walls in door spots so my house and garden isn't open on 7 sides, but has a front and maybe a backdoor, but nothing more.
  20. Great googly moogly  That's an amazing amount of nests you got there! Man, I just pulled out all my money yesterday because I reached my desired construction level and don't need anymore rare woods. Now when I get home I'll surely put in a couple of millions on maples and coal. Besides the great farming xp and some nice profit I can use the maples to get 99 firemaking, right after I burn the 12k yews I have left (Yes, I know 99 firemaking is quite pointless, but I'm a skill totaler I can't resist it)
  21. The archive of knowledge is a stickied post in which Leester collects all guides that are worth reading again some day. So even if the guide already dropped down to page 137 you can still find it there. Here's the link: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=333760 You can either post there with a link to your topic or pm Leesters (the original poster) with that link.
  22. Id put the chapel to the south of the garden with the portal room to the right, with a door between them. This way you enter in your garden, open the south door, pray, walk into portal room, canifis teleport back to barrows  Also I wouldn't place your questhall north of your skill hall, but rather on top of it. Having another floor is really cool and having a questhall or skillhall without stairs is hideous (trust me on that one :( ) A thing you'll have to look into is the number of doors every room can have. The portal room only has 1 door, so does the throne room. Bedrooms have 2, so does the kitchen and the workshop. The study I'm not sure off so thats worth checking.
  23. I had the same problem, sort of. I was 81 combat with 40 range when I joined members, so I wanted to get 70 to wear black d hides. I trained at Jogres because they drop lvl2 clue scrolls, they have something like 60 hp and their defence is not that high. Just east of the shilo gates are 2 jogres with a nice little safe spot, where I hid myself from the rest of runescape untill my range level was 70 8-)
