Stem Cell Research
However the outcomes are still the same, it's an abortion. A person's body killing a foetus is no different from a person killing a foetus, you still have a dead foetus. Lifestyle choice such as obesity, caffeine, alcohol, physical harm, aspirin, ibuprofen etc. can all elevate miscarriage. You do have some control over the circumstances; negligence of the mother does result in 'accidental abortion' which can be as planned as a regular abortion. Well, in my opinion, ends don't justify means.

Stem Cell Research
Which is just another name for spontaneous abortion. No. It's accidental abortion. A miscarriage is unintentional, whereas an abortion is planned. Calling it a different name won't change the circumstances.

Red Hot Chilli Pepper Lyrics
In my opinion, hardly anything they sing about has any meaning, depth, or comprehendability. Which begs the statement, I'm not a fan :P

Laptop fans
I would assume that's normal, as my laptop fan only runs when the insides get too hot.

How often do you tire of your favorite songs?
I used to kill music that way. Yes, I call it "killing music". I relate it to overeating, or gluttony.

Wow, I just literally rofled when I saw this!
Agreed.

Stem Cell Research
Aye, but this isn't a benefit to everyone. Someone who can't afford a procedure that makes them smarter is going to get screwed by someone who can. The rich will get richer. @BlueTear: I'm not sure if stem cell research and this topic are relevant - I do have a friend in 2nd year biomed and he said that in his medical philosophy class they were discussing how far we could take stem cell research, and this came up.

Stem Cell Research
Few can. Yes, because anyone not for this is a fundamentalist  Honestly, we all know you hate anyone that opposes your views Viktor, there's no need to keep shoving it down our throats in every thread. MY problem with stem cell research is where we draw the line. Like in the future, when you can just alter some of your genetics and make yourself a genius, should that be legal?

whats your favorite....?
If you're wondering what forum is for what, there is a description underneath the title. For example, this forum: So, no, it doesn't go here.

No post about Ted Haggard yet? Okay then...
Televangelism is garbage.

Is the triumph of liberal ideas a tendency on the long term?
I believe it comes in waves, but I don't think we're getting a conservative reform for a while. I figure we will first be seeing pedophiles satirized in sitcoms (it's just their lifestyle choice, don't judge), or return to romanistic morality (deathmatches, public prostitution, harems, you know how it is) before we finally realize how [developmentally delayed]ed we're being and switch things up.

God, from a programmer's point of view.
Essentially from nothing? So basically what you mean is, physicists have ascribed a new definition to the word nothing so that they can get around that roadblock.

Post all trivial Youtube videos here
Please keep in mind when posting a video if you believe it to be offensive do not post it all, not even in hide tags with a warning label. Refrain from posting videos with excessive swearing. Failure to follow this will result in action being taken against your account ~ Jimmy_Jim A few users have (thankfully) been complaining about the influx of pointless youtube links posted in topics with little more than the link given. To reduce the amount of this spam, youtube links are banned unless posted for good reason, and have a good post backing the link up. Anesthesia says: unless you're centering a deep philosophical post around a video you post the link here. Topics centred around trivial videos will be locked.

Any Christians - Need Help Regarding Christmas Trees
This is kind of something that bugs me about Christmas. People will celebrate it, yet get offended when you call it Christmas. I mean, if you're going to celebrate it, do everything how it's always been, why not just call it what it is. It's Christmas. And if you don't want to do that, then celebrate it on a different day. Because December 25th is Christmas day :P

Official NBA 06-07 Thread
I'm surprised Toronto's doing as well as they are so far in preseason. That being said, I can't stand watching basketball. I just catch the highlights (while waiting for hockey highlights) on sportscentre in the morning.

It's the same for me, but not nearly as bad as it was two weeks ago.

Tip.it NHL Fantasy League
I really don't understand how this works. I have the 3rd most points (goals/assist-wise) in the league yet I'm 0-7. Guess I'm just not cut out for this ^_^
