Snapdragons give the best profit (but you need 62 farming) If you can't plant snapdragons, do ranarrs. I average just below 6 herbs a seed with ranarr (and that includes herb deaths) (data from 50 herb runs) Use supercompost, but don't babysit your herbs. Leave your herbs to live or die. You've got better things to do than watch a plant grow.

Aside from placeholders, there's really not much room for improvement. Personally, I put my money at the top left-hand corner, so it's readily available. I'd put chisels next to gems, as well. As for your teleport jewelry - try to get them to the same number of charges. No big deal, though. I also like to put summoning scrolls next to the summoning pouch that uses it - I'd put the terrorbird scroll next to the terrorbird pouch. Also, drop what you don't need. Do you really need you red and blue dhides? Aside from those little details/ personal preferences, really really nice bank organization!

Know a way to make money with no skills? Post it here!
dorcus1 replied to Captainkidd's topic in Help and Advice
What about making supercompost? Buy pineapples in GE for 200 ea or so, make supercompost, sell supercompost for around 700 ea. : Not sure if this requires any farming lvls, though. I think you can do it at lvl 1 farming. -
The 27-logs-per-invy is definitely the fastest firemaking invy out there, in terms of short-term speed. Unfortunately, that system isn't for me. Too much mouse movement, I'm afraid :? . I can't keep that up for more than 10 minutes without making mistakes, whereas my system is puts less stress on the hands. That works, too. Hmm... it all depends on the balance between as many logs per invy versus user-friendliness. I'm leaning towards the user-friendliness.
-
I want help on tweaking my firemaking inventory. I think I've got it perfect, but maybe I'm missing something small. This is my current firemaking invy: I start at the top-left corner. Follow the red line, and double-click on the tinderbox on rows two and five. 18 logs per invy. I'd appreciate it if anyone can tweak the invy so there are more logs, but the same amount of user-friendliness.

Guide to the quickest way of mining rune essence (P2P only)
dorcus1 replied to dedhed100's topic in General Guides
Out of curiosity, do you lose energy overall when using pouches? Because if you do, you should be using energy potions. An energy pot dose is basically free (3-dose energy pot is 100 gp, vial is 80gp) It's a good guide but I've seen something like this on these forums before. Don't remember where it is, though. 9/10, because you can't really make this guide better without spending 10 hours searching for the most effective way. -
Large image: [hide] [/hide] I saw this pic posted on these forums a while ago... Makes you wonder about customer support, doesn't it? If Jagex makes mistakes like this, then they shouldn't have the power to perm-mute someone. I think a three-month mute is the worst (in terms of muting) that they should be able to do. I support your idea, though I feel replacing the perm-mute with a three-month mute is a better idea, given the state of customer support.

A suggestion to the players: A way around the new trade sys.
dorcus1 replied to demonfirzen's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I've recently thought of another way around the trade system: runecrafting with runners. The catch is that in this case, the runners aren't paid. For example, a runner trades 26 essence while the crafter trades 13 nats. This is a rough example, but it could potentially be used for RWT. The thing is, the trades are even. But the RWT bots/ people-running-for-real-world-money do the running for the crafter, allowing the crafter to have an insanely high rate of income. But, I admit, willow longs (u) are still an easier way to RWT, until bogus prices are fixed. -
In no particular order: Dreamfall: The Longest Journey 2 Oblivion Pokemon Final Fantasy 4 That's all that springs to mind, I'm not really an RPG fan

Should I Continue training... or sould i make money?
dorcus1 replied to Batboy23130's topic in Help and Advice
Depends on what you think is more important. This isn't really about making cash vs. getting a rune defender. It's about getting a rune defender vs. not getting a rune defender. Are you willing to sacrifice the time and money for a rune defender, and will it be worth it? Heck, you're 2/3 of the way there. Push on for the rune defender! If you run out of money, then sure, stop. Otherwise, grind on for the rune defender. -
i need to make money.. plz anyone could help out?
dorcus1 replied to famfrit007's topic in Help and Advice
You can still run airs... though at a reduced profit. Just request assistance from someone doing x7 airs or so. You'd get 1100 profit each run (you get 7x25 runes, which at 10 ea comes to 1750gp, minus 25 ess at 25 ea (625gp) and this comes to 1100 gp profit per run) -
Best money making method? ( profit wise obviously)
dorcus1 replied to joey11223's topic in Help and Advice
The best way to make money is to merchant through the GE. When the trade balance update came, nat prices went up because nat running got nearly wiped out. Nats went from 259 ea to 277 ea in a week. Look at future updates and guess how the prices are going to be affected. Try to second-guess the market. Although this requires little actual effort, you need to have a good amount of money to start with (100k should be enough to start you off, though more is better) and you need to predict the prices well. It could take a few days for GE prices to change, and you could guess wrong and lose money. Hope that helps -
The US Department of Defense defines terrorism as "The calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

20 minutes or 15 minutes isn't much of a difference. It still feels too short. And abyss rcing is the only way to get skulled now. Interesting. I wonder how many people know about this, seeing as I always get pestered on the GE about my skull. The days of seeing lots of skull at Varrock are over now. :( I'll miss those days.
-
I just thought it would be fun to comment on the "rarity" of being skulled. I'm an abyss rcer. When I go to the GE to buy/sell supplies, I always get asked "How you get skull?" The skull is a fun "object", except that it only lasts for 15 minutes. Do any of you get followed when you get skulled? I feel like going to an f2p world and walking around with a skull, just for fun. Btw, does anyone know any other way to get skulled other than going to abyss?

What's the difference between a flower and a weed? They're both plants, and a flower in one place may be called a weed in another. It's only the gardener's arbitrary definition that separates the flowers from the weeds. What's morally right to eat and what's not? It depends on the morals and customs of the society in question. I personally believe it's perfectly fine to eat meat. The only problem I see with meat is that it takes 10kg of grain to make 1kg of meat. I cut down a bit on my meat consumption to use fewer resources (save the world). I don't see anything wrong in eating meat. P.S. Has anyone here read H. G. Wells's "The Time Machine"? It's an interesting moral issue when humans branch off into two species, with one species treating the other as livestock.

You lost 1 mill. It's not the end of the world, but it's bad enough. 20% of your wealth wiped out in a lost-connection. Life throws you a curveball or two. It's really, really crummy luck, and you got punished for your internet company's mistake. But your solution is completely unreasonable. A lost connection is a lost connection, whether it be on purpose or not. Imagine if Jagex actually used your solution. "Oh, no! I'm getting crushed by " *yanks out connection cord* Be patient, and good fortune will eventually come to you.

Depends on whether you're a member or f2p, and whether you're banking or not. If you're powermining, go to the al-kharid triangle. If banking... As a member I personally have a house in Rimmington. Telly to Rimmy, mine iron, glory telly to edgy bank, and repeat. As an f2per, I used to mine the two iron rocks in southwest varrock. I hired a runner, and I think i paid him 500 or 700 gp a run. One invy spot should be for noted iron the runner brings back, and another invy spot should be for the gold you're gonna pay him. *I know you're not actually banking, but you still get the ores* \

What to keep, what to lose F2P Bank (screen inside)
dorcus1 replied to Sou1searcher's topic in Help and Advice
If push ever comes to shove, get rid of two types of ammies. Stick with the power ammy for overall good bonuses. If you're training melee, you *might* wanna keep the str ammy. If you're training mage, you *might* wanna keeps the mage ammy. Take a good, hard look. Anything you haven't been using in one or two months should go. -
Is training combat with controlled a "bad" idea?
dorcus1 replied to Captain_Shiv's topic in Help and Advice
Training with control doesn't seriously "gimp" your training. But... Say you train att, str, then def. (1 lvl each) when you get that att lvl, you can use it straight away. The extra accuracy comes in quickly. You can have that better accuracy sooner than you would have by using controlled. -
Simple. It's assumed that you can't do double nats. It's a helpful but wrong assumption, made for ease of calculation. To the OP: Amazing guide. I love how you compare different methods by money/hour. 10/10 for detail and income comparisons

Against a lesser demon (assuming you stay behind some obstacle and the demon can't reach you) the damage received would be the same. A big, fat 0. Defense only helps you avoid attacks. Defense won't reduce the opponent's max hit. What character are you making? If you're a generalist, go for good defense. If you're going to pk/duel, you're gonna be a pure offensive machine (1 def or 40 def for green dhide).

When i cast curse should i wield a water or earth staff or a weapon? Use a water or earth staff. You'll be spending a lot less (maybe 35% less) money that way.

The shape is a kite. The two "diagonals" (don't know the exact term) are perpendicular, and one diagonal bisects the other. Or you could say that triangle BEC is congruent to triangle DEC by SAS. segment BE is congruent to segment DE Angle 8 is congruent to Angle 9 segment EC is congruent to segment EC Therefore, DC = BC

If you just have too much nervous energy, jog at a fast pace for 5 to 10 minutes. The trick here is to burn off your nervous energy, but not get too tired. Aside from that, be cheerful. Expect nothing. Don't expect to do well, and don't expect to fail. Think of the competition as a game. It's just a game and doesn't have any cosmic importance, so the results don't really matter. Hope that helps.
