new lunar spells?
Tbh... IF this new quest is going to add anything, it will be an update for rangers... Of all Fremenniks, Rellekka/main land is very warrior based, Lunar is very magic based, the Isles are very skilling based, and the Kingdom is very cash-flow based... thoughts anyone?

Sharks... Obsolete?
Tuna Potatoes are never burned, because at 68 cooking, you dont burn potatoes, or tuna, or sweetcorn... Same goes for Cakes if you want cooking xp, meaning you get more xp per thing cooked overall on cakes, then you would on sharks, simply because you dont burn cakes... And for fishing xp, go harp00n some monkfish

new lunar spells?
Home Port tele would be nice... I'm curious to the fact if "Bake Pie" allows you to bake pies beyond your cooking level... Can anyone test this for me? It doesnt seem likely, but it would be nice... As for what spells to add to Lunar: Medium Alch (we got low and high) Tan Hides is something I'd expect too Grind Grain? (turning all grain into pots of flour) Spin Flax for a higher level usage Smelt Ore... And how about an option to build a Moon Clan Tele-portal in your house?

30 April 2007 - 24 Carat Update
Combat Bracelet (Dragonstone) and Phoenix Necklace (Diamond) can be a good substitute for Ring of Life and Glory while runecrafting through the abyss... The Phoenix Necklace activates a lot sooner then Ring of Life. The Combat Bracelet teleports you to Monastary, close to Edgy... Not only that... The Combat Bracelet also teleports you to the Ranging Guild, relativly close to the Legends Guild, allowing for quick recharges... Bring along your Glories too, because the Warriors Guild is close to the Heroes Guild... The Beserker Necklace (Onyx) I suppose is good for Obby Maul pures Necklace of Skills (Dragonstone), what can I say... FINALLY a rechargable law-free teleport to Varrock and Falador, and even close to Ardougne. Not to mention the uses in mining Gold Ore due to Crafting Guild acces... And Fishing Guild teleport allows relativly quick recharging at the Legends Guild... IMO the best one amongst there. The Castlewars Bracelet confuses me. If someone can confirm that you only have to wear it at the start of the game for the 20% damage, and can then switch to Barrows Gloves, it'll be an AWESOME item. Otherwise you gotta have some good weapons for it to be usefull... Another thing, does this damage apply to ancients and chinchompas as well? Mining a full invent of soft clay with your Bracelet of Clay (Sapphire) will be usefull for those that make teletabs for a living, but I dont see how these would be used on a large scale... The Ring of Recoil (Sapphire) has seen an update too. It used to deal 25% of the damage done to you back on your opponent, now its 10%. The Bracelet of Innoculation sounds rubbish. But after yet another disease curing update (remember Sanfews Serum?) I cant help but think that a plague or something is about to sweep the lands... The Phoenix Necklace heals you back up to 30% of your hitpoints once you fall below 20% of your hitpoints. Not much useful for Dharokers, but I suppose for some tough quests it can eb quite usefull. Combined with a Ring of Life theres a good chance you get to keep your stuff... The Bracelet of Regeneration is something I cant possibly think of a use for. Maybe when training Agility, perhaps when training combat ohn the lighter creatures, but spending a massivly expensive Onyx on this seems better spent on a Fury amulet... Thats my views on the new Jewelry for now. Top mentions to the new Dragonstone stuff. Sapphire Bracelet and perhaps Castlewars Bracelet are allright. Diamond Necklace would be mediocre if it wasnt a necklace, the rest I think isnt worth the attention... [Don't post all in 1 color ~Kill Life]

TSA Blog: Because sometimes, Angels need a sharp sword too.
First off: this is NOT a recruitment post... I'm just here to tell you about us as a clan, because I dont think we've been properly introduced on these forums. You've probably seen a few of us as regular posters on these forums. To name a few names; Mario Sunny, Leader of CTET Pieman Wurmskin Spatulus Lord Troyus Deejay_hr And a ton of people that will probably complain when they dont see their name on this list. A full list of our people can be found here, or on our website if you wish to see the ranks within the clan. We've participated in all but 1 CTET Clan events as a clan, and won all but 1 of participated. For full details you should browse the CTET forums... Our clan itself isnt much different then most other clans, but we do certain things a little different. For example, we have a number of specialized people who made it their goal to provide their skill as a service to our clan. This ranges from a high Runecrafting level to get more runes for your essence, a high Smithing level to get your higher level stuff smithed, or even a Herb Trade-in shop where you can get a few high level Potions in exchange for a lot of low level Herbs, to having a house with a guilded altar. Not only do people gladly use these services, but they understand that it is wise to have 1 person with 82 Herblore, rather then 2 people with level 75 Herblore. Indeed, with "buy-able" skills, we understand that the lower levelled people should help out the higher levelled. We used to be a pretty poor clan when we first started out, but recently very few people walk around that didnt have atleast 1 piece of barrows. I guess you could say it is that we are largely a skilling clan, but on occasion, we do get into fights. The few fights we've been in so far have been organised somewhat, as they have been CTET :). But there was a time that we were almost on the brink of war with a clan known as Timeless. This was due to them taking in a member that scammed one of our own out of a set of Guthans, but in the end we solved it diplomatically... Our staff is experienced, and fortunately do not always agree with eachother. = TS_Stormrage, Leader. Thats me, so I'll leave the commenting on that for others. = Toiletpaper8, Standard Bearer. Officially in charge of any and all events of this clan, but the unofficial 2nd in command, taking control whenever I cant be there to do it. = Lord Troyus, Master Sergeant. In charge of recruitment, but his duties span well beyond that. He is always up for anything, and knows his way well around on RS. He can probably teach you a thing or two at just about everything. = Spatulus, also Master Sergeant. He too is in charge of recruitment, and screens new applicants thoroughly on my order. He knows every fiber of the clan and how it works, and gladly shows you around. = Moon Boy 109, Master Treasurer. In charge of any and all financial matters of the clan, keeping the prices of our services in check, and making sure that every trade made IN the clan is a win-win, and making sure that trades from outside the clan are always good for us. If he cannot help you get rich, noone can. = Mario Sunny, Ambassador. Our latest addition to the staff got this position when he asumed leadership of the CTET, because then he is in a unique position to open diplomatic channels, as well as keep them open after things went south. These guys are very good at what they do, even when on occasion they dont see eye-to-eye. But that's ok, because it keeps everyone on their toes... We dont have an endgame in mind as a clan, but we do want to leave our mark. To do this our members understand very well that a friendly atmosphere in the clan itself is a must, as well as the need for action to continuously put ourselves in the spotlight. Once again, this is NOT a recruitment post, we do not recruit actively, nor on a large scale such as advertising ourselves, because it could quite easily deteriorate the good things we have going right now. If we recruit, we first want to get to know you, and for that you must come to us, not us to you. We have a website which is posted in my, and many other's, signature should you be extremely eager to check us out... This topic can be used to ask questions of our clan, challenge us, and all that jazz, but for the last time NOT FOR RECRUITMENT A few things worth knowing about our clan: - We always look for the best advantages, and try to get the edge on everything and everyone. Its not uncommon that through teamwork we manage to beat a team averaging 20 levels higher in the Fightpits, largely because we utilise tactics that are either not well known, or simply too unconventional for normal use. - We also research everything. Sure, some of us run in head over heels into a new dungeon, but there is always someone who will work out what to wear and what to do, if a weapon is truly more powerfull, if certain changes in outfit would benefit at all, and so on and so on... - We do not tolerate cheaters, and will report even the most loyal of members. Our ethics may not always be on the level, but we will not break any of the rules set by Jagex. Our reputatioon will not be ruined by the actions of 1. - As I said, we research everything. This includes potential enemies and friends (both single person and whole clan alliances at a time). Make sure you have a clean history, because we will find out. - more to come ;)

Sharks... Obsolete?
It's amazing how each aspect of the Shark is rendered obsolete, but when combining these aspects into 1, you have something that is far from it. The current shark price at time of writing is 500gp each. (480-530) I think they'll hold steady at that point for now...
-
Sharks... Obsolete?
Hey! Thats only to clan! If you want my cheap Tuna-spuds, come join...
-
Sharks... Obsolete?
Not dropping because people want other people to buy more... Prices are dropping because everyone has the sharks they need and now everyone is stuck with a load that they cant sell for 1k each anymore...

Sharks... Obsolete?
Ive been thinking about the price drop of Sharks (they are now 500-550gp) Now next to autoers there could be other reasons why these have dropped so much in value. What uses are sharks? Fishing XP Cooking XP 20 HP food Recharging of your Lyre. Thats pretty much all the uses I could come up with... For Fishing XP, Monkfish is way faster then Sharks, requiring a lower level to fish, and getting you more XP per item caught. The only drawback is that it requires a few quests to be completed, so it's not for the non-questing and non-combat people... For Cooking XP, sharks are the best when you really wanna speed it up. So timewise, sharks are still the best. However, if you dont want to spend a lot of time fishing, or a lot of money buying the sharks raw, you may wish to consider baking Cakes in your own POH. It gets you 180 cooking xp, and all items required are already in your Larder and on your Shelves. And its not that slow either, because you burn a lot less, if at all. So for free 99 Cooking you could consider using this method amongst some others... Now, a 1 bite, 20 HP food item is nice. Infact what could be better? Ofcourse there are more items to consider when you're using inventory space as a parameter. Saradomin Brews are most effective, healing 2 plus 10% of your HP level (even boosting them beyond), 4 times per inventory slot, drawback is that it reduces some other skills. Basket of Strawberries are nice too. Healing 30 hitpoints per basket of 5 Strawberries. Drawback here is that you gotta remove one from your basket everytime. There are various Pies that heal 22hp, but in 2 bites (11hp each bite). Summer Pies (+10% energy and +5 Agility each bite), Wild Pies (+4 Range and +5 Slayer each bite), both heal 22 hp, and have added bonusses. Pineapple Pizzas also heal 22hp in 2 bites. But if you need lots of hitpoints, and fast too, Tuna Potatoes are your thing. Healing 22hp at one bite, an invent full of these heals 56 MORE hitpoints then an inventory full of Sharks. The drawback of these is that it has a lot of ingredients; Raw potato, cook it, add butter. Bowl and knife to cut up Cooked Sweetcorn and cooked Tuna in the same bowl, add this bowl to the potato. [hide=Recipe for Tuna Potatoes] [*:2bwmwpil]Farm some Sweetcorn [*:2bwmwpil]Fish some Tuna [*:2bwmwpil]Pick a raw Potato [*:2bwmwpil]Buy a Bowl, Knife and some Butter (Culinaromancers chest, dont bother churning it yourself) [*:2bwmwpil]Cook the Sweetcorn [*:2bwmwpil]Cook the Tuna [*:2bwmwpil]Cook the Potato (must use range) [*:2bwmwpil]Use Pat of Butter on Baked Potato [*:2bwmwpil]Use empty Bowl on Tuna, must have a knife in your inventory [*:2bwmwpil]Use Sweetcorn on the Bowl with Tuna [*:2bwmwpil]Use the Bowl of Tuna and Corn on your Baked and Buttered Potato [*:2bwmwpil]Eat for 22hp[/hide] So hitpoint wise, Tuna Potato beats a Shark hands down. The last use of a Shark (must be raw), is to recharge your Lyre. When you have completed Garden of Tranquility, you will have yourself an activated Ring of Charos. When you wield this, you can also use a Raw Bass to recharge your Lyre witht he same charges as a raw Shark (2). On top of that, raw Sea Turtles and raw Manta Ray (both gained from the Trawler minigame) will recharge your Lyre with three and four charges respectivly. Having your POH in Rellekka will negate this even further. (Imagine if you could wield a Lyre in your POH much like a Glory Amulet)... So are Sharks obsolete? Not entirely. But for the persistant people who will want that extra edge, as well as putting in the effort to get it, they are...

The Goblin Mace
Obviously, the draining of prayer from your opponent isnt much of a nice effect here... It's mainly the re-fueling of your own. But with it using a full spec bar, and it otherwise being a lousy weapon, the ONLY use I can imagine for this is when you can use the spec BEFORE you go into battle... During battles it is just not good enough, but when you enter with 70/60 prayer into a battle, you're lasting an additional 10 points longer... This could be applied to a plethora of monsters like the KQ or DKs... However at barrows where your prayer drains a lot faster, you'd still need pots... So when do you use this? Everytime you have a full spec bar, but arent expected to be going into combat any time soon. Basicly you're giving yourself a temporary prayer bonus, saving perhaps 1 dose of rpayer potion... PS: It's not a Dwarven Mace, its called an Ancient Mace

Farming Updates (well, tweaks is more like it)
I've been examining the uses of the Farming skill, and while there is great potential, it seems somewhat un-realized. Here are a few tweaks I wish to suggest: Papaya Trees Other then for eatage, and paying your farmer to watch your Coconut Tree, what use do Papayas have? I say, change this to an Olive Tree (while everything else stays the same). Pick the olives, and crush them into 1 dose of Olive Oil which you need a Pestle and Mortar to do. I've always hated it that you can only BUY Olive Oil, or randomly get it from an Afflicted Mor'ton Villager which you have used a Serum on (be it 207 or 208)... Sweetcorn You cannot put these in sacks or baskets, but when harvesting them, you get way more then half an inventory full per patch. With 2 patches of these, and a Herb patch, I often have to walk THREE times to the bank to unload everything. Let Sweetcorn (just the raw) be put into Sacks. Curry Trees These have little use again, other then paying a farmer to watch a patch for you, or use on a stew to make Curry, something that can also be done with much easier to obtain Spice. In addition, let these leaves also be used to strengthen the Tea you make in your POH, giving an additional +1 bonus to your construction level (for a total of +4 with gilded cup). This means that you have to take the leaves into the house, and then make the Tea, ofcourse). I've pondered other produce, but everything already has their use cut out for them. Although Bittercap Mushrooms should be able to be used instead of Mort Myre Funghi in the Potion business, perhaps. Strawberry is already highly valued for their use in Summer Pies, for example, and even Sweetcorn has it's use in Tuna Potatoes.

Cooking- The cold truth
Ehm... level 95 cooking is required for a Summer Pie. A Pie with as ingredients a Strawberry, a Watermellon and an Apple. Has two bites, and 1 bite does: 11hp healing 10% energy healing +5 Agility (temporarly ofcourse) If this isnt good for training agility, I dont know what is...

Lunar Magics - Big fan but ------
Let's see... Imbue Magic (barely used, only a very few rcers use it) Fertile Soil (somewhat used) Superglass Make (you lose a huge chunk of the crafting xp using this spell.) String Jewelry (used once in a while, but only on rare ocasion) That's all. The only other spells used are Vengence, and for lurers, telegroup ice plateu. Nothing more. Do 6 spells count as a spellbook? Not in my eyes. And from ancients we use: Ice burst, Blood Burst, Ice Barrage and Blood Barrage. Blood Blitz and Edgeville Teleport...

Translation to the letter we're not supposed to read.
How? Just look at the picture, the first words are obviously Surok Magis, making sence since that was the reciever, same goes for the last 2 words... common sense, connect the dots, yin-yang, fingerspietzen gefÃÆÃâÃâühl, fill in the blanks, cross some i's, dot some t's, etc...
