  1. Which means paying for another server or more bandwidth, defeating the entire purpose. :? All of Tip.It's policies stop users from leeching various thing from them. They sure as hell aren't going to go leeching bandwidth from someone else.
  2. That's probably one of the stupider things I've read around here. A dedicated server doesn't 'nick' bandwidth from somewhere else during an overage. It also doesn't get 'cutback' when near an overage. Tip.It pays for enough bandwidth to cover what is used during the month. If they didn't, the host would charge them per gigabyte over that allowance. A dedicated server doesn't work like a home connection's bandwidth allowance...
  3. Are you sure they are not empty? How do you know they aren't? Was the printer sitting for a long time since it was last used? In the mean time, you can try a head cleaning. You should be able to find the option to run one in the section with test pages and alignments in the printer settings.
  4. First, deleting your first post is annoying as hell. Now nobody will know what was being talked about when the thread was started. :wall: That card should be fine. Looks a little expensive ($79 on newegg :? ) but it'll do the job.
  5. Even if you do get it running, you'll be hitting the website 2,880 times a day and that won't sit well with Jagex. You'll stand out like crazy in their usage statistics and will most likely end up blocked from the site for the automated hits.
  6. Install what? You never answered the questions they asked you. You need to explain what you're doing before we can give any useful feedback...
  7. Why the hell does nobody read the remaining posts? We don't need 12 extra replys stating the exact same thing over and over... :wall:
  8. As long as it is made clear that the double underline green links (or whatever color is used) are not added by the posters, I don't really see what the problem is. Its also very obvious that its an ad when you go to click on the link due to the popup that appears. :?
  9. It would still be nice for donors to get a little recognition for what they've given to the site. Something simple such as a little star next to their name or just a small mark somewhere in the avatar area noting that they supported Tip.It with some money would be enough. Slashdot gets by with just using an asterisk. If people start spurting off that they're better than others because of a little donor mark, have the mods forward it to be removed from that user. It could even be added to the report system. The 'valued member' avatars could be made larger, somewhat like the size of the staff badges. Maybe half the height to prevent confusion and to fit some simple text into them. :-k
  10. Have you recently updated drivers or installed any new hardware? That would be the first place to start.
  11. I'm in the same boat as Nomar. Unless there is a major reason that you absolutely have to have WMP10, it isn't worth the trouble. Winamp, iTunes, Foobar2000 and others do the exact same thing without the headache.
  12. I'd argue otherwise but that isn't what we're here for. :P After everything else here, I'd say its time to call the ISP.
  13. It's rather hidden, but the entire list of bbcode installed here and what they do can be found here.
  14. That missing 8mb is being used by the integrated video. 8mb of video has no chance of running WoW. If it's adjustable up to 128mb, you might be able to, but it's doubtful.
  15. If you have a router, make sure you tested that it isn't causing the bottleneck. Plug directly into the modem (with a firewall on of course :P ) and run the speed test again. If it runs much faster, you have a bad router. After that's been done and you know for sure the router isn't the problem, most defiantly call the ISP.
  16. I think so, I don't remember where the thread went tho. :? kingmatty25: 1) Writing in large red text makes me want to smack you. Please change it back to normal so it's readable again... 2) Which option are you selecting when you try to start the laptop?
  17. He says nothing about internet speed. 54mbps is your maximum wireless G speed too, not the actually speed you get outside your LAN.
  18. I guess I forgot about that part. #-o
  19. The 5k+ ranks were brought up 2 months ago. Nothing came of it though.
  20. Which is relative to your CPU type/speed, OS and other background processes. You may be running a faster CPU, older version of windows that uses less RAM or less clutter in the background. XP with 256mb is on the low side, even if you happen to have RS running flawlessly. It may be usable, but a RAM upgrade can help things along quite a bit.
  21. Simple reasearch would have told you this... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=40 ... gle+Search
  22. A BSOD does not automatically mean incompatible memory. Windows throws a blue screen any time something completely crashes the system. The error code is what matters, not just assuming it's bad RAM because a blue screen was thrown.
  23. There is definitely a character stuck in front of the < in your doctype line. Doing a select all when viewing source in FireFox (which I didn't do last time :wall: ) grabs the hidden character and makes it shows up when I past into notepad++. Here is my edited page without the hidden character. It's just flat html and shows up correctly on my test box. I zipped it up so there's no chance of something getting missed in a copy/paste. :P Are you using something like Dreamweaver or Frontpage for your coding? Wondering how the weird hidden character got there. :-k Edit: The above file looks good in IE 6 and 7 but the gap still appears in FireFox. :-s
  24. What do you mean by 'paint file'? The actual paint program? An image? Need more info...
  25. IE shows a character stuck before your doctype line when viewing the source, though I can't seem to remove it using notepad++. There were also some unreadable characters along the top of the layout when I first loaded it in FireFox but these disappeared after a refresh, leaving just the blank gap. Looking at the mountain of tables used for the layout, it's gonna be a real pain in the [wagon] to debug for most people. :?
