  1. I could be wrong but I think there is *already* a surplus of most potions with sara brews, super restore and prayer pots as the only exceptions, imho. If tournaments become hugely popular though it could help as no doubt players will be using supers, range and mage pots to get an edge. :P
  2. One word: Mieli *runs away in fear* :ohnoes:
  3. :^o I am staying cool because I sold almost everything of value except some rares. Lower prices will actually help me a lot because I will probably be more of a buyer than a seller for a long time. ;) It should basically even out most of the time, I mean if ores drop in price, miners are out of it but then smithers gain, unless smited items also drop in price (I think they will). However prices won't drop *that* low. Like, one time when shark fell to ...ok I forgot what price...but so low that fishers simply stopped fishing shark because it wasn't worth it. Then because of the scarcity of supply, the price rose enough that people started fishing it again. :) I know because I am 90 fishing. :D That's how it works. I also have my fingers crossed that Exchange House will let Jagex track down rl traders better so that even if prices drop, it will only be because of legit players and not farmers flooding the market.
  4. Well I think prices will go down but this won't affect players that much since although they will sell their materials at lower prices...they can also buy materials at lower prices. :) Potions are just about due for a drop in price. Many herblore makers are sitting on supplies that they don't use but can't be bothered to sell as it is too much effort. The same goes for other skills, especially crafting and smithing. Sometimes for clues people are desperately looking for random crafted/smithed items which nobody is selling, exchange house will make this type of trading much, much easier. Clue rewards will be much easier to sell but the good ones are really quite rare so I don't think they will go down too much as they are in demand.
  5. Well my list was just a list of my own personal favorite pkers that aren't often mentioned. I don't think anyone can really say who is the best pker ever because they would have had to observe every pker in RS since it started which is impossible. :P On the other hand, I think for overall best pker I would prefer someone who played for a long time, rather than someone who pked at the beginning of RS then quit. I like to give credit to the pkers who stayed through all the good and bad changes to the pk system and managed to master (or at least adapt not too badly) to each one.
  6. RSD is a better clan than MI for several things like size, community, longevity, history, etc. etc. I know because I was in RSD myself. In fact, I was one of the first members Livin recruited before the clan was even officialy formed under his leadership. :D I quit the clan then one month later MI was formed and I joined that one, also as one of the first members before we officially announced our existence. MI was the better pking clan though RSD was the better "overall" clan. I don't think anyone needs to be offended by that. They are simply two different things, like apples and oranges.
  7. Well now even if you factor that in, that's just marginal difference to the economy. Is selling price dropping "really so bad?" People should avoid fishing/ fletching if you plan on selling them, seriously get over it- there are many ways to make gp w/o worrying price drops. I see that in the field of logic, you fight unarmed. If price drops don't matter, then price increases don't matter either. If there are many ways to make gp without worrying about price drops then there are, conversely, many ways of making go without worrying about price increases. If people should avoid skills like fishing/fletching..well there goes mining/crafting/smithing/runecrafting... and every other skill. I should really stop replying to posts like yours which make no sense.
  8. And the legit sellers, including myself were happy. Autoers are the reason even noobs don't rescpe the fletching skill cape. If prices rose, then players would get more kudos for getting high fletching. It's really a win-win for all legit players.
  9. Nicely written and I agree with all points. I wrote a reply on another thread that was similar, especially the part about the people who always cry that the market is going to crash. People always say that but it never happens. :wall: I do predict two things: bugs and scammers. Price manipulation will also be more of a threat since more people will use the GE than the forums.
  10. He said he was. I wouldn't know for sure I was never friends with any of those chars.
  11. Hey Fook I remember some of those, especially Janneperkele. Never fought him but he taught me a few things back when I was a newb. IIRC he quit before p2p. Then I saw him again later but he didn't remember me. :( Too bad. Sunjon used to give me a lot of trouble, too. I was way too low for him to attack on Sunjon but he had his range pure, Killa Priest that was hugely annoying! He never managed to kill me though.
  12. What is nerdy and annoying is when: - They want me to go to world 2, when it's full. - They aren't in bank and ask me to go to some weird place liek Slayer Cave/Castle/Bandits/etc. Now that is just rude. I don't care if its thier world their place as long as its an easy bank tele that's not on a full world. I don't care how big the trade is, I won't continuously try to log onto world 2 for 100 mil.
  13. No, Ad, he was pretty famous for pking people higher level than him. Right before he got banned the Tip It forums were full of his high level kills. He figured out catching earlier than most and some of the people on your list could not catch when he could already catch people to death. I'm not gonna mention their names hehehe it might annoy them. Matt was also massively impure (like what I said about Dmx) and you know how good that is in p2p. Hard to believe nowadays maybe but right at the start of p2p a lot of pkers couldn't afford to pk with bloods all day, they were so rare before theiving but was more than willing to Matt spend a fortune on pking. At the stripey bank everyday I used to see famous high level people he'd just run off from pirates. As for picking on lower levels, I am also guilty but for f2p it's difficult to find people the same level as me. :? Hmm actually after a certain period, there were less than 30 people higher level than me, probably half of them were my friends anyway. On the other hand, there were masses of lower levels. Noobs could never understand really that I was out for a kill, not to prove myself. I'd go and see Max (or whoever) pking and I'd grab one of the random lower levels skulled there. They almost always yelled "omg why attack a level 80 when there's a level 115 here!" or "fight someone your own level." Or the opposite - I'd be training and like a high level pk team would go and chase a level 70 instead of me. Agreed. I personally don't care though. I think it's because unlike almost all the pkers I know, I am female so I've never felt the need to prove that I'm a bigger man than another player.
  14. Er you aren't referring to my post are you? :-k
  15. Hey Ad and Tim nice lists. I don't really list the best pkers since there are so many good ones. Also, I actually pked more back when I was pureish (prayer). Some people not included so far: Datrupimp, Trupimp, Da Pimp69, Playa187, basically the whole pimp clan. ;) They were the first high level pures and Datru could actually catch when it was still a poorly understood skill. In fact the first time I saw him, he was leading the whole clan (whom I had previously heard of since they were famous in RS then). Of course, I thought I was dead for sure when he 3 hit someone 2 squares in front of me. Oooh so scary...then he was laughing and just said "did you see me catch him 3 times in a row?" Mooncricket - one of the most feared high level pkers. Chad (Who Da Best) used to pm me "hey come to my server Mooncricket is pking in yours Dirtydevil - what on earth can I say here? He was like the guy the lil pkers looked up to. Yedija, Polomeros and Red1010 - Yedija (Oldmanschid) and Polo knew each other irl and Red was Polo's gf. A good team. Back then Yed had some sort of rivalry going on with other high levels and watching them fight was very entertaining. Lightning, Phillip, Ladykilljoy, Sandytrain and the Wanderers - for a very long time they were *the* force to be reckoned with in the wilderness. Brotherhood of Steel - if Fook A Ji still had his pic of him being pked in bk maze by dozens of BoS members it could show you how effective they were. This was what other clans like Exer wish they could be. Who Da Best - back when he still had this char he was the 3rd top fighter in Rs. We were close and used to train together everyday. A lot of crazy stuff used to happen then. Everyday was fun. ;) He would kill one well-known person and then people would start coming to iceys in 2s and 3s. Half of the the top 50 fighters would be there just killing ice warriors, then the person he killed would come back and everyone would be trying to kill him. Although he couldn't catch (neither could 90% of pkers) he was so high level that he got a lot of kills. I was his newbie bait when I was pureish although unintentionally. People would just see him with me, think "oh he is not pking because he hasn't killed the noob" and try to say hi. Or they would try to "help" him but killing the newb (me). I used to pk whole (noob) clans for him there. Dmxkobe8 - he is here because I have seen him catch consistently back when catching was so rare. Yeah, people ran straight south so it was easy but still he was a better pker than most people higher than him. He was also a pioneer of high level magic pking (with Puffffin who he got to 99 magic). At one time he was the most impure char in RS with 20 (?might have been 19 but anyway he had the highest combined magic+prayer) impure levels. Fked, Wargazme, Sir Wout - they all knew each other irl and pked together. They had many rivalries, for example with the Pimps and Angel2002/I Wicked I and Uriel. They all trained in the wildy and were constantly pking. Kinda like what Ad said about being able to "hold" the best server at pirates, they could hold two servers whenever they were on...considering there were less than 10 p2p servers! Zonghui, LKJ, Greg and Fked were the first to 99 hps and all trained in the wilderness. Gregechidna6- he barely stepped foot outside the wilderness and was one of the best pkers during his time. A legend, in other words. Special mention: Thehate!!!! Omg he is the Meilikiller of Rs. He killed me so many times at the BK maze with ranged by standing at that special place outside when I was a low level pure with low def and no prayer that I stopped training there and got prayer+def. :P P.S. He had a girl char.
  16. Mmm maybe. I would want an epic storyline though. I bet the quest-lovers would like one, too. I just wish they would! Exactly! It's pretty bad for me because I am already maxed on all melee stats so I need something to do. :ohnoes: I'm not sure what you mean? They are releasing tournaments. BTW I hope there wil be 3 separate tournaments for range, melee and mage.
  17. I'd so join Zamorak side! Thanks. Oh sure I mean for example you have to go to cw to join it, so for the event it should be the same. I'd like it if they had a real tough boss where you need 50+ people to kill it. That would be so sweet. Before anyone says "lag would kill it" I have been in clan wars that had hundreds of people in it. There would be lag but not too much lag.
  18. :D Well the Falador idea isn't set in stone...it could be a new place. Actually the whole point of the event would be disrupt things and create chaos, otherwise what's the difference between it and the regular quests? Events are supposed to *affect* the players. It make things more exciting. As for the economy crashing, the economy according to some could be crashing every single week. Herb update supposedly caused the herb market to crash, store update cause rune/feathers/vials/buyable items market to crash, mass removal of bots caused fletching market to crash, zmi altar caused the rune prices to crash...ok you get the idea. Seriously though, I really don't think it would crash anything. By your reasoning the tournaments would also cause the econmy to crash because everyone will be doing tournaments and no one will be fishing, cooking or doing other skills. I confidently predict that the tournaments will *not* cause the economy to crash... there are simply a lot of skillers who are not too interested in combat related activities. The economy is much more resilient than that.
  19. This might sound crazy but what I am hoping for the big January update is not a new skill, area or quest but rather the first Runescape EVENT. It probably won't be the update but I hope it is. What do I mean by event? A plot or story that affects players all over RS and is affected by RS players. Examples: - A sorcerer accidentally summons Iban and he forms an army of goblins, demons and dragons to invade Falador. Players can either enlist in his army or defend the city with the White Knights. Depending on which side wins (after 30 days or some deadline), Falador could be saved or destroyed. - The four gods are each trying to claim a new island that has arisen from the sea. To prevent the destruction of the island if they battle there, they agree to have their human followers fight it out. The winners get to vote on the content of the island (from choices given by Jagex). Etc. What do you think?

Hmm, pepsi's irl name wouldn't happen to be Tina would it? Keeler is that you?
  21. Oh hiya! I can't believe you remembered me and even my level, thanks. :) LOL you didn't put in Sue Me and I met you through him. I still play Rs but it's just a habit nowadays. Back then it was really fun when we all knew each other and had lots of friends and enemies. Nice to hear you are doing well. Cute pic. Psst, try apealing your ban even if it's perm. My friend got unbanned recently and he was perm banned for autocatching. Even if you don't play you could give away your stuff *coigh* or keep it for the memories.
  22. Fishing guild begging has lessened thank goodness. I think it's because people don't cook there. I hope Jagex fixes the loopholes soon.
  23. Um excvept my friend who was banned for macroing in RS1 has recently been unbanned. He didn't simply macro skills, he autocaught and actively deprived others of their items. \
  24. He's back now, just saw him on two days in a row. I guess he is just too busy to play much.
  25. He had a new girlfriend every month.
