My mom always gets panicked by those alerts and yells at me "hey your computer has a virus what do I do!" Then I have to yell at her *not* to click anything. Most people know its fake but some do get victimized by those popups.

Why? Prayer can already be regenerated without spending any gp, all you have to do is use the lumby home free teleport and you can charge it at the altar there. I can't believe people are that lazy.

'Shocking' to see, so many players here agree on selling for lowest price... Surprise, surprise what it will do to marketprices of many items.. Probably those same players will rant about destroyed markets in a few weeks... Well, as I have said since *before* the GE update, prices will drop because someone will always want to sell faster, which causes others to sell even lower, etc. etc. until the price reaches the absolute bottom price where people simply refuse to sell because its too low. Also, although prices have dropped and people have to sell for lower prices...they also buy for lower prices. :D

+1. He does know what's going on unlikes otheres who just say "Get Use To It!! It's Jagex's Game. You Noob. Crybaby. Etc." I'm getting really sick of all the lil babies on Tip It kissing up to Jagex while flaming anyone who disagrees with them in slightest. IMHO whiners whining about whiners need to get a grip on their life and look at themselves in the mirror to see how ridiculous they are. What's next? Nah, statute of limitations only holds for some crimes, not all of them. If a guy scams 40m gp off a player 1 year ago, he should still be perm banned. Same with hacking, autoing, advertising scam sites, or buying/selling irl. If a player scammed 12 months ago, he probably only stopped because he felt he already got enough through scams. :roll:

This is very cool for f2p but won't really help me as Ihave irregular amounts of armor that are not matching. Hmmm I could sell the extras, I guess. Either way, nice! :D

Thieving old-style (not pyramid plunder) should still be good. Thieve some cakes at stall then do paladins for gp and chaos runes. You'll end up with a ton of runes and geepees.

Oh my goodness, I just realized I can't sell notes to general stores then buy them back cheaply like before. Unnoting in gen stores is dead! :shock: Ah! How to do barrows now?

Yes, this is a minor casualty of the GE. I like to buy items from the general stores, too. Noobs sell their gems there a lot!

Hmmm I believe th armor sets below addy are buyable in shop anyway. Only addy and above needs to be player smithed (some items only while some are in shops) so I think alching will still be more popular than selling through GE.

Not bad, but as other people have said, I would prefer a more timely and interesting article on the drastic changes that Rs has gone through because of the last few updates.

I haven't been to green drags, I might check it out but I have been busy. I did wonder at the price drop as i also bought at 1.7k-1.8k ea some time ago.

That is what I said would happen. People want to sell fast, otherwise what is the point of having GE? If they wanted slow trading, they would do it through player to player trades. This is also how it is on other games, you can barely sell things unless it is the bottom price (if they use automated systems like GE) since the system or the player will of course search out the lowest price first. Eventually things will reach their absolute bottom price where people will simply refuse to sell because it is too low but until then most common materials will be going down, IMHO.

You are correct, there is no browsing possible. You can place a sell offer or you can place a buy offer. And the system will match the offers and make the transaction. This is going to be a big problem.. at least at first and perhaps beyond that. Suppose I offer to sell a widget at 10k and someone else offers to buy at 9k. We might both be willing to compromise at 9.5k but right now neither of us can find out that the other even exists. Yep, would be nice if there was haggling allowed. It seems everything is automated so you cannot be in contact with other players through the exchange.

How so? Iron ores are 100 gp and that is what I have been buying it for from players.

Yes, that would work. Also, people in your lootshare group. However, I think this makes things somewhat touger so it's good. I am not opposed to this update but I can see how it might be annoying for some.

Nah, merchanting will not die but GE will potentially eliminate a lot of scams or at least allow Jagex to track scams better.
