3 days, around 8k tokens or thereabouts. It took forever to get a bronze one, same with iron and up to addy it was difficult. Only rune was relatively easy.

They could do a pure ess/rune ess thing with logs. It would be messy for sure. Then farmers would auto mining...then Jagex would change fishing...farmers/autoers will move on to fishing....and so on until every f2p skill is ruined. :shock: That's the worst case scenario only.

Thieving has been there are long as Ardougne has, in other words since the early days of p2p during RSC. 2003, I believe. The reason why it sucks today is because everything in RS2 is easier to get compared to Rs2. Back before Rs2 was released there was no Runecrafting so runes could only be taken from rune shops (very limited), npc drops (they increased the drops for RS2 because the Rs1 drops were rare and few) and guess what...omg thieving. High level thieving used to be extremely profitable. It was the RC of Rs1. Now who are the richest skillers in RS2? The rc'ers. :roll:

Drop trades...but only if you trusted the other person. Hmm yes stakers don't generate gp but they do accumulate it. Buying rares requires the accumulation of wealth so they used to be a prime market/buyers for rares but now they are gone. I suppose skillers and collectors will have to buy rares now. Prices will drop over the short term but historically they will go up, depending on other factors. I think when skill capes were introduced many people sold their phats but prices go down, people will spare gp snap up the cheaper rares so in the end it will still go up.

lol, members subscriptions? why do you play if you think jagex is soo evil/greedy. Personally, i think since this skill has essentially been talked and worked on for around 4 years, there really is no point talking about 'subscriptions'. If jagex wanted subscriptions they wouldve made a high reward cheesy update that was members only. This is just a long awaited update. GJ jageX I never said Jagex is evil, nor do I hate them. They themselves said the reason they have updates every week and new skills is to get more members. I don't expect them to spend their own money to run RS. I am guessing a lot of players quit members on their stakers, even though they probably kep their mains. This is just Jagex's way of getting more subscribers as they have previously stated that they have an upsurge in signups whenever a new skill is released.

Back on topic, I saw people trying to buy santas for 11 mil but no one was selling. People are madly trying to snatch up ultra-cheap rares but no one is selling for 50% the price before the duel update. What greed? If someone has 1,000,000,000 gp in the game completely legitimately, is that greed? So people who use/sell/buy/own rares are playing the greed-oriented aspect of the game? Most of the kills in RS is all about the accumulation of items like gp, logs, ores, runes, armor, weapons, etc. Not exactly. 10 mil back then was worth much more than it was now. You can't compare it to today when everything is so much easier and there is no overcrowding or lack of training/gathering spots. Not at all. A person playing nowadays has it very, very easy compared to what older players have been through. You can't really appreciate this fact unless you were high level in RS1. Fletching, for example, was a money-losing skill if you bought the materials and there was no fletch x. Remember when trading was by 12s and there were no bank notes? :P If you were wealthy when phats were cheap then it wasn't easy to be wealthy back then. I've sold a total of 3 santa hats in my whole RS playing. Sorry if I was greedy to get 30m gps. Even though it took that much to level to 115 (99 str and att, 95 hp) in RS1 4 years ago. I haven't even mentioned my other skills.

I was slightly worried when I lent some things to friends worth a few mil and ended up just giving it to them. I'm not banned though so I doubt there is much to fear.

Oh dear oh dear... Does this mean they are going to ruin trading by putting a price cap on what and how you trade each day? Ow, I am beginning to fear the Grand Exchange update.
