Why not? If someone does something good then you praise them. If they do something bad then you complain. I don't see why you need to only do one thing all the time. :P

I played RS for far too long before skill capes for me to be in any way affected by it. In fact I already had multiple 99's before Rs2 was even released. A little piece of cloth hasn't changed my gameplay.

Well before I even say anything else, I would like to state that Tip It is and always has been my favorite fan site and forums. Way back when it was the very first RS fan site, Tip It was the only resource for information. All the cool players posted here! Obviously I joined up as soon as I heard of Tip It and I haven't left the forums, ever. I do note a certain lack of... robustness. Topis and posts just aren't lively or interesting anymore. I don't blame it on the moderators or "Tip IT fascists" as critics refer to them but the forums have become a bit boring nowadays. :? However, the forums are *our* forums. If we want them to improve we have to make our own topics and posts more interesting, that's all there is to it. My personal hypothesis is that Tip It has become boring because RS itself has become boring. :P No recent "big events" that get people really excited.

It does seem to me that growth in terms of the number of players online has been increasing slowly. I don't play during peak times but during off-peak the number of people playing seems to be slightly higher now than a half a year ago. Some servers can be really empty so growth is not really "explosive" or greatly increased.

I didn't cut yews but I did pass by and I was also shocked by the absence of bots. Great stuff! Rs is so nice without bots and wc is one of my fave skills. This is how it *should* be!

I wish there was an equivalent melee skill that froze people in place, gave health and 30s. People also don't seem to realize that magic is cheaper to use than godsword or that hybrid magic is the most popular of the 3 pk styles.

Yeah, because I deliberately posted three times for no reason. Forum lag and errors Duh? When you talk to these people you have to have a conversation with them because then they start giving reasons and more unsolicted advice. You do realize theiving isn't fishing? I have to click all the time to thieve and I do not have time to chat with annoying people. This is the exact attitude that makes people annoyed. You don't own me. You can't tell me what to do or what to call annoying people. I don't want random "tips" about what I could be doing when I am obviously already doing something else. So? the sceptre is rare. Just because people can't identify a random rare object doesn't mean they know little about the game. Also, I never had any high levels saying that. Ever. If you are running around telling players about PP then you are a noob. It's not news. I never said anything about lower levels my complaint was about people telling others " go do pp its better than what you are doing now."

Pretty much sums up my feelings. If we don't ask for advice, we don't want any. I trained on Knights because I found it easier. Just leave us the hell alone unless we ask for advice. I agree. I'm level 122 and when I train thieving on *anything* some noob is always sure to come up and tell me about Pyramid Plunder. Like it's supposed to be a big secret or news to me. Nothing shuts these people up even when they can see I wear bunny ears or even when I tell them I'm level 91 thieving with roughly 10x times their exp (most of the time).

You can't buy 99 fishing! You can buy feathers for 99 fishing but that is not the same as actually getting 99 fishing. P.S. I am 89 fishing and did it mostly on profitable ways only - lobs, tunas, swordies and sharks. I am pretty sure most people fish for profit and not for exp.

Uh right... that's your opinion only. 79 is not high level. If you don't want to die then stay inside the room until the high level is killed. Or don't play CW because dying is a part of the game. If you target the lower levels you get an enormous kill count at the end, something like 50+ whereas if you target higher level people (p.s. higher level is at least 110) then you get very few, if any. I think it's fun to kill people. Why should you be exempt because you are lower level? No reason except in your head. Also, I personally *always* go for the lowest level person available because they are the ones who annoy me everyday in Rs with begging, scamming, spamming chat, etc. It is also impossible to actually pk them since wildy doesn't go up to level 126. :( Lower levels do that a LOT more.

Uh to the replies...if someone says "lol' it normally just pushed on the discussion because it's saying you find the comments funny and therefore they don't need to stop.

I also get a lot of black demons tasks from Duradel but I don't know if that has changed as previously i was using the slayer master under edge.

thanks for explaining it :) sorry to anyone if i sounded rude before True but I hope you will agree that the word "pure" with the word "rune" in front of it would imply a melee pure with 40 def. In fact the word "pure" without qualifications in front of it always refers to a melee pure and other special types of pures always have a description. For example, mage pures are called "mage pures" and not just "pures." This is simply to avoid confusion back in the day. I loved the pics Hohto.

Ceblue, hmm nice. You are so lucky! I always get maze when I am tele'ing to trade somewhere. Apparently if you stand around chatting or waiting in bank then try to tele you get a random. Happens to me everytime. :-k

EDIT: Oh and TotalyNectar was first maxed 30 Defense Pure. I don't know about 1(Because I'm not sure if it was Krazyfaken) or 20, although I do know of a few. I'll ask around. By maxed we mean range mage att and str, if it was just attack and strength then volcanic fox was first by years. 3 hit u says he was first to max as those things and he was, no one had 99 att str range and mage at those def lvls before him. Again though if it was just att and str a few people were 99 99 40 in classic. I'm sorry are we talkign RS2 rune pure now? 99 mage automatically makes you impure so 99 mage rune pure is an oxymoron...heck even 5 mage makes you impure. So, RS2-style pure is what you mean not "real" pure?

She isn't that rich anymore, according to herself. :P When she came back in RS2 she sold several of her crackers... I was one of the buyers - although it somewhat disturbed me she only wanted to sell them for masses of materials, like she did with her runite items back in the days. ;) Aha so she did keep them! Yeah I remember she collected them when they weren't even worth that much. My friends tried to get me to sell mine so that they could trade with Bluerose but I wouldn't sell. ;) I agree. I used to know a few who still had mass amounts of santas and masks along with some phats and crackers but they have since sold or did rl trading. Most don't want to be well known as famous. ;)

Am I the only one who remembers when Bluerose traded her services for party hats and other rares because she was collecting them? I'm pretty sure she has tons unless she dropped them later (for bank space).

Impures resent the pures and therefore created this myth about how all pures are bad. :roll: That's all there is to it really. Impures can be as much or even *more* abusive and arrogant than pures. :twisted:

On the other hand what if you don't even care for exp and you only runecraft for the runes? Not everyone is out to level rc, some like myself only do it to level magic. Which method is best for nats and laws?

I thought Zonghui was the first to get 99 str. Hard to tell for sure though since in those days str wasn't in hiscores.
