  1. That's why I never merchant. If I need to buy or sell anything I get or sell it to my friends. If I can't find one who has/wants it then I read the forums. Join a big clan and merchant it to them, that's my suggestion. ;)
  2. its true, it really was good. but ithnk i know why hehe . talking with ur friends u sometimes had to pass on messages to others, so u had to write i.e to who da best "tell meili i'm out of toilet paper" . now that is all good and well. but i'd end up writing to u "i'm out of toilet paper" or get the annoying "player is not online" . which 9 out of 10 times was the case :P oh , and i bet the char named "HIM" got random messages all the time \ \ \ *hands him some toilet paper* Yeah I always mistelled "him" but he was never online anyway. :P
  3. Yeah I know Sue never clicked trained. We trained together for ages. He wouldn't have gotten high level so fast if I hadn't encouraged him to, or so he said. Actually, I don't recall it being particularly hard to "hold" pirates, at least for myself. I know it would be impossible for noobs but when you are the appropriate level to be scary then you don't need to exert *that* much effort. Well, if you were really unpopular then I guess you couldn't hold it but otherwise... *shrugs* mostly people just looked at your level and didn't attack. The only time it was really hard was when there were 3 or so p2p servers. Then only Ladykilljoy, Gregechidna6, I Wicked I and Fkd would be there all the time because there was no room for others. ;) No way! I thought you were way too lazy to click train and you were always afking lol. We must have been too busy chatting whenever I saw you. :P *tries to imagine Tru click training for hours and hours but fails* How were you click training when we were on msn? :P
  4. When you still can't figure out why they removed the tell command.
  5. It takes a really hardcore player to click train all the time! I never click trained at pirates because I was almost constantly being attacked anyway. The 0.3 second wait sometimes when I've 1 hit all the spawn isn't that long really. Tru - I don't recall seeing you click train either. As for Adx... wow, you must be the Zezima of training if you click trained at pirates for hours at a time. I doubt Sue would click that much either. I never counted the exp per hour since I prefer the more relaxed approach. Often, I'd even invite people in to train with me. Time passes more pleasantly that way. ;) The trick is to have one person at the two chests south and one person north nearer to the half pies for near maximum shared exp for both. Many couples used to train side by side at the two chests though. Modsimon and Ladykilljoy used to train there hahaha. I'd train there even with noobs when none of my friends were on for training. Noobs aren't good company most of the time though. Sad, but true. I remember one time there was this low level pure (Da Str Tep) I trained with at axes once that I thought was really cool - he was the only noob I ever talked to that wasn't "nooby." Of course, then my excitement at finally meeting a "good" noob was crushed when he told me he was Tepence (old school guy). LOL. Good times.
  6. meilie is wdb's trick \ Huh? I can't because I have seen your char on the way Adx1 said. Whoever it was, he said Pure Plev was banned but he still had Plev. Then later I think I heard Plev was also banned. So you are on Plev but not Pure Plev? I kinda play now and then but nothing regular. I just have lil chats with WDB and whoever else is on at the time. A suprising amount of older chars are still playing.
  7. Well after RS2 came out your whole bank was automatically transferred to RS2 and your RS1 bank was completely empty. So Jagex had a 1 -week (or 2 weeks? I forget the exact time) offer where you could put back your bank to RS1. Which I did. I was playing RS1 for a year after RS2 came out so at the time it made sense. Now RS1 is p2p only so I can't access it anymore. *sigh* That's what I would change if I could go back in time for one day, I'd keep it all on RS2.
  8. Who Da Best and Sir Beachy still play. They both passed me on their current chars and I'm 121. Did you ever get Plev or Pure Plev back? Remember Wargazeme?
  9. I would go back in time and NOT put my rares in RS1 instead of RS2. *mourns for all the unused phats, santas, masks, pumpkins and easter eggs in RS1*
  10. I have no recollection of an archer dogi. But damn, that does remind me of somebody else who had "dog" in their name, I just can't remember who it was. Might have been a fighter, not a ranger. But I do fuzzily remember a "dog" ranger. Heh, maybe it was archer dogi, I didn't know everybody. But yeah, lots of people ranged lessers in Karamja. I know I did, it was great fun. The very first day in July you could get rune meds from them, people were swarming around to fight them. And kill stealing was rampant. The mods actually did something about it... they would actually teleport you out of the demon area, or even strip runes/arrows out of your inventory if you were kill stealing. I always hated the idea of them doing that. You saw a lot more of the mods back then. (Actually, I think it was only Rab back then.) Fightin Dog. He was actually 2nd for the longest time but there was a huge gap between him and Kobii. I remember Fightin Dog in particular because he actually pks - I had an encounter with him and was quite surpised that I was close to dying at every round with him and his meleer partner (a famous pure whose name I can't recall atm). I was pure at the time (40-50s, IIRC) as well so I wasn't used to losing. When I had run back to Edge, Sue Me was like "you know, that guy is the second best ranger in RS!" I was quite impressed. ;) Are you Kdog? Hey whatever happened to Soul Steal and is his account still active/not banned? P.S. I bumped this up m the second page. Sorry, but I think not many post here anyway so I hope it's alright.
  11. It was smaller, that's all. I mean I used to see the same people all the time. When I pked someone the next day it would be "oh yeah Meili, I'd sell you the runes cheap but you pked me!" Things that you did had an effect on the game. Nowadays you are one tiny grain of sand in the beach. No one notices you at all.
  12. Well high levels are poor because they spend a lot on items to level instead of hoarding it. Merchants are the rich ones and since I don't merchant I am very poor. *sniff* Played since 2001 and the most in gp I have had is hmm 3 mil or so. It never lasts as gp because there's always more runes, pots, food, herbs, etc. to buy. Current: 1.3 mil Most ever: Around 3 mil approx. That's in gp, though. In terms of total wealth I have more. ;)
  13. Mine private chat is always on. ;) Except when I get bothersome pm's which is really very rare. :D When it's just one person being annoying, I just put them on ignore.
  14. Hi plev! Wow that brought back too many memories. I knew Polomeros as well but I was more friendly with OMC whom he was with a lot back then. RL friends, IIRC.
  15. Same as what happened when God Staffs were first brought out.. You could cnotinually cast charge at no rune expense.. Only shame was i was already 99 magic and Me n Sue were having too much fun playing with the staffs and range pots O:) Until of course Alq and Snake realised what was going on hahaha.. T'was a fun day til i realised p2p pking had just been ruined. Was that the same time you realized damage was ranged-based? Must have been fun for Sue and especially Snake Slava. f u meili u didnt say fun for jakiss :( i also got a [cabbage] load of kills when that staff was bugged was fun :D I missed it! Nooo! Oh well, I think at the time I had level 30 range anyway. *shrugs* Wouldn't have worked for me at all. Now, if it had been str based... *evil laugh*
  16. No wonder I have the strange feeling that my IQ went down by several points. I will go back to mining.
  17. Probably, I tend to be a friendly person.
  18. A player messaged me saying he was xcav but I was not onlien long enough to have a good talk with him. He might be back though. It's cool when old players come back btu I notice they are often back for like 2 weeks then quit again.
  19. Exactly. I often like to throw random parties at my house, and just grab a few people from around for a bit of good times. It's these bug abusers that spoil it for people like me who just want to have some fun in their POH. After the money you dump into it, you want to enjoy it. Jagex have to fix this. I'd happily have one of our weekly updates substituted with a bugfix update, just tying up all these bugs. *sigh* Yes, things like this make me paranoid 100x. I probably won't be able to enjoy another party in someone's PoH anymore, which is a pity because I love to dress up.
  20. Yeah..thanks... I hope you are not implying that *I* sent the email (whatever it was).
  21. Maplestory and other Asian-based games. Nice posts Duke and Nadril. I just stand by my view that RMT is not inherently evil. It gives game developers a good alternative to traditional subscription-based MMORPGs. Besides the whole RMT (as in buying in game gold/money) is based on a heavily item/wealth oriented game... er in other words games like RS. This is not necessarily true in other games though. Plus, the casual player has no need for "enormous wealth" anyway as most games are structured so that you are well able to get as much as you need for your level. For example, I am playing as a lvl 29 paladin in an MMORPG - what would I do with 10 million gold? My armor can be bought for 20,000! At each level armor prices go up but the drops from mobs also become more/better, allowing you to gather as much gold as you need anyway. Buying higher level armor in advance won't help because my char doesn't have the level to wear it. There's nothing a low/mid level player can do with RMT in that kind of game. Hmm in conclusion, RMT only harms if - the game was nto designed for RMT - the game is heavily dependent on wealth (rather than levels)
  22. It's sad that such bugs exist and that even high level players abuse it. Now people can't even innocently party in their POHs without being paranoid. :wall: Thanks for the heads up, and when is Jagex going to fix all the bugs?
  23. Who says that would happen? We are talking about RMT, not poor game design. A game designed with RMT integrated wouldn't necessarily be crap or *require* RMT by everyone. :? So? RMT is not just buying in game cash. Are you saying just because in game cash should not be bought for rl cash, then RMT is completely out of the question? I don't think so at all. In game cash is just *one* thing you could buy for rl cash. There are other things like POHs, in game land, character appearance changes, etc. Absolutely, I agree with that. Game devs just need to wake up and smell the possibilities and make good games that take into account RMT in a positive way.
  24. Yeah because kids are worse than plague. True, the rest of us are just scammers, beggars, sex maniacs, or worse, kids!
  25. Yeah we can tell it was your first p2p pk because of the next thing: Because a real man does not eat when low, not even in p2p where specials can KO from full. *nods*
