    Moving Out?

I didn't catch YOUR age. You state to be an adult (which is 18+ where I live), yet your parents decide your carreer? Talk to them. Make them understand that you are the one who is supposed to decide. What's so cool about the air force anyway? As for your sister: There are banks for a reason. Keep you wallet on you, assuming she will not assault you for it, and the rest secure in the bank. While you are talking to your parents about the carreer thing, bring this subject on as well. One would assume that your parents are able to work something out. Moving out at young age (-20) just to be away from your parents/sister may not be the best choice, esopecially with your income. Moving out to college or so is a different matter of course. Living independent is costly.
  2. If you have al least 1 set of book shelves in your POH, you can dismiss al of the quest related books. You can easily reclaim them in your house. Beads of the dead cannot be re-obtained, so keep those (if you want). I'm not sure you can get the bull roarer (legends quest) back after the quest.
  3. Most people will say it is not. Especially for training (which you won't do on very high leveled monsters) you don't really need the defence it provides, and the defender offers offence. For some slayer tasks it can be handy (higher level monsters which require defence), and of course when you are hunting dragons. There are also some GWD setups in which it is favorable, but I'm no expert on that. But I like it, though I rarely use it
  4. 91% of people in the US have health care; I don't have a degree in economics but that hardly seems like middle rich and up.(not to say 91% have great coverage or that improvements can't be made). Also, a good proportion of people that are the uninsured are eligible for existing coverage but don't sign up for whatever reason(lack of info is something that could be fixed here). I mean DECENT health care. When I see documentaries about health care in the US, I see the people get bancrupted by a surgery. I'm aware of the fact that these cases are the most severe onse, but still. A friend of mine who drove a car in LA did not insure it, because it was too expensive, like $500 a month (which is outrageous), but if he were to cause an accident, he could be bancrupted instantly (especially with american sewing practises). This is sad. So what? I'd love to spend so-called "Capital tax" in my country. You onlt have to pay it when you own over 50k euro or so(savings stc.). I'm sad I don't have to pay taxes like that...
  5. The only really helpfull text in this thread. Not dismissing all other people by all means, but this is the only action you should take. Of course, you need to accept yourself the way you are, before you can expect the same from others. When you tell your parents, be prepared to see them shocked. It's THEM who need to get over it, not you.
  6. Well.... prayer >70 last longer (obviously), makes prayer pots more valuable (as they restore a % of prayer points) and of course, 99 prayer gives you the opportunity to buy a very schmexy cape! Is it WORTH it? Well, that's up to YOU to decide. Of course, you can ask youself the same question for ALL buyable skills, as the majority of skills have litte to offer >80 or so.
  7. Get bandos and 90 prayer. Use the Bandos to make money for the remaining levels. I like bandos, but there are armours that give better defence bonusses. Bandos is expensive, and not always better then armour you might already have. But it looks cool!!
  8. Well, changing just to get a team might be a little un-efficient. Maybe on the RSOF you could find someone to team up with. On the other hand, most slayer mosters have people there allready, you could chat with these people. For example, Aquanites and abyssal demons always have people there.
  9. WGS! the reason for this is that the quest is epic, AND you need to complete nearly all other quests as a requirement. RFD is along similar lines, and had a great reward as well; the best gloves in the game!
  10. Well, kalphites are not very well co-optable, as most people prefer to cannon them. Also, a lot of people block them as they are not very good exp and have poor drops. I like your idea, though.
  11. Ugh...I misread. Isn't he in Jard Y Dooku 's (fully completed) monster examine guide?
  12. I think you answered you own question. I guess he is located in the runecrfting guild. Which is in the wizzard tower south of Draynor.
  13. lol...I have the same one. I have a phone that I can actually use to call someone. Text too. That's it!
  14. Even air-powered pistols are forbidden here... Paintball guns re only allowed in the paintball arena... I'd like to visit some range and shoot a FIREARM sometimes.
  15. Get 99 range with the chins, I'd say. Nice to have another 99, that you provided for yourself, it must be really satifying. If you have some chins left over, sell them to buy supplies/armour for the next skill you'd like to train. Good luck and grats on 99 hunter. *looks jealously at measly own 68 hunter*
  16. I like the SS there, but it is a personal preference. I don't know wether it is confirmed that tyey are weak to crush.
  17. I'm a christian, but I think it is ok. I'm the "interpret the bible in your own way" Christian. I (unlike other belief-fundamentalists) think for myself. "Our" God is one of love, and that is what sexuality (in all its forms) is all about. God is supposed to love everybody. The bible is an ancient book, some stuff might be lost in translation, and it shouldn't be taken literally. IMO, it's a book full of metaphors, and guidelines (not rules) on how to live "properly". That being said, I still find it awkward when I see 2 guys making out. I can't help it. And, along the same line, I'm quite the hypocrit just like Das. But then again, there's a lot of hypocrisy in Catholicism, so that fits
  18. I would laugh about figures here if it weren't so sad. Paying $500-$600 a MONTH? I pay that for half a year. Sure, there are some (minor) issues, but it is still pretty cheap. Here, you have a mandatory (basic) health care insurance (less then $100 a month). You can insure for more coverage if you want/can afford it. For the "poorest" people, there are tax construction so these people are even paying less. Also, the insurance companies are obliged to ensure EVERYBODY for basc health care. It is an outrage that a "modern" country like the US has health care basically for the middle-rich and up. And still, I saw in a documentary last week that even middle class people cannot even affort basic dental care. I think (one of) the main problem is captialism/market working. It drives up price. People are forced into private clinics that are expensive. Also, suwing everyone for everything doesn't help too.... but that is another story. Another problem is that (especially republican) Americans are lergic to the word "tax" and "gouvernment", especially when they are mentioned in 1 sentence. If all people chip in (preferably ratio-wise), health care should be affordable, even in America.
  19. Personal experience. I use welfare gear (rune plate + d skirt) and training food I have in my bank. Make a cheap, decently fast run every day, the whole lair + phoenix fight takes about 10 minutes total. Since you have lower levels, you might consider better food/armour. Take an emergency teleport if you are insecure.
  20. Never shot a "powder powered" gun... not sure how you'd call it. I only shot light air powered rifles, the crappy kind you find on fairs. The one my uncle owns is barely heavy enough to shoot a small bird. I think a paint ball gun doen't count. I'd really like to shoot some "real" guns, rifle, shotgun or hand weapon, but the gun laws are very strickt here (which is good). You have to have a permit to even shoot a hand gun or rifle on a range, let alone own one. There are very few fire ranges anyway. You can only own gun for hunting purposes. I'd like to go skeet shooting sometimes, I think it'd be really awesome. For some odd reason you don't need a permit for that.
  21. Are you allowed to buy arour or weapons from shops? If not, it would be a true achievement, as you need very high levels to even get rune armour or weapons.
  22. RESPTEC for you guide... really, awesome  . As for my own achievements... I did all diaries and I have a quest cape. I think my achievement is that I didn't spend too long on this game to get any 99's.
  23. I wear melee armour, Neitisnot helm, dragon boots. Whip + falador shield (prayer bonus) I take a super attack potion, special weapon (DDS) + the items required (knife, tinderbox, secateurs) and a dramen staff for getting there. Fill the rest of my inventory with cheap food (tuna in my case). Run to the bottlenecks, attack the creature. Protect from magic if applicable, the range and melee hits can be tanked. When reaching the phoenix, make sure you have enough prayer, and protect from magic. A nice D&D, with a nice reward!
  24. Let's see how long it takes to do. I mean, the bone sack teleports you to the site, the fight lasts like <5 minutes. For 1000 prayer and 1250 slayer, I consider it to be very ittle work. The teleport is convenient, you dont have to run all the way to the weird old man.
  25. Yes, train on a plank droppper, preferentially the top one of the list... I think you'd rather train on the thing that makes the best money/hour, and use it to buy planks.
