I live in a town, and mainly drive to/from work etc. We got plenty of snow and crappy driving conditions here (Heck, I'm almost Santa's next door neighbour :P ) but I'm still more than happy with my tiny Opel Corsa. It fits all I need to stuff into my car, uses about ,5l/10km (that's city driving, less on the long trips) and is dead easy to maneuver in crowded city streets. Not to mention how easy it is to park. Whenever they get electric cars with a range of atleast 600km count me in. I really would've preferred a Smart, but my budget didn't like the thought. Saw a Porche Cayenne at the mall the other day, and what the heck??!! If you want to have a Porche (and I can understand those wo do) WHY use about 1,5M NOK on something that basically looks like a traktor.... And as for the "I would be safer in a crash" argument, that just reminds me of the cold war arms race. "My neighbour's got a bigger car, so I need one too incase we ever crash". And if you do a head on in 80km/h (about 55mph-ish) you're pretty toast nomatter what.

Aww shucks. Thanks for all the kind words. And yes, I've been on staff before and ended as Admin. I'm now back again and love spending time helping the people on this board where I spend so much of my time. (Not many posts for that amount of time, but I'm a grade A lurker.) And of course, please feel free to pester me with questions/comments etc if there is something on your minds. These boards would never be the home they are today for so many of us without all the wonderful users. =D>

I consider myself a skiller, even though I have all melees 99, but only one non-fighter 99. My melee stats have grown mainly from training other skills. I got a lot of xp from RSC thieving, I have no idea how many thousand chaos druids and chaos druid warriors I killed for herbs before Miscellania and farming, and slayer was the skill that pushed them to 99. So IMHO, yes, you can absolutely be a skiller even if you have high combat stats. :)

IIRC the xp for drag bones were 60 back in RSC. I remember noticing the increase in xp when beta was released and keeping all my d-bones until the real release came. I also think regular bones used to be 2,5xp but can't remember big bones.

People, this is actually a very good thread IMHO, please don't ruin it by flaming, namecalling etc. I remember a time soloing the KBD was for only a few players. Nobody thought of soloing KQ when she came along. Likewise people had their sorry behinds handed to them by Jad and GWD bosses when they came. Not to forget the mith drags. Point of this? No, the beast hasn't been soloe'd yet. He probably won't be for a good while. Is he hard? Yup. Will he probably be soloe'd at some point? Most probably. Players get more experienced, we might get better gear/food/pots, there may be some hidden trick noones discovered (or told about) yet. So instead of flaming etc use this thread to discuss how possibly he can be soloe'd.

Hey, me too, except for mining. Almost gotten a mining lvl due to the stars, and now I actually have the incentive to try and drag my behind to 90. Just 3 and a bit more lvls to go :)

A little tip for getting low lvl seeds is to hang around draynor when people are pickpocketing the master farmer. Atleast I drop allotment under tomato, herbs under ranarr, hops under wildblood etc. And seeing as farming is a skill that does take time, try to farm as many different locations as possible at any given time. Hop patches start at lvl 4 with barley and there's one field in Lumby, bushes start at lvl 10 with redberries and there are 2 bush spots easily available to new players (champions guild and south of crafting guild). Also keep in mind that farming will give pretty good help to other skills. use sacks and baskets to collect you produce, cook the potatoes/onions etc, make pots from the herbs, marigold are either for summoning or sell for a very nice price. I could go on forever :) Good luck with your farming progress.

Now the question is: Can you continue to mine more stars today, and subsequently dump the stardust, then gather up another 200 for new reward tomorrow, or is that it of starhunting for the day?

Pssst, if you use the best tea and the crystal saw I'm pretty sure you can build a guilded altar at lvl 69, as they both give a stackabel boost of +3.

Lets see. First off. When you have stuff like 1 gold ore, 4 mith ores etc and you also have the bars, smelt the ores! I try to not keep multiple "varieties" of one item (ie ores/bars, molten glass/vials, cut/uncut gems and so on). Also, if you've got any complete sets of armour/robes/costumes etc chuck them in the costume room of your POH, if you have one. If you don't I strongly recommend you get one. Another thing, if you speak to the Wise old man in Draynor, he'll tell you which quest items you can throw out. (if any). I think this migth only apply to free quests, but worth a try. Good luck
