Andylax38's 9 Lob Bursting/Barraging Guide
Do the math. This thread has every info you need. Typical question of a 99 cook/fletcher...

Time is money - but is it in RuneScape?
That's actually pretty true. I normally am a big fan of the time is money principle. But to make this "system" work, you actually NEED to go out and make money in the hours you saved (which I mostly dont). Doesnt change the fact that, say, fishing sharks for money, is a "bad" thing to do though.

Update of the year?
Wow indeed, how can I have forgotten that one. At first I didnt use them, but now I cant go without em :o.

Underrated Items
True that. Black mask/Slayer helmet + dragon battleaxe special + whip = Utter pawnage. Saving the special for dds specs/sgs specs and just drinking super atts and super strs (or zammy brews) is even more pwnage.

99 Construction w/SC Hammers
I'm pretty sure you can have more. Ive got a friend who says he has 25 tools. It's only, if you HAD more, they got reverted.

Underrated Items
glory is just as good offensively. Keep whip.

When did it happen?
Herblore wasnt profitable before the GE trust me, I got 80 quite a while before it. If it ever was profitable, it was a looong time ago. Anyway, the oldest skill I remember training to a decent lvl, was 70 crafting. Was in the top 2k back then (was not long after rsc changed to rs2). And trust me, I did loose money by doing it (silver bars). But for some skills, I think the change has come with the skillcapes. I dont really remember, but I think cooking and fletching were all profitable before the skillcapes. And if it already was unprofitable took cook before skillcapes, then it will only have gotten worse cause of them. But like bauke said, it goes gradually.

Skill cape
You will die one day with just the cape, and balance is back. In fact, chances are you loose much more capes than hoods. Saw this guy who had 80 or so surplus hoods, seriously :D

building up drop potential
Do you actually need to loose the 75k when you get killed (I.E. wear 3 expensive items + 75.001k cash) or is just 75k in armour enough? Put on protect item prayer and look at your 'kept on death' screen. The top 4 items are saved, the rest must add to 75k. So you need to have 4 valuable items + 75k. Okay. So you are smithing addy bars 3iteming + 25k cash ? (25k cash + (26-1 saved with protect)*2k (=50k) = 75k). Not sure if your factoring in addy bar costs, but I smithed them while wearing karils top\veracs skirt\ring of life\dd++ for my 4 protected items, and a zammy stole for my 'lost' item so that I didn't lose any invo space. I used a summon (war tortise to help with smithing) to boost my combat level so that very few people could attack me, and my karils protected from teleblock + dd++ kept most rangers\meleers away. Yeah, I factored in addy bars at 2k each (actually, the minimum is 2100, with addy arrowtips at 140 each). Your way may be better though, thankss for sharing. Only downside is that it's a bit riskier to afk smith this way. I put it in the corner of my screen while I'm doing other stuff, not much goes on in that area so you notice when a red dot comes on. Your basically safe though, click the house tele tab in invo and your fine. Okay, just tried it today. I was wearing what you suggested, except, no dds. Clay hammer protects over stole so I'd stil loose stole. Saves me my hammer if I die (protects over row), at the cost of looking less "scary". I brought a bunyip as familiar, dunno why, doesnt matter. Anyway, I got attacked several times. A few times by a one item agser (seriously, all he was carrying was ags). No biggy. However, later I got attacked 3 times by a dclwawer who was carrying teleblocks, zammy strikes, whip, ... . First 2 times I got away by just running to bank (was teleblocked). He logged so I tried again, however I brought a few brews, cause somethign told me he would log in again soon. Guess what, 2 min later, bam dclawed again. If it wasnt cause of the brews, I was dead :-). Long story short: for me it didnt work out. Might be cause of the crowd (1250 people in there), or cause I was unlucky, dunno. I'm not considering afking while doing this, hehe.

High Level Herby
And spend a lot of time not gaining xp.
-
High Level Herby
You will make profit off the farming, and loose money on the actual herbloring. Net, you will probably profit. However, this doesnt make herblore cheap. It's just the same as buying herbs from the GE.

MTK: Fishy question + Update: new questions

2x 99 goals this year... Question is what?
Lol, why should you "have to have it". I'd seriously rahter not have it, than have it (unless I somehow could get it instantly). I'd feel bad about the time wasted.

Maging Rock Lobsters Efficiently
Barrage saves you time but is more expensive. Dont know where the equilibrim is though (like: do ice barrage if you make x amount of money per hour). Thought it was around 500-1000k.

2x 99 goals this year... Question is what?
Dont go for one, really. Do the skills you like. Sounds cliché, but trust me, getting a 99 is a serious anticlimax.
-
Barrage or Burst at Rock Lobsters?
That guy's information is wrong. You only need 18-22 bursts for 9, certainly not 25 or more. Besides that it seems pretty accurate. (he claims barrage is even cheaper too, which it isnt, but apperantly, you save enough time to make up for it).

MAX Armadyl KC
With full void, zammy book and pony I can survive there (sara stole as sara item). If you can only use a bunyip you'll probably need b2p too.
- SC tools

How many chins on average for 99 range?
So greys are better than red now? Yes, they were even better when reds were only 650 each (and greys 350). Now reds are 730 each. My figures are: 200-210 xp per grey chin (260-270k an hour) 255 xp per red chin (325k an hour) 14 pray pots an hour.

Getting 99 Magic
Please search for topics, this has been discussed numerous times. Again... Enchanting diamond bolts: 120-150k xp an hour, loss that's smaller than alching (when I did it). Btw, whoever suggested to alch with brawler gloves: what a waste! Do bolt enchanting, 600k magic xp an hour! (if you focus extremely). compared to 300k with alching. Brawler gloves are rare enough.
