  2. Runescape isn't loading for me. Anyone else?
  3. You live in one right now, most likely. When was the last time you paid with cash, when you had the option to pay with your debit card? It's a similar situation, where the concept of cash is still the backbone of the economy, but the demand is for the item, not the wealth. And like you've touched on, it's because they made cash so easy to obtain. Though I do have to chuckle when so many people say, "It's 76king oh no!" Yes, it's that. But there are also many, many other methods that pump cash into our wallets with absolutely no effort. What about Fruit Falling at the duel arena? Flipping items via the grand exchange? Merching clans as a whole? And all the various other little get-rich quick schemes that, bit by bit, aren't too devastating, but when you add them all together...76k'ing is only a slice of the troubling pie that is the failing short term economy. Please explain me how flipping items on the GE, or fruit falling creates GP, thus causing inflation. That's right, it doesn't and thus it doesn't apply to this discussion. Also, off topic, what is fruit falling exactly? You go to duel arena, use your fruitbat to create papaya's, end duel to get special summ attack again?
  4. But from my understanding, the trapping no longer works? At least, I tried and I failed, but I might have been doing something wrong. Care to quickly explain how you trap them?

Getting 90 herblore myself too. I'm having trouble getting super enegy's and antifires though. Bad move to wait for the "to settle". They still have a long way to go, if you look at the gp/xp.
  7. Did you remove the hilt to avoid the 4 limit, or are bandos hilts somehow selling better (which I doubt)? Anyway, pretty nice, but those are quite small profit marigins (roughly a little under 2%), no? I'm pretty sure you can have items which have 3 to 4% but then again, those might take more time, or are not worth enough.
  8. Wow, you are so though and cool. You rip people online! Anyway, on topic, those people obviously don't know what they are talking about.

They do buy slowly on the GE. I've bought around 5k vials after the update so far.
  10. I'd get (in this order): 90 prayer 90 herblore 99 magic (through barraging rock lobs with the magic pots you can make at 90 herblore + greenman's ale). On the order: prayer first, while you wait for herblore prices to settle (buy your vials already though, and perhaps some herbs which you think will stay high). Then herblore cause you need the magic pots. Then magic, where you will use your herblore (and your prayer a little). Barraging with the new pots must be insane (haven't tried it, but I will). You will be getting over 220 crimsons an hour normally + a hefty amount of magic and hp experience. Nothing can top this in my opinion.
  11. Chinning is actually pretty decent at your lvl. Check my guide and the reply's (see my signature), there is someone reporting results when he was 78 ranged or so.
  12. You do realise that is exactly what jagex wanted to do with the herblore update? However, they canceled the most important benefits. Also, skill capes are a reward for those whop spend time and money, however, they are also the cause why the money part has been getting bigger. Giving more rewards, will make the buyable skills even more expensive...
  13. Same happened to vial of water, and I've seen some guy on the forum (Sores Noob) who had 2M vials when the update struck. That's what I call a FML moment. But really, were vials merched that badly? Were they massively hoarded by clan leaders and then by the clan membes on the instruction of the leader? To me it just seems like a rise caused by the herblore update, just like every other herb. Bad decision by Jagex tbh. And master smither, I don't really understand why you call Arcane and Spectral unstable. They have been buy-able for mid max for almost 2 weeks now (or longer, but for me personally) and they have proved to be very reliable and easy (though you need some patience) flips. I don't really see how they could suddenly crash, or get totally bought out. They are buyable, they are sellable. Seems pretty stable to me.
  14. The new trend seems to be short quest with very high xp rewards. Not bad I guess, but it will make you forgot the quest pretty quickly. No new item or monster, or ... Anyway, I will enjoy the agility experience, cause lvl 80 has been waiting for me a looong time.
  15. Aw, I didn't expect these stupid jokes from you. Please don't ruin my good image of you :-)
  16. I'd suggest getting that new magic pot before you go.
  17. Little off topic but Pre GE herblore was profitable with a little patience. I sold all of my pots through forum and w2. 100 minimum, 1000 mostly, to hard core pkrs & monsterhunters. Average profit/potion varied between 250gp and 3k. Because I did my own herbfarming, my profits were even better. GE killed herblore....... With a little patience. Even though I did it your way too, Time is money. The actualy processing of herbs into pots is NOT a profitable process. Taking time and selling them in edge bank is the profitable process, because you could as well buy the finished pots cheap and en mass on the forums, and sell them in edge bank. Same applies for farming. The farming is the profitable process.
  18. Fat Klutz, I think you have a wrong view of herblore in the past. Before the GE, when pking still existed, making supersets and selling en mass wasnt't profitable either. Super sets were like 6-8k on the forums, and 10k in edge bank, if you sell to the lazy pkers. I think they were around 8k to make, give or take. The only way they were profitable, was by selling in ege bank, which takes a lot of time. It was basicly the selling in edge that made it profitable, not the processing itself. When the GE came out, the pkers could use the GE, so they stopped paying the extra 2k for the merchers supplying them in their beloved edge bank. For the herblorists who used to buy his herbs en mass on the forum, and sell his pots en mass on the forum, not much has changed. Herblore has been unprofitable if you want to train it efficiently, as long as I can remember. Growing herbs yourself, collecting seconds yourself are all false arguements, because you could sell these, in stead of processing them, and end up making more money. The process of making potions itself is unprofitable. Next, I dont know why you bring up monsters dropping super sets. The influx of super sets of monster drops seems very, very minor to me. Lastly, why, oh why do you think people will stop making potions which give higher experience than sara brew, once these potions become unprofitable to make, while before, they were spending up to 18gp/xp, to receive slower experience, AND without any incentive to get above 81. I'm betting there are tons of high lvl herblorists who would jump on the occasion to get from 88 to 99+ herblore for free, and at a faster rate than the current fastest way (brews). If you don't get this, you seriously underestimate the skillers mentality and skillcape chase RS is currently suffering under. I'm not going further into the unfairness thing, because that seems to be a matter of opinion too, while the above is easily gotten by using your brain.
  19. I'm pretty sure armadyl and sara are better money statistically.
  20. I doubt herblore is as slow as RC. Your comparison is bad. Mine wasn't. I compare even stats to even stats. You compare uneven to even. Trust me. These potions would end up being profitable. People are willing to pay 19m for bandos plate even though it has far less defense than other things simply to get that +4 str bonus. If you don't think pkers will pay an arm and a leg for these potions for the chance to hit higher your crazy. Especially the mage potion. Hitting 40% more (or w.e it is) would be a necessity and people would pay. Come on, be realistic. Before this update, there was no reason to train your herblore at all, yet every single potion made you lose money to make it. Still people made those pots. The only people who bothered training it were ones with a lot of cash to waste and who already had high levels in every other skill. That is why there is no profit from potions because the only people wiling to make them don't care what they have to pay to get fast exp. And 18k people have 80 herblore. That is not a lot. And I assume because you didn't comment on it you think it is ok for someone 5 combat levels lower than you to have just as good a chance to win? Pkers might be willing to pay an arm and a leg, skillers will jumping on these fast xp pots, letting the pkers just pay a fingernail. Okay, the first days to weeks high lvl herblorists would profit, but I can assure you after a month or two, it is cheaper to buy these pots, than to make them yourself. I don't get why you think it would be different with these pots than the pots we had before? Okay they are high lvled, but they will also make more people train herblore to get that lvl, so in the end, they will end up like super strength pots, or sara brews. Als, those with high lvl herblore are probably very comitted, so they will be happy to produce these new pots en mass to get more herblore xp. About the 5 combat lvls lower issue: Before this update, there have been people 10 to 20 combat lvls below me, having an equal or greater chance to win. (99 def range mage hybrids for instance, with only 52 prayer compared to my 90 prayer). Was that fair?
  21. Come on, be realistic. Before this update, there was no reason to train your herblore at all, yet every single potion made you lose money to make it. Still people made those pots.
  22. Well, buddy, trust me if I tell you the equilibrum will be far below profit marigin. There are plenty of high lvl herblorists willing to make this potions, if it costs less than sara brews, and gives better xp. And the update will cause even more herblorists who will reach the lvl, and will buy the supplies. You really think people wll stop making these extreme pots when it becomes unprofitable? Trust me, it is better xp than sara brews, so the only point where they won't be made anymore, is if they become more expensive than sara brew to make. And your xp thing doesn't make sense. I'm pretty sure someone with 92 92 92 stats beat someone with 99 99 1 (def) stats, yet the second one has more xp. Also, xp isn't xp. Ever noticed how you can easily, and cheaply get 200k+ cooking xp an hour, and that you can barely get one 5th of that with runecrafting?
  23. Couldn't agree more. I have this obsession with rounded lvls too. Lately, it's getting a bit of a mess because I'm lazy, but I used to have very nice rounded stats :-)
