If you give 100M to a lvl 3, they are starting out with an advantage. Then they have virtually unlimited resourses while a new lvl 3 has to work their way up. Starting a new account should mean starting NEW with nothing to aid in your rapid growth as a character other than your prior knowedge of the game.

I merchanted from 8M to 21M for a santa hat in f2p...took me like 2 months ( 1 hour a day ). I did cow hides for the first 4M....then tanned alot of hides, then finially ended buy buying gems and gold bars and making rings and selling to p2pers. A bit slower than hides, but great exp ( 60 - 70 crafting ) Starting with 1.2M eh? I'd say buy 12k hides, tan them...sell for 250 each, and then you have yourself 3M. That's a nice start :D

Good article but I could have written it much better :-w Very true points in there. And the point about the macros....Jagex is doing all they can, but as long as there is a market for RS GP gold farmers will never stop making accounts.

I am not entirly sure what the poll results for the event were, but they all seemed like fun. And the winner of the clothing was the hood which should look good, but jagex somehow finds a way to make many things look bad. :wall: *hopes for a dark black hood like the slayer cape*

Zone Alarm is a firewall that's fine, Ad-Aware SE is good you got an Anti-Virus? Zone Alarm is both anti-virus and anti-spyware I use Zone Alarm as well, you should be fine as long as you keep it updated an run a virus scan every week :) I update it whenever I can, and I have it set to a scan every night while I sleep :D

Over the past few days there have been an influx of newcomers posting things like " LOOK I LURED 1.3B AND A BAJILLION PHATS!" Then they post a bunch of links...I have a feeling that was bubbles.

For any of you techno geeks out there....are Ad Aware SE and ZoneAlarm good enough?

I got from 8M to 20M merching f2p for my santa hat... There were a few main ways I merchanted. Buy cow hides for 100 each and sell for 140 each to poeple on the RSOF, easy 100 - 200k an hour. Buy iron ores at anywhere from 75 - 100 each and sell for 110 - 120. Buy coal 175 - 180 each and sell for 200 each. Buy Saphires 100 - 200 each, emeralds 500 each, rubies 1k each, and diamonds 2k each, then either sell them on the RSOF, or make them into rings ( buy gold bars 150 - 200 each ) and sell the rings along with cosmics (buy for 100 each ) and sell the rings to members. Or you could make into ammys and sell them. This is not quite as fast, but you still get crafting exp :D I got from 60 - 70 crafting making only rings.

They always put those little commennts in there. You are not supposed to take it that seriosly....unlike what many people think, jagex loves to have fun. They often talk about living in private castles that Andrew bought them.

I am a player mod and I did not see anything there that reqired a mute. Jagex has specific rules regarding mutes. As a mod you can not just go around throwing mutes at anyone that you see. And, technicly player mods do not have to do anything.

Random events are triggered after 15 minuted of continuously doing the same thing. So if you stand in one spot for 15 mins and not do anything, then you tele/alch/anything really you will likely get a random event. You should be happy you got 3 mazes...once I got 2 in a row, and because I have the maze memorized I ended up with over 200k in loot. All that from just 30 mins of killing ankous :D
