Meh, all depends what you need most. If you're after gold per hour then the extra invent slot from carrying a spec weapon in the first place might slow you down in the long run - always having to bank ever so slightly sooner, less loot per trip etc... ! ;>

Experiaments are great. So is soul wars, or training via slayer tasks. If you're F2p - Try either the red spiders in Varrock sewer, or level in the security stronghold. Any monsters with high HP and low defence are perfect for training on.

As you'll probably pull it out again for specs when you get a scimi or whip, dont forget that you dont get exp for poison damage - so it's best to use a clean dagger when your leveling, not ddp++. ;> - Gid

I don't respect people for their stats, anyone can gain a certain stat so long as they have the time available to put into it. I respect people for the way they act, not for their ability to complete simple repetitive tasks.

I don't think it's really gone down. I think we have grown up, ingame and IRL. People who complain about the community three years ago and the community now often forget that three years ago, they were three years younger. For teenagers, and young adults - Three years can represent a hell of a lot of change in world view and outlook. Also remember, when you were new to the game you often wouldn't see the newbish crap that irritates you now as newbish crap - You'd just see it as part of the game. On top of this, it's human nature to view the past in rose tinted glasses - You don't want to remember the frustrating [cabbage]e you used to wade through; there's enough of that in the present.

I'm not a real stickler for rules, they are meant to enhance gameplay for everyone - Not restrict you. So i'd never report a friend unless what he did he really pissed me off. If that's the case here, it's all gravy. Do what you feel is right, not what either Jadex OR Clan Rules tells you should be right... However, like someone already mentioned, if he's going to report a clannie for being lewd - I'd guess he wasn't really particularly friendly with said clannie. I wouldn't want to be in a clan where I was not friends with the other members.

Hey, it's simple conditioning! If a person learns that Jerk = Slap, he'll feel less inclined to be a jerk! Also fixes the problem, the internet's anonymity, rather than ignoring the symptoms. ;)

Good point. :) The DC was originally an offshoot of the Rants forum, to allow the people who frequented Rants to debate and discuss issues to do so without all the pathetic 'FFS PRAY NUB GRRGRGR' crap that the ranters wanted to 'vent'. There was quite a bit of friction between the posters who just wanted to air their fustrations, and ones who had heard the same frustrations aired a million times already and were searching for interesting points of contention to discuss. Maybe some insights found here. ;) As things changed, you're quite right in saying that a lot of things get put in GD that could be just as well discussed here. I'm unsure atm of what would fix this, or if it even needs fixing at all. Dunno if that helps. - Gid

Had they intended a certain stat pattern to be the 'correct' playstyle - They would have designed the game so that it was the 'only' playstyle. If building a character who's stats achieve your purpose best is 'playing the game wrong', then how the hell do you play the game 'right'? Who the hell's complaining? I accepted that the wilderness was 'gone' a long time ago, and moved on to better things. In this thread, the question posed by the OP asked if we would like to return to older versions of gameplay, all I've done is answer that question honestly. I understand your post's. I just disagree with a lot of the points you make. Is that okay, sir? Oh, and the pic made me lol. 8-)
