I do remember reading some material on the relation to smithing and mining, and the conclusion the poster made was that the ore one mined getting 85 mining was only a fraction of the ore it would take to get 85 smithing. Had you ever tried honorable, solo PKing? Have you tried Bounty Hunter, really? If so, you'd appreciate the world of difference between a true PKer, and the sort of player you clearly feel such angst against. For the record, all bounty hunter does is promote the banner of inbred 1 iteming, luring scum you seem to lump all PKer's under. Whilst also giving no incentive for honorable PKers to continue playing. I'm sorry, but I can't honestly agree with destroying half a decades 'work' because of a mis-perception. You're right I suppose. People can see it as offensive if they twist it and try hard enough. However this perception is wrong. Ultimately, these types are wrong to be offended by such a name. Jagex should stick up for those who are in the right, not bow to pressure from those who are wrong. You're forgetting that this KrazyFaken is a real person. Someone who invested a great chunk of his LIFE into this game. Can you honestly say it's fair to do this to him, simply because some passersby though 'Hmm, that sounds slightly like X - Naughty guy. Now back to fishing' Is that justice? - Gid.

It doesn't matter what it may be perceived as. The only thing that matters is what it IS. Sure, I can see how are few either extremely uptight, or extremely immature people may be be able to construe such a name as offensive. However why pander to such shortsighted people? Honestly, 'KrazyFaken' There's a lot of much easier ways to be offensive. This is a player who has attracted much public attention to himself over a long period of time, if Jagex actually considered his name offensive themselves - they would have dealt with it a long time ago. By claiming 'we have had too many reports' they are insinuating that they don't think it's offensive. It's a blame shift. Considering the idea that they don't personally find it offensive - if Jagex had any nerve, they would tell the reporters to grow up and stop wasting customer service time. - Gid. Edit: After a google search, I found no reference to anyone using the word Faken in any form of offensive manner on the first 4 pages. Maybe if I looked further? 'Faken' wasn't even defined in the urban dictionary, my first port of call when I need to find the meaning of any offensive slang.

Your entire post is based around the false assumption that the name 'KrazyFaken' is actually offensive. To be see any thing wrong in such a name, ones mind would have to be severely perverted enough that I doubt they would be offended by it. Jadex needs to grow a pair and tell these whiners 'Lol, no. It's not offensive. Just ignore it.'

Spot on. It's disgusting. Truly. Makes me feel sick that I ever paid these people my money. I'm a great believer in upholding valuable, worthwhile rules and principles. But I strongly dislike rules simply for the sake of having rules. Jagex have decided upon a 'no name changing' principle, if it truly is impossible - Fair play. However this smacks of stubborn, uncaring 'it's our game, we said it so it's right'.

Excuse me? :( ... No, I don't believe Jadex could do this. The gold sellers sell gold that was already in the economy. Jadex aren't about to go hiring farmers to collect this gold, the would simply fabricate it. This influx of GP into the economy would cause such inflation that players would be forced to RWT just to keep up.

Not when the game was flawed, and the fabricated nonsense made it more fair and more fun for everyone. But now the wilderness is dead, it is a moot point.

Anyone who can say: Clearly isn't an idiot. ;) And yes, aspects in this game are interlinked. A large volume of PKers quitting will most certainly have an impact on people who sold sharks to them etc. I've cooled off a little too, and can understand Jadex's reasons for such a move. Yup, you can still team for kills. Sadly many players prefered to test their skills and stats alone, without a big team to act as a safety net. :( I guess the game just changed. Adapt or leave. >.<

I understand. And i'm hoping that i'm not the only one to stop paying. However, while ideally the changes i'd like to see would be a complete reversal. That won't happen. All I want is a form of [not riskfree] PvP that is viable without a 20 man team. I understand that these changes we're for 'the greater good' but that fact remains that the current RS2 is not fun for me. I won't waste time playing a game I don't enjoy, simply because of old times. If Jadex fix it, make it playable regarding my own and many others playstyles, then sure - I'll stop by again. Edit: And for the record, I'm really not interested in blame. I'm interested in results, and Jadex stopped delivering. ;)

But wasn't the majority of nats bought by people wanting to alch to at least 85 magic, higher preferably, for PKing purposes? Will there still be such a huge demand for these runes, with such a smaller base of players dedicated to raising such a high mage level?
