They'd also be doing what no other MMO game (not just pertaining to the RPG genre) has ever achieved, which is what makes it all the more incredulous. Yes indeed. It seems incredible. But then all of humanity once thought the Earth was flat or at least not round...

I am a bit surprised they didn't win. With so many f2p accounts on rs...Seems like Jiblix's video had a bigger impact than I thought it would.

If this works indeed. I really, really hope that Jagex are right about this. They seem to be more than sure though; 98% is no small percentage! If they really success with removing almost all of the bots in RuneScape this game will change. Forever. I have been playing this game for 7 years now, and this is the update that I am looking the most forward to in whole that period. Honestly. I know that we can't know for sure yet that this bot-busting will really work. But if it does...It would be really wonderful. And as I wrote above, it would change this game completely. I really hope you know what you are doing this time, Jagex. I really do.

I don't think they're just now admitting it. It's what was commonly understood to be necessary, which is why we have player mods and reports in the first place. But Jagex was heavily criticized for a lack of visible results breeding apathy to the situation in their player base. I think that was more of the reason for this newspost than a sudden revelation more than anything. Agreed. Jagex had to take some action now, and I am very happy that they finally did. Let's just hope they actually do something about the bots now too :)

Two great ideas put forward here. To track different players with some kind of automatic system and then check up those who have behaved suspiciously like a bot recently will then get extra attention. This would probably be quite hard, but it is still a good idea of what Jagex could do.

It is purely for fun. And I will probably take part. It seems interesting to beat up some zombies :D

Yep. Sinkhan is right. It use to happen to me all the time and I wondered why I had these random people added, until one day in GE I realized I accidentally added someone via a misclick. This have happened to me soooo many times too. I got really confused about it before I understood what it was.
