  1. Whip, ZS only for corp beast or waterfiends.
  2. [spoiler=Long Quote] You know when i need to go B.A what happens? The games stop and the consistency ends. Because some players ruin the game for you in one way or another. Either because they have to go, or by leaving the team or whatever. Even when i do everything: be understanding, help out, keep things together, and remind everyone to stay strong as a team---- it always goes down sooner or later. I can organize a team of 5, and maintain it and cooperate: But time will not always make Dungeoneering team consistent. And i do not want to go around planning "OK, guys Tuesday we will do Dungeoneering!". Jagex needs to make Dungeoneering solo exp rates the same. Because i know when that happens a [wagon] like you will go do solo right away, because afterall i doubt you give a [bleep] about team Dungeoneering. I certainly don't give a crap about Team Dungeoneering. I like the skill, but i don't want to kill myself getting VERY SLOW EXP solo. It takes 333 hours to get a Chaotic weapon if your focused And it takes double that if your slow. 333 hours...that equals 13 days of straight Dungeoneering. Well of course I would go solo if solo exp rates were equal to team, why the [bleep] would I waste my time and effort with random teammates when I could do it myself at my speed? I only like team dungeoneering when I'm with friends, as it's more about fun then for me. But I hate w117 dungeoneering too, yet I sucked it up and did larges there when I had to. Also, 333 hours? Seriously? 6k exp per hour? How slow are you? If you c1 rush 1-20 solo quickly (lets say 50 minutes, 400ish exp each, that's already 8k exp there. Then c6 small rush up to 30 or something, taking 15 minutes each (way too much, but let's just say it does), and let's say 5k exp, that's 20k exp/hr after c1 rushing up to f21. And it'll get higher at the higher floors too. But 6k exp per hour? Do you do meds on f1 and clear everything or something? Yes, solo dungeoneering is slow, but if you go through the trouble of organizing a team and managing to keep it together, I would say you deserve the higher exp. I hate it myself dearly, but I've come to accept it. Just find a friend and 2:1 rush or something, it's not bad, can reach up to 50k exp/hr easily once you get good at it. But it shouldn't be this way. We can't always relay on others or wait for them... Yeah I know, I've complained many times to friends that a skill shouldn't be helped out by over 3x just for working with others, like a minigame. But well, what can we do but deal with it =/.

  4. The way I see it, they get rewarded for organizing a team of 5 and cooperating during the dungeon. If you want to play solo, then you'll get less exp, but nothing else is stopping you from doing it. You won't have the headache of having other people help you, which seems to be such a scary concept for some. It doesn't HAVE to be a group skill, it's just beneficial to do so if you can get a good team.
  5. Is that decent? Averages out to about 220 an hour without triple charms Barraging, you can average around 200 an hour : / Amidoinitrite How is 342 charms on 3x charms work out to 220? Or did you count the exp from golds/greens/blues in terms of crimsons? Because with 342 crimsons in 40 minutes of 3x charms, it would be 114 normally, so 171 per hour. I've only done triple charms three times ever, once with iron titan, twice with steel. With iron I got 342 (off task), and steel 405 one time, and the other time 414, both times on task. I dunno if I got lucky with crimson drops or something, because that works out to 207 crimsons/hour which I heard isn't possible at chaos tunnel waterfiends (keep hearing max of 200, so maybe its possible I guess).
  6. Well DFS is largely useless for slayer, as the defender is better for every task except the dragon ones if you don't have super antifires I suppose. I would say get claws, they're funner (in my personal opinion anyways), can get a few quicker kills, and are awesome for bosses if you ever do those. However, for slaying, make a long term goal to get turmoil and extreme I would say, unless you have no intention of getting those, and already have the best slayer gear for the other slots (or near the best such as barrows/proselyte instead of bandos or something). So I would say either get claws or put some money into herblore or prayer if you ever want to level those up, as DFS is pretty much outclassed by a rune defender at most tasks.
  7. This should be in Help and advice I'd think, not here. But to answer your question, yes, use super attack and super strength potions while slaying, or if you have them, extreme attack and strength. You could also use super defence if you wish, although it usually isn't necessary, but it's pretty cheap so doesn't hurt.
  8. turmoil/ pietying? I don't think hellhounds hit very high, so the bunyip might heal enough. But the anti dragon fire shield?
  9. Yeah, ZGWD is pretty much horrible cash, relying almost solely on a hilt drop which is worth so little, TDs are far better since claws are worth more and more common and easier to kill. Although if you want, you could still solo it for fun. When I tried with yak, ovls, rapier, and turmoil, I only got 16 kills, but I also only got 15 kills at Bandos, and then I got 16 kills at Bandos with a unicorn only, so I have no idea how many kills to expect but for me Bandos soloing is easier, more kills (I just suck with yak only soloing because I don't time my ovl restores too well). So unless you're doing it for the fun, Bandos soloing is much better. What I would recommend for Zamorak soloing if you're still interested: Helm: Full Slayer Helm (if on task, also +10 magic defense) > Verac's Helm > Neitznot Helm Amulet: Fury > Glory Cape: Soul Wars cape > Fire cape Body: Karil's > black d'hide Legs: Karil's > black d'hide Weapon: Chaotic Rapier > Chaotic Longsword > Whip (not too sure really, maybe whip > CLS too, fairly certain Rapier's best though) Shield: Divine > Elysian > Spectral > Dragonfire shield > Obsidian Shield (range defense I guess, maybe rune defender better) Gloves: Barrow Boots: Dragon Ring: Berzerker (i) > Berzerker Arrow slot: 1 zamorak arrow Inventory would include 2 overloads, 1 antipoison (p++), house teleport, yak scrolls, unicorn scrolls, unicorn pouch, saradomin item (I'd recommend holy symbol, cheap and can drop after), dragon claws (maybe enhanced excalibur if you have the 400 LP healing one, otherwise I'd recommend a DDP lol, no idea really after dragon claws), and maybe 8 super restores and rest brews. Fill the pack yak with brews. I just guessed this inventory, when I tried it I ran out of prayer because I brought 7 super restores. Pray deflect melee and turmoil, and just keep your LP above 650ish at all times (can get specced and then hit by minion, happened to me once because I was at 550ish and confident I'd live lol). Again, I'm not expert on this at all, but try it out if you want, I find it fun to do once in a while.
  10. 300m Overall exp. :D Uhh...why does it say "dungeon level 44 reached" but your 87...? Grats on 300m anyways It means she reached floor 44, which she gets at 87. If she got a dungeoneering level, it would say "Leveled up dungeoneering"or something, instead of reached level 44. And yeah congratulations on 300m total exp.
  11. Are you talking about the quest blood runs deep? If so, what's your question? Who to talk to in order to receive the reward? If so, I believe it was Brundt the chieftain, although I am not entirely sure on that one.
  12. Is CLS really better than rapier at bandos? From my FFA experience with my friend who has CLS, me rapier, it's been 50-41 for rapier. We're both 99 melees, turmoil, overloads. First trip it was 23-15 for rapier, second trip it was 27-23 rapier (we brought 1 more ovl each this time, so more kills). We switch tanking every kill, and the attacker gets to use rune defender/claws for special attack. The second trip I forgot my rune defender though and was stuck with an obsidian shield for the entire trip, which may have cost me 2 kills or something I'm guessing. Although it's not a lot of kills, so far for me it seems that the rapier is better or at least equal to the CLS at bandos. Our equipment is overall the same, excluding the weapon (although 2nd trip my friend used BCP instead of karil's top and a neitznot helm instead of verac's helm).
  13. After the overload wears off your stats go back to base level. As for advantages, the main one is that you could brew and keep your stats at the highest levels (if you time it exactly, most likely few hits with lower stats). It is more useful for solos and Corporeal beast (like 6 man team, or solo). Also, it shines at DKs, as it boosts everything at once and allows you to brew still. It is not worth slaying with unless you have a lot of them in my opinion, as they are too expensive, but it depends if you value the herblore exp gained from making the overload (like if you value herb exp at 30 gp/exp, then a 80k 3 dose pot will cost you 14k or so, since you gain 2.2k herblore exp). When brewing though, if you use more than 2 doses of brew, using a super restore will be necessary to get your stats to 99 again, and then they will boost to 125 when your 15 second timer has passed.
  14. I would say rapier because it would help you to train your stats up for bosses, and a rapier is still a very good weapon for bosses, losing to CLS at Bandos and Saradomin GWD, and TDs as well without good and quick switching. Get the scroll of life if you farm a lot, or just do herb runs, as it will quickly add up and save you millions in the long run. Don't even consider the bone crusher; it costs far too much in tokens and it will hardly help. If you can kill 300 normal bone monsters in an hour, thats under 1.5k prayer exp I believe. Around 6 dragon bones at a gilded altar will give that much, in under 20 seconds. I would never consider getting one, as it is so useless and expensive, unless you have no desire at all for other items. The gem and coal bag, totem, and arcane stream all depend on what you like to do. If you do combat magic a lot, the arcane stream for sure. If you smelt or mine with coal, the coal bag. Gem bag for whatever needs a lot of gems. The totem could be useful for stuff like pyramid plunder and Zamorak GWD I suppose, but I would rather use a better shield with antipoison ++s instead. The two new prayers, I personally wouldn't get them since I'm on curses, but I guess the healing one may be useful, but I probably wouldn't get it unless you don't plan on getting 95 prayer. Also, over 100k tokens is very unappealing, so I would only consider it after getting stuff like chaotic weapons. Tome of frost; depends if you do stuff like ice burst or barrage a lot or something, but at 43k tokens, I would rather just pay extra for water runes. Mercenary gloves; useless, use barrow gloves. The new shields may be useful I suppose, though elysian and divine shields are better, but out of reach for many players. Depends on what you like to do, but I would prefer the weapons over shields.
  15. When I chinned from 91-97 with extreme range pots, geyser titan, and void, I got on average anywhere from 270 to 280 range exp per red chin. I dunno how 400 exp/chin is possible over an entire trip, unless I was really doing something wrong. You have to remember that it misses and hits 0s sometimes so that would bring the average down.
  16. I use it TDs and FFA corp mostly, since at TDs they switch their prayer every 165 total exp, so it makes it a lot easier to know when to switch. At FFA corp I like to know if I hit or not just to know whether I am doing good, though it doesn't make a difference. I also use it during slayer if the monster is nearly dead so I know when to move on to the next monster and not waste time to see the actual hit go through.
  17. Well, I never thought I'd get this level since I thought it was useless, but here I am now. And my bank pic after getting this level. And finally my potions tab now, hopefully enough to last me a long time other than buying some more brews/super restores/super pray pots. As for how I did the leveling, when extremes first came out I wanted them right away, and sold my BGS/claws and other stuff to get 80m, which managed to get me from 72 to around 91 herblore making super energy potions and then special restores. Ever since then, my leveling has come solely from making more extremes, overloads, and the occasional brews or super restores. I used every herb I got from MTK and herb farming to make whatever pot I could, even though it would have been more efficient to sell those and buy the potion or buy cheaper exp, I didn't really mind (for example, making my own brews from farmed toadflax and nests from MTK instead of selling and buying brews and cheaper herblore exp). The total cost? No idea, I know at least 160m since I spent 80m originally and 80m last week to make 1k overloads for my own use, but in between that I haven't really noticed the cost since it seemed cheap to me. Anyways, it feels cool to finally have a non combat 99, and one that has been useful for me. So rate away or whatever, and thanks for reading.
  18. Congrats on 99 herblore! (i think thats it?) I am pleased to know you can keep capes untrimmed still. How did you set yourself up exactly? As in, how did you manage to die in f2p in a reasonable location? Yeah it was herblore, thanks. I just got my hp low in a P2P world, in this case I was on lunar island since I wanted the normal magic spellbook, so I got the suqahs to get me down to around 100 LPs. Before I also used those unidentified liquids to get right down to 10 LP or so, but I didn't have any on me. I took out my untrimmed capes, and then took out 3 other capes, and arranged it so that the first three items in my inventory were the trimmed capes, the ones after untrimmed (this is so that when you die, the untrimmed ones will drop, check on your kept on death interface). I teled to falador, hopped to a F2P world, got the guards to kill me, ran to the lumbridge basement entrance, hopped back to a P2P world, withdrew 10 law/air/water runes (I just wanted to get a sufficient amount quickly), withdrew an unfinished potion and the secondary ingredient. Then I teled to falador, made the potion, got the level, hopped back to F2P world, and telegrabbed the cape. I had a 6 minute grave, and had right around 2 minutes left (I took some pictures for myself). As far as I know there isn't much in lumbridge that could kill you easily, which is why I use falador.
  19. Well I can confirm that you can still keep skillcapes untrimmed as I got another 99 today. I died in F2P, hopped over to a P2P world, got the level, hopped back and telegrabbed my untrimmed capes. I'm not sure if picking them up would work, but I don't really want to risk that as I'm rather fond of my capes. Maybe dropping would work as well for F2P 99s, I've always just died just to be sure.
  20. Problem with that is the titan may attack Grarr and get him on you, so fruit bat or bunyip would be much safer to use. Since he's the tank, that's what he wants. Non-tanks should use Bunyip, fruit bat, unicorn or pak yak. Oh my mistake then, I thought he wasn't tanking and was asking which familiars an attacker could use.
  21. Problem with that is the titan may attack Grarr and get him on you, so fruit bat or bunyip would be much safer to use.
  22. Heh good luck with more sara LS if you continue, hope you get a hilt of your own :^_^: My first time to sara LS I missed two trio hilts and never saw another hilt for the following 2 weeks of constant GWD (got 3 saradomin swords though, but would've preferred a hilt for sure), hopefully you don't encounter such bad luck.
  23. No, if you get assisted throughout the entire effigy process you only get exp from the final lamp.
  24. The one which is in the same spot as the accurate mode on bows, not sure which one that would be (the top left one). The rapid style is more exp per hour but at a greater cost, though maybe now with the low price of chinchompas it may be effective. But I would still use the top left one.
  25. Well from this guide by Zemus3654, the recommended equipment is : Helm: Verac > Armadyl > Torag/Guthan > Neitiznot > God Coif Chest: Armadyl > Karils > D'hide Skirt: Armadyl > Karils > D'hide Shield: Elysian/Spectral > Divine > Dragonfire > Arcane/Blessed Spirit > Dragon SQ > Granite/Rune Note: Divine is better for soloing, and in some cases duoing. Other then that the prayer drain is just too much and i would even recommend a Dfs over divine, for Trio+) Boots: Rangers > Infinity > Snakeskin > Ring: Archers > Seers > Life Amulet: Fury > Glory > Stole Gloves: Barrows > Bracers I have no idea what your budget is, so buy what you could. If not much money is available, I would use karil's top and bottom, blessed spirit shield, and verac's helm, along with fury/glory and the rest as listed above. Again, I don't know your budget and if what I consider welfare may not be so cheap for you. Also, instead of infinity use silly jester's boots, same stats but free. Weapon rune crossbow, bolts ruby (e) and diamond (e) when under half LP. Also, pretty sure you couldn't get onto pro teams with your stats, get at least 69 summoning for fruit bat. Your defence is kinda low still, but your range level is decent (in my opinion, some teams are strict on 95+ or something). You could duo or trio, but I'd think that you wouldn't be able to do as well as you would do in 4 man. Get an enhanced excalibur if you can for the spec weapon.
