  1. I know that overload potions leave your stats at the max boosted level for 5 minutes, but could they be lowered by things like brews and ahrim's effect? I have the supplies for 91 herblore at the moment, but I'm wondering how useful overload potions really are. Also, I know you take 50 damage throughout the overload potion's effect, but how is that damage taken? Is it 50 right at the start, or 10 per minute? And do you get the 50 hp back at the end of the 5 minutes? Basically, I just want to know how the overload potion's effects are affected by stat lowering potions/monsters, such as brews and ahrim.
  2. Oh, my bad entirely then =x. I just got used to seeing magic shortbow, didn't even notice lack of special bar. I really should pay closer attention to details =(.
  3. In this example, you still have a 1:3 ratio. Sara brew 1.) drink to 1 dose left. 1 dose left, 3 doses of super restore left. Sara brew 2.) drink to 1 dose left. 1 dose left, 2 doses of super restore left. Sara brew 3.) drink to 1 dose left. 1 dose left, 1 dose of super restore left. Now, drink the final dose of sara brews number 1, 2, and 3, and then the final dose of super restore. How is this a 1:4 ratio?
  4. If you only have 10-12m to invest into this, then just substitute some of the expensive equipment for some cheaper alternatives. For example, try: Torag's Helm Snakeskin boots Dragon square or granite shield (you don't really need range defense because you'll be praying range, so the dragon square is the next best thing to blessed spirit shield I think) Glory Amulet Black D'hide body and legs Ring of wealth or ring of life Barrows gloves and of course a rune crossbow and ava's accumalator/attractor (whichever is the better one, can't remember). This is "welfare" gear, but I dont' think you'll be risking much, and the only big change is the fury-->glory and the blessed spirit shield-->dragon square. Basically a cheaper alternative of everything in gorgoroth's list of equipment, yet still effective. You'll have less prayer bonus and defense, but it should still be good. His inventory is fine, just bring broad bolts for the kill count, leave a space open for the bars, and bring a 1:3 ratio of super restore:saradomin brew. I'm pretty sure a 1:4 ratio would leave you with lowered range.
  5. Maybe I'm missing something, but he has a magic shortbow on, so is he p2p at the moment just for the cape or something? None of his member stats appear to be trained, so I still think he got the exp in f2p, just wondering why he has a magic shortbow on. Or is magic shortbow f2p now? =o Anyways, nice achievement, 8/10.
  6. I'm planning on spending some money on bursting (barraging when I get 3 more magic levels) and using the charms for summoning. I have access to extreme mage pots, and was just wondering if anybody had a range of how much each exp would cost for summoning (and magic too if possible). I would be using ice burst and extreme mage pots, until 94 magic at which point I'll switch to ice barrage. I'm 89 summoning at the moment, if that affects the gp/exp ratio. Edit: By summoning exp, I mean the cost of the runes and the shards/summoning ingredients. Not just the shards/seconds.
  7. I got herblore exp at under 20 gp/exp, by making super energy's with mort myre fungus and a clean avantoe, and then using a papaya to make those restore special potions. You get 317.5 exp in total, for a cost of around 5.5k for a mort myre fungus, avantoe, and a papaya. But when I bought them, avantoes were still 1.6k, and papayas were at their peak at 2.8kish. Now avantoes are higher, and papayas are crashing, so it should still be under 20 gp/exp. I'm not exactly sure on current prices, so look those up if you're interested.
  8. I'd say go the nature runes method. In almost half the time, you'll make a little bit less money per hour. I'm sure you could make over 500k/hour with another method, such as boss hunting or whatever. I doubt you'd want to grind out an extra 51 hours just to make 100k/hour more per hour. Going the nature rune method, you'd have 51 hours to make up for the 30ish mill "lost". So the nature rune method seems to be the better choice, especially since it will take nearly half the time.
  9. Well, I use whip and defender, with verac's skirt and helm, and dharok's plate, and get on average 2 kills per trip, with 35 rocktails in total. I just got a bandos chestplate, so I'm excited about that. Looks like I got a new chestplate to use for bandos  Thanks for the awesome guide, maybe I'll improve to 3 kills per trip once herblore prices go down and I could use those extreme attack and strength potions. Also, would using a godsword really be that much better than a whip? Or should I get a bandos godsword just for the inital spec?
  10. In a 4+ man team, meleeing is generally more effective, as you can kill her quicker and if you have a unicorn (don't have much experience with other methods) not need any food at all. I've lasted in a trio team for around 50 kills before, but then I ran out of brews (only brought 2) so I had to tele. So for 3 man or less, ranging is probably more effective as you could probably get more kills. In 4+ man teams, melee is more effective from my experience. As for you Joe, I'd agree with intervention. Since you only have a titan, guthans would probably be needed. I use no prayer pots with verac's armour and a zamorak godsword, so with guthans you would most likely need prayer potions. You might also want to consider using a fruit bat, but I'm not too sure on how effective it is now that they removed the spamming of fruit bat's ablity.
  11. With your runecrafting, crafting double astrals would be decent money per hour. If you want a more relaxed approach, I suppose woodcutting yews would work well, although that's only like 100k per hour. There are many other options also, but it looks like to me that runecrafting double astrals would bring in over 500k per hour along with some good exp, so that's probably your best consistent money maker.
  12. Ok thanks going to get karils now  I'm not so sure about that. Karil's is hardly better than black d'hide, and magic defense doesn't help too much against corp. I use void in 6 man teams, and I do fine. Void has similar mage defense to black d'hide, but it gives more attack and strength. Just make sure you are able to get back in under 2 minutes just in case you do die though, because losing void is a pretty big risk to many. I've died a few times, but I just grab a few sara brews and a super energy potion and manage to get my void and berserker ring before they dissappear. So, from my experience, void works better than karils or black d'hide.
  13. I'd say coinshare is much better in the longrun, as you never miss out on a major drop. I trio lootshared at sara for around 50 kills, and my two teammates both got a hilt. I spent the next two weeks trying to lootshare a hilt myself then, as I had more lsp than most people, but all I got was 3 saradomin swords, and maybe 6m in normal drops. So instead of 40m in 50 kills, all I got was around 30m over two weeks, going everyday for at least 3 hours a day. If you bosshunt a lot frequently, lootshare might even out for you over time. Coinshare makes sure you get your money right away, but you only get money, instead of the whole item. Also, you still need to get lucky and get the drop from lootshare, and hope it isn't wasted on normal drops like mine was.
  14. Well when I bursted from 80 summoning, and I believe like 100 of each charm at the start, it cost my my zgs at that time, so around 30m. It might've gone up a bit, but I'd say it was worth it, because I gained 6 magic levels (84 to 90), 8 summoning levels (80 to 88), and one or two hp levels. Also, I wouldn't have been able to stand waterfiends for at least 40ish hours (most likely more), and bursting was much easier/less boring.
  15. That setup is good enough for a few solo kills. When I did a few trips a while ago, I had a similar set up, except I replaced the helm of neitznot with a verac's helm, and the grantie shield with either dragonfire shield or unholy book (used either on different trips). Your range is higher, so you should be able to get at least 5 kills per trip when you get experienced. I managed to get 4 at most.
  16. You have to remember, its all luck. I've gone over 50 runs dry before, and many other have done much worse. Then all of a sudden you could get 3 items in 10 runs. On average, its around one item every 16 chests I heard, but that is an average. Just keep at it, and eventually you'll get a drop. Also, I'm pretty sure you need to get more kc than just killing the brothers to get some runes. So if you dont' get an item, at least you make some if it back from the runes. So try to get around 10+ kc. I always get 12, and that's worked fine for me.
  17. You mentioned geyser titan twice. Great guide, I read the first few, it'll definitely be useful if I ever need a boost for anything.
  18. It wouldn't affect you too much. My geyser titan gives me around 13k extra range exp per hour, and when I used a fire titan before, it got me around 8k magic exp an hour. It is better than nothing, and adds up after some time, but it wouldn't make this a horrible place to level all of a sudden. I get around 84k attack exp per hour, so 13k is only around 15% of my attack exp, which would be lost for you.
  19. I suppose it would be the agility obstacles which would get frustrating. When I did MEP II, I already had 71 agility, and combined with a guide I found it really easy. Though if you don't use a guide, the puzzles are pretty difficult. Only difficult part was choosing which way to put the mirrors in, becuase the tip it guide's description confused me.
  20. Yes, you could easily do fight caves with those stats. When I had lvl 70 melee stats, and 70 range, I made it to Jad easily using the range method. The hard part is actually beating Jad, getting to him is just a matter of having a good inventory so you don't run out of brews/restores. When I first attempted the fight caves, I made it to Jad with around 5 restores and 2 brews. Now I could do it with half my supplies remaining, due to my higher levels now. So, yes, you could do fight caves.
  21. It's not always 33%. I think it was something like 25% of your level plus 7 more prayer points. At lvl 72, I get 25 per dose of prayer potion. A super restore would give 26 prayer points. But like others have said, super restores are more used for their restoration combination with saradomin brews, and for summoning points. The one extra point from prayer potions will hardly help. If you have 20 super restores, it is 80 extra prayer, at a much greater cost.
  22. Only difference regarding prayer points is that it restores 1 more prayer point per dose, so 4 per full potion.
  23. viewtopic.php?f=103&t=744316 This guide shows some good equipment set ups which I used when I first started going to the saradomin boss. Since you only have 10m to use, you'd be using range unless you already have a godsword. RSOF teams generally don't accept bandos godswords, and zamorak is best as its special attack helps kill her quicker. Also, most RSOF teams seem to prefer melee over range, and some have even chosen me with a zamorak godsword with 90 melee stats over 99 rangers with good gear. But nontheless, range is an effective method, though some people think otherwise. So for 10m, a good set up would be something like... Verac's Helm Fury Accumalator Rune Crossbow Saradomin Dragonhide body Obsidian Shield/Unholy book Verac's Skirt Snakeskin boots Ring of life/Archers ring barrows gloves Ruby/diamond bolts I believe this set up is under 10m, or around that. As for the inventory, use the guide posted above, as I'm only used to an inventory with a unicorn.
  24. An excellent guide, it's short and to the point. Maybe you could suggest other combination runes to craft? Or are smoke runes the only good ones now? Also, I have a question regarding the binding necklaces. They say they work for 15 uses. Does this mean 15 runes? Or 15 crafts, as in the air runes being used on the altar is 1 use?
  25. With your excellent melee stats, the bandos and zamorak bosses should be easy. I've heard of people soloing around 2-3 a trip with sharks, as long as they get good hits in. If you use brews and restores for all the bosses, hopefully you wouldn't use too many brews on grarrdor and k'ril. With saradomin's boss, if you're good at soloing, you should use around 2 brews only, so that wouldn't be bad on your inventory at all. Though you'll need purple sweets or a terrorbird to restore energy. With armadyl, I'm not sure, though I believe 4 brews would be good for a solo, not sure at all about this. The problem I see would be your range. It's only 82, so armadyl and saradomin might take longer than if your range was 90+. So if you had a tortoise of brews/restores, and a terrorbird/purple sweets for zilyana, it shouldn't be too hard. Sounds like it wouldn't be too hard, though I guess you'll find out when you try it :P.
