  1. mrpez: Well, perhaps previous posts had contributed to it? I'm not really able to comment, as that was pretty well the only time I had looked at the thread. For the time being I'm just going to assume that the Mod knew what they were doing--they generally do. jemathonical: Who suggested it should be stickied? And it was removed from our view, so it's pretty well the same thing as being deleted.
  2. To Ouchy: It was deleted. =\ The few posts I made there aren't coming up in my recent posts. In addition, I followed a link to it, and it came up with "You are not authorized to read this forum." It seems like a bit of a rash decision assuming it was deleted. There was only really one post in there that warranted Mod action.
  3. Thanks warri0r, I'll check them out. :) I think I have a few songs by them, but I've never given them much attention. Mlb: (Recommend something to cheese, not me.)
  4. Ellen Mclain - Still Alive HAHAHAH
  5. You can't really expect someone who doesn't listen to metal to know the correct sub-genres. They're all fairly superfluous anyway. He's probably referring to metal with screamed vocals. OT: I can't really help you out too much. For getting pumped, nothing beats RATM; but that's not what you're after. If you need to get pumped for jogging or something, then Techno would be the way to go; but that's also not what you're after. For the purpose of accuracy, may I ask what you're wanting to get pumped for?
  6. Most (or all) of the posts from before the terrorist attack on TIF are like that--it has nothing to do with your computer. Just ignore those parts of it.

I've always wanted to try that. I'm just worried I'd put backspin on it, and it would come back and hit me in the face.
  8. Behold... the Arctopus would be good if they could actually play their songs live. I hate musicians who attempt things that are way beyond their reach. Lenticular, I have absolutely no idea what you're into, and Flight of the Conchords are the only comedy band I like, so that doesn't help me much. Maybe have a shot at Joe Pass. He was a great virtuoso Jazz guitarist. Really laid-back, relaxing music. As for albums to check out.. I haven't got a clue. I've only heard 2 or 3 of his albums, and they're all good. (And at Adio, thanks. You haven't recommended them to me, so I'll check them out. :))
  9. They weren't deleted. You just needed to look for them a bit. Though, I'm a bit confused about Day 5.. Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day 7 Day 8 Day 9 Day 10
  10. 2/10 Name is a tiny bit familiar..
  11. I would find that awesome, but it's sort of too far into the future for me to care..
  12. One of my friends pretends she's a Blood, and another one pretends she's a Crip. They're not very good at it. I saw the Crip one wearing a red rubber bracelet that said "Pride" on it.
  13. Before: Between the Buried and Me - Between the Buried and Me (Album) Before: Between the Buried and Me - The Silent Circus (Album) Now: Between the Buried and Me - Alaska (Album) Next: Between the Buried and Me - Colors (Album) :
  14. Not to recommend them for the 100th time or anything, but you should listen to . All I know of your musical taste is from above, and I couldn't name a band similar to them that you wouldn't already know. BTBAM are a fantastic Progressive Metalcore group. They have four studio albums out, and one cover album. I'd recommend starting with either their 2005 release, Alaska, or their 2007 release, Colors. The video I linked in is Selkies: the Endless Obsession from Alaska.
  15. Sellout... No where near as funny as the original. And it seems like it might be more suited here.
  16. 8/10 Haven't seen you for a while though. And at Ouchy, I was actually planning on keeping you at 9 forever, but I guess i must have given up and given you a 10. :)
  17. Yeah, I'm a performance major. It went really well actually. I got 93% for the performance in my trials, and I played better for the actual HSC, so I'm hoping I go well. I only expect to get around 75% for the written part of the music exam though. How'd yours go?
  18. Fair enough. Thanks, I play violin. Yeah, we got the same talk. I'm gonna be staying where I am for my gap year, but getting my AMUS in violin, and getting a bit of experience teaching. Are you going straight onto uni or taking a gap year?
  19. UAI is the University Admissions Index. It's basically just how well you did in your subjects (throughout the year and in the final exams) in relation to other students doing the same subjects. UAIs go from 1 to 100, but I think if you get 35 or under, you don't actually get one. Just think of it like a percentage. Wow, good luck with that man. So, if you don't get a high enough UAI for the IT/Law, you're not gonna do Arts for a year then try and get in based off that? As for my audition, I'll be doing them next year. I'm taking a gap year, so I just have to apply online this year, but I'm allowed to audition next year, which is good. I'm going to try ANU (Canberra) and the Conservatorium (Sydney). The Conservatorium is probably a better uni, but I'd rather get into ANU just because I have family there, and I don't hate the city, but we'll see. Where is Macquarie at, may I ask?
  20. Assuming you intended that spelling joke, I love you. I'm a pretty big fan of these bad-boys.. [hide=] Smiths Cheese & Onion Crinkle Cut[/hide]
  21. I respect you in every way possible.
