That's pretty much my opinion on the subject. I'm fine with news threads as long as some effort has been put into making them.

I'm locking this because of all the spammy replies. I also think threads like this which are guarenteed to end up with people genre bashing shouldn't be posted in the first place.

I've got no problem with it. Then again, I've only ever seen it done as metal concerts or as a joke from one metal head to another.

Get to bed earlier and have time to reflect on your day. Make plans for the future. I've been pretty stress free for quite a while now (excluding a bit of relationship foolishness) by tackling the problem before it becomes an issue. Some things you can't avoid, like the death of a relative but deadlines and such can be beaten with a bit of buckling down. If you get overwhelmed then take a holiday to sort it out. Or if it's an unsortable type of stress then just let it pass. Whatever is happening, it (probally) wont last forever.

Owned. I don't see why the police needed to take him out in the first place. Sure he was being provocative and insulting but he was doing it to a politician who should have taken it in his stride and just answered the question. No need for that whole scene.

Look people in the eyes as you are delivering your speech. This will keep their attention and I find it helps me stay on the right track. Also look good on the day. Dress like you are a somebody and you'll feel more comfortable having everyones eyes on you.

Loud enough to drown out most other noises. I normally listen to it on a flat EQ but if I'm listening to dance or R 'n' B, I'll give the bass a boost.

That makes a bit of sense. A battle between good and evil sort of thing? I can see that sounding pretty cool actually - having a really nice clean vocalist singing about Jesus being the light of the world, then ripping the song to shreds with screaming over blast beats and heavy riffing. =P~

I'd say that some of Korn's stuff is nu-metal. 'Here to Stay' is an absolute killer song. My knowledge of them is limited to their greatest hits CD by the way.

I don't think it's been said yet which is a miracle. Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne. One of the first things I learnt on my electric guitar. Still this coolest riff I know.

I haven't cut myself, but I still know to a degree what it's all about. Sure, I lack first-hand experience, but like deloria said, it's not like I have a sheltered life or anything. Cutting isn't something to show off anyway. People poke fun at it because it is arguably the biggest reason why 'emos' are disliked. Thus, the hating occurs. People who cut their wrists, arms, or any other area that shows easily are just looking for attention. I'm in the same form as a guy who cut himself all over his belly. He was doing it for attention, he did it in public (outside the Corn Exchange if anyone is familiar with Leeds) and wore the bloody t-shirt all day. Moron. One of my best mates (ex) girl-friend cut herself. It's the main reason that he left her - to the girls out there, it is not attractive or wanted, please don't.

Behemoth - Demigod. Great album, great song. It's got nothing on the Nephilm rising though, best extreme metal song I've heard.

Yeah I know. I'm just tetchy cause the whole re-union thing really drew me in the first time I heard about it. Then I heard it was just a rumour and it really crushed me, the thought of never seeing Zeppelin live. So whenever I hear about it now it seriously winds me up.

I got 70% narcassist, which quite annoyed me. Then I realised the irony of it and laughed at myself.

I gave a hug to someone with a free hugs sign a while back. My mate did as well but went through the precautions of giving me his wallet and phone. There wasn't much love in that hug.
