The flaw in the 1=2 is that you only proved that 1x = 2y, so you can only get 1=2 if you assume that x=y.. It's like circular reasoning or something. I can't explain it flawlessly, but I beleive that's the error.

First, wait until you get your new computer, then transfer all the stuff you want from your current computer to your new one. Foramatting will completely remove everything and you won't be able to get it back. Next, assuming you have your windows XP install disk, insert it, and restart, and you should be given the option to boot from it, to install it, and then delete the current partition and create a new one. It's really fairly self-explanatory if you have a shred of intelligence. There also is, I think, a guide on these boards somewhere, for reformatting.

This is seriously starting to aggravate me.. There is a folder on the desktop of my grandmother's computer that I cannot get rid of.. It has no title, double-clicking it does nothing. Delete does nothing, safe mode doesn't help. I try to go to properties [security] in safe mode and I can't even get to the properties screen..

Unfortunately this isn't directly against the rules, and I can't ask you to remove it without banning all sigs with images like that in them.. But I ask you, as a fellow artist, take the link down. Doesn't seem extremely difficult, though, to be honest.. Seeing as the compartment in the walker is similarly sized to a gamecube.. I've seen way cooler and more interesting/difficult mods before.

Crim_Namora: First, I think you should know that it's asinine to yell at spling for posting this thread when it's not a runescape suggestion. Extremely asinine. His post directly related to issues on this board. Where do you expect that he posted it? Or do you think he would've sent a pm to everyone he's seen flaming? Second, you were far more flame-ish and rude here than Spling was.

I doubt production will happen anytime soon, if ever. I think it's rather like a concept car - they just made it to prove that it could be done, and to show a cool idea.. I was thinking it'd be cool if you could do music player visualizations across it.. would be insanely draining on the system though, you'd need another computer just to control your keyboard :P

An interesting feature would be if you could sent it a picture, and it would cut-it up right and display it on the keyboard.. The problems would of course be price, durability, and power consumption, but you can't say that it wouldn't be amazing.

Cj, Phil, have you even read anything about the movie? Or did you just see the title and assume it was a remake? In fact, from what I'm to understand, it's not a remake in the slightest. It's simply a different interpretation of the book (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and supposedly is really nothing like the original movie. So why not see it before assuming it's going to suck?

Doubt it will find it's way on to everyone's computer. Supposedly it's system requirements are going to be fairly steep.

well that doesnt mean our opinion is more valid just because ours is more popular than tynnhammer's.... I never said that. I was saying that our opinion is just as valid as his. I have thus-far seen 1 request this. If lots of people requested it, the administration might be persuaded to install a mod that allows people to disable viewing of images in sigs. However, until then, or if that doesn't happen, which is likely, the user can take steps on his own not to view images. You could disable images alltogether in your browser. You could also use one of Firefox's many extensions to block individual images. The feeling is mutual, I assure you.

I do find it trivial, it seems to me more of a "my opinion is ___" "but my opinion is ___", with nobody unwilling to change their opinion regardless of what anyone else says. Not that you aren't entitled to your opinion, but, what's the point of arguing if nobody is budging either way. I'll leave this open though..see where it goes.

Ironic that you would say that, here in this discussion . . . As to why there are images in signatures.. Many people have given good reasons already. Makes the forums more interesting to view, lets you recognize people, lets artists show their talent, etc..

I am getting it at 12:01 and plan on finishing it by 5am. :) True, but think about Cedric's and Sirius' death, both with pretty-much no foreshadowing. Sirius was definitely a very prominent character. According to your logic the only people who'd die would be people nobody knew/cared about.

I have become disgusted lately with the ammount of useless drivel that goes on in off-topic. We have a chat room, I know there are other chat-rooms that people can go to. This isn't a chat-room. As to a mod's decision on locking topics. You are always free to send that moderator a private message if you you didn't understand the decision, or want more explanation. Or you can pm that mod, another mod, or an admin, if you want to complain.
