If you modeled the robot, it's very good, except for the text, which doesn't fit it at all whatsoever. If you didn't model the robot, then I don't think filter-pile/brush-piles really merit any comments.

The latest version of Adobe Photoshop costs around $700 USD. The Gimp is free. The Gimp is, I've heard, almost as good as Photoshop, especially to the casual user. You can find it here: http://www.gimp.org/

What right do you have to tell somone to "go away" ? Hulk's question was perfectly reasonable, and this is a perfectly reasonable place to ask it. By your logic, this board shouldn't even exist, because everyone should be asking their questions on official support forums. And as far as I can see, you're the only person "talking ____".

If you're suggesting we make a sticky for all buddy-sig topics, then, no. That wouldn't solve anything. Just because something annoys you, doesn't mean that the staff is going to partition it off so you can aleviate yourself of a slight inconvenience. Also, try to take a little perspective into this. There are lots of forums on the internet where your work would be looked-upon as less than dirt.

Be careful, as if you have the programs installed in the same directory, you'll very likely uninstall all versions when you uninstall one of them.

Very nice! The only thing I think you could've done better is the cloud-covering on the moon. It looks like it was sliced in half rather than being shrouded..

The confederate flag is this: It was the flag being used by the southern states that were trying to suceed from the union and start their own country. The civil war was actually more about state's rights than slavery itself. Slavery was just the key state's right's issue at the time. So, everyone associates the flag with people who are pro-slavery, and therefore racist.. So, not only are these connotations highly outdated, they're not even really right in the first place..

I was just curious as to what people here thought of the Confederate Flag. IE, would you be offended if you saw it? Somone at my school evidently had one in their front seat, a friend in my math class saw it and went on a big rant about how ridiculous that was. I tried defending it, saying that it was just the "national redneck symbol", and about 5 other kids jumped on me going "Oh yeah, there's nothing wrong with being racist and etc and etc..." As I said earlier, the Confederate Flag has just become the national symbol for the "redneck", it's no more than a fad. Like wearing John Deer trucker hats. I think it's silly to get worked-up about connotations that haven't existed really for over a hundred years. Sure, there are some people that use it as a rallying symbol for racism or what-ever, but I think those are few and far-between.

He's not using a mac. BMW, does this happen all the time, or just this time using PS? Have you tried restarting the prog/rebooting/reinstalling?

You should go for PCI-E if you want the computer to have any longevity. AGP8 will be phased-out soon. As Pyro said, at the moment there is no performance difference because no cards utilize it, but in the future there will. If you're going to be using this computer for more than a year or so you'll wish you had gotten PCI-E.

The only rappers I can think of that are/were any good were actors before they were rappers. Like, Will Smith and Mos Def..

I doubt highly that it's a photo manipulation, cutting out all the icons+labels would be an insanely huge PITA.. My guess is that it's just close laptop, take picture, set picture as desktop after some creative cropping.. Only a couple of the ones on that site are very good, most people buggered up the lighting.

It's your first try with the program, it's not worthy of ratings, comments, or criticsm. Wait until you're well-versed in the program, and then have us look at things..

I totally agree with you guys about the lines, and after looking at it with fresh eyes today, I came up with this: Took some clouds from another part of the full image and blended them in a bit. I personally like it immensely better..what do you guys think?

I'm going to say Half-Life/Half-Life 2, and Diablo II and the expan, simply for the unbelievable ammount of replay value. Diablo II is still one of the biggest action rpgs out there, and it's been out for years and years. Same with Half-Life.

The signature was borderline, but yes, it was inappropriate. We don't allow pictures of gore, and thusly don't allow reproductions of gore. We wouldn't allow a picture of a man with a black box covering things up, and thusly we won't allow a reproduction of it. Not to mention that the guy is disturbingly feminine, but.. In the future, it'd be much more helpful to you to pm an admin rather than make a topic.

He's made a program that loops continuously and the only way to stop it from looping is to press the ON button. He doesn't want the ON button to stop it. Aaah, ok, I misread the original topic..bah.
