So basically, if you have put the effort and time in getting lvl 99 in a skill, you would be embarassed about it towards other players? I would be very proud of the achievement and wear that cape with pride and dignity, knowing that any player making a remark about it, is just jealous.

No, probably not. These capes are not about respect for the amount of work and dedication put into the skill. They are about adding another goal to the game and another reason for people to goin members. That is according to JAGeX offcourse. For all other players, the capes do represent respect. But it's Jagex that's going to implement them. :)

interesting thought. It would be kinda strange to have to 'update' your cape nearly every week.

I'm so glad you defined "dry record'! Perhaps because i'm a bit older that i was thinking of something totally different. And that's a kind of record you generally don't really want to have. :) But on subject; Wow that's some pretty bad luck there.

So with the bank in and tele to lumbridge, does this mean that every player now has a free teleport to a bank? I wonder what the point of the normal lumbridge tele and the recipe from disaster chest are.

Isn't it possible to flatpack an altar? Then just buy it from other players and place it in your chapel?

Are you sure you didn't kill that one already and that you need to kill one of the other 5? Otherwise log out, switch worlds and log back in again. Hopefully that will help.

Why do you want to go there anyway? Just get the d dagger or long from other players :)

Max hit means nothing. It's about average damage in time and the possibiltiy in knocking your opponent out. Apart from causing damage, the three combat classes require different strategies to use succesfull. How do you compare a normal mage to an ancient mage? Normal can TB, entangle and then god spell, while the ancient can freeze and hit multiple targets.

Perhaps you click too fast, too often. Clicking too often results in more lag, and more lag probably makes the first hit harder to get.

I would buy arrows from other players. You'll need lots and lots of arrows for 90 ranged and it's way easier to just buy them for a fixed price and all in one go.

Try it out. Iron knives have the possibility of being faster, that is if you don't hit a lot of zeros. You are trying to reach 99 ranged on blue dragons, so you'll be at it for a long time. Just get 1k steel arrows and 1k iron knives and start measuring kill time. Then do the best method all the way.

Nothing beats harpy bug swarms. THey seem to drop fire runes near 60-70% of the time and they only have like 25 HP with hardly any def. So you can kill LOTS in a very small amount of time. Sure, fire giants drop more runes per drop, but their drop rate for runes is way smaller than bug swarms and fire giants are much slower to kill and respawn.

Tell me, how do you make a bow or crossbow out of a rock? Rocks generally don't flex that well.

It sounds really great! And lvl 61 for protect form melee gives me a reason to train prayer again. lvl 43 is too easy anyway for those very powerful protect prayers. If this update would come, f2pers seem most disadvantaged. Getting 61 pray in f2p is an awesome achievement. Could this also mean the end of protection prayers in f2p wildy?

Me too. I think this month looks kinda mediocre. I like that they're redoing old stuff, but there's no big special update in August. As Jagex stated, august is the time for hollidays :P

If only the new talk NPC spell could contact ilfeen. Recharging without having to go to the elven lands would be great.

I suspect some kind of crossbow range equivalent to the bow series. As you need 50 ranged for a magic bow, you will need 50 range for a rune crossbow. Anyways, those "magic" bolts sound very interesting! What could they do?

I'm partly a powerplayer and mostly focussed on the combat angle of the game. All non combat skills only exist for getting money, so you can get better training and better stuff for combat.

Why on earth did you train on long range anyway? You had to knew it gives def exp. But that 4 def isn't going to break your character. You still need some skill in pking, so use that and you'll be fine. Since you're a ranged/magic hybrid, possibly even get 20 def for mystics?
