Nice start, looking forward to the whole thing. :D But as i said before i don't think the music goes too well.

I really doubt that Rares, whips, barrows items and other items will be affected by the GE. Personally I think the biggest effect will be on raw materials and finished products. Herblore items will be a lot easier to get hold of and sell as finished products for example. Same with other skills. There will be an opening for many new items like specialist food etc. too. I think it will have a positive effect on the economy, but maybe not at first.

Oh YEAH. I remember the Scholastic advertisments for RuneScape \ Haha. Old school, that was like 4-5 years ago :D Omg and i'm still playing. :uhh:

Almost all updates this year have had positive effects for me; GOOD Clan Chat Very useful, also makes your 'scaping experience more fun if your in the right chats, while your doing something boring and repetetive. New Prayers Good for the majority of players, improved max hits and accuracy. Quests Can't think of many but umm.. Dream Mentor was good. Lunar spellbook needed expanding imo. Assist System Very useful for people who need raw materials transformed, and ofcourse the other person gets the EXP. They made this update very wisely so that it wasn't over or underused i think. Barbarian Assault No other mini-game like it, very creative, fun for some, some just want the achievement at the end of it. Great looking body which saves you 50k if you die in the wilderness. \ God Wars Dungeon Ain't been down there yet because i wasn't around when this update came, but the Godswords are a positive update aslong as they stay at a high price, if they get quite low PvP combat will be overpowered by Melee. Halloween Event Compared to some of the previous Holiday items it was a good looking one, not very creative.. but then we chose it! :D The emote is nice though, overall nice update :) PC?? I thought this was late 2006? :o Anyways... overall i think it's positive, ofcourse like everyone i liked the easy training. But there is more to explore in RuneScape, fighting different monsters and it's deffinately improved the popularity of Slayer again, which prevents bad prices on new Slayer items. (Good imo) Duel Tournaments & Staking Changes Duel Tournaments - Great fun, although it costs a bit, if you win you get a lot more back from it. Encourages using some of your best gear for good fun and rankings. Though it's not very good for lower players, but there has been a lot of lower-aimed updates recently, we deserved one. Staking Changes - I can see it from both sides, doesn't affect me much, and i personally see it coming out in the end as a positive change. I think staking isn't a good way to play the game, it becomes the only thrill for some 'scapers and they end up being addicted to staking. I can see it also possibly encouraging real life gambling, but I won't go into that. I see the staking change being a positive change after people have forgotten about it and started to live with the fact it's gone. So there's my views on 2007. Not a bad year for updates at all IMO. :) Looking forward to the year ahead, the Summoning skill and "The biggest update since RS2" - If summoning isn't that.. : #aB05.

Use the Searc... Actually forget it it's useful. Yes, it improves MONSTER drops. Doesn't improve your chances at Barrows though.

I know, Jagex never said "Possibly the biggest update since RS2!!" before for new Skills, it's either gonna be a skill with many varieties and possibilities, a complete let-down or maybe it's not even what Jagex were talking about when they previously said about something huge on the horizon... Let's wait and see. : I'm looking forward to it, just hoping it won't be a let down. I like Hunter quite a bit though, it's just low on my priorities for training. :P Rofl, i really hope the skill will be more complex and have more activities than that. Otherwise the Rants board might get system failure.

I don't think Summoning is "Possibly the biggest update RS2 has seen!" - Jagex I think they are still yet to release some information on the "possibly biggest update since RS2" But, if it is Summoning, what a let down IMO. Although I will probably enjoy the skill, I don't see it being the biggest release ever.

I personally think Jagex have done a good job of improving Runescape over the last few years, there are always going to be ranters. I really don't think Staking was ever a good thing on Runescape. Leaves a lot of people unhappy and it ends up being their only thrill on Runescape, very addictive and turns them into sore losers and angry people. There are my views.

When will people realise that the Wilderness is a place where anything legal (by Jagex) goes. It's a place to kill and be killed, and a lot of people care more about Pixels than Honour, face it, or do something else.

Way back when i just started getting into PKing when i was F2P at about 60 combat. I fought someone just east of the graveyard green dragons in the bunch of trees, his name was Evilknight 2. He killed me, i returned to see him and he kindly gave me my stuff back, we got chatting and he's now my best 'internet' friend on Runescape :) Anyway, about half a year ago i was soloing in mystic around high edgeville and green dragons, and someone in ahrims, fury, fire cape (the workzz) came and started barraging me, as he spec'd me to death i right clicked him, his name was Evil Knihgt and i was stood in almost the exact same spot i was when i met Evilknight 2. Pretty spooky i'd say.

Agree with most of what you said, I personally am just going to wait til it comes out though :D Cant be bothered with pondering on what it's going to be like, i'll just see in two weeks.
