Yes it should in my opinion, but whether it will actually happen is another thing altogether. Personally, I think the best compromise are electrical cigarettes.

When I used to play HD on my brother's laptop it used to heat up a lot too, speedfan often gave me temperatures of 70-80C. I believe the problem was that it had integrated graphics (Intel GMA 945G 225MB iirc), and that combined with it being a laptop makes it get to higher temperatures. The only viable solution was either to turn all settings off and play with the small screen, or just play on SD. (Before anyone asks, the laptop still works fine :P) Anyway, if your fan is making a lot of noise, you may want to open it up and blow away the dust with compressed air/a grounded vacuum. I suspect Clare or someone will post with more details, I've only ever done it once so I don't know a great deal about it.

Most GAME shops in the UK have a copy if that's where you live. If you can't find it though, you can always get it on steam, since you need it to play the games anyway. (I'm assuming you're after the PC version.)

Gighertz themselves are misleading. Eggz put it the best way, the newer ones are more efficient, mainly because the design has improved. Here's an odd analogy: Think of 2 cars driving have a race down muddy road, one old, one new. The older car has a bigger engine and can go slightly faster but only has 2 wheel drive. The newer one by comparison, has a slightly smaller engine and 4 wheel drive. Which would you put your money on winning first? ;) As for the gpu, assuming you're on windows, go to run and type 'dxdiag'. Click on the display tab, and that will tell you what graphics card you have.

*Sigh* Need I also mention that pidgin is a multi-os open source program that supports many different IM protocols including MSNM? It's not laziness, it's just one of the reasons why I don't use live messenger.

Yes, it's another extremely addictive and time consuming flash game. It's a physics game where you have to build a contraption using a few select parts to propel a piece into a goal. Sounds simple, but some of the puzzles can look extremely challenging at first and can have many clever solutions to them. You build a robot which you can control to complete certain tasks (moving balls from one pit to another for example). Again, this one has many different solutions to it. Incredibots link

I dislike live messenger, I've been using pidgin for a while now and personally I thnk it's a lot less bloated and a lot better than live.
