  2. Shweet! I want a slave please! (May i be put in the drawing?) I'll be a nice master, i wont put you in a cage mining or what not far away from me. You'll have fun talking to me drone (me talk, you listen, we "chat"), dragging you fun places (wildy, um, boring place), you'll maybe follow me around having FUN crafting nats Weee!! Swell time eh?
  3. Jagex likes things to be simple for new users. May i suggest an option to set your bank this way? But it should start the normal way.
  4. Tis a shame. I agree the community is the essence of the game. There are very few efforts to continue it. I wish the best of like you find one before you quick. I was extremely lucky and have met upon a group of very good nice people. Communities are no longer presented, they have to be made now. My tip would be to find a friend or two you know very well as a friend, talk to them about them, and then they introduce one of their best friends. Choose only the best. Not statwise, person-wise. Then the group spreads on. Occasionaly fun meetings, such as trawler or merely grouping up to chatter (Rogues den is great for this, or fishing if you're in an odd bunch who enjoy it) Nice read, Thanks!!
  5. .swf are flash. They're designed to be hard to download. I believe there are extensions for firefox to download them. Here's one although i havnt tried it: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/ It says it can download ones from youtube. And youtube is embedded flash so i suppose that works... Well: Actually, they're not designed to be hard to download. But alot of sights embed video into flash which makes it harder to download.
  6. RARW CHRONO TRIGGER :):) Man, you know a real game :-) I hope Wii has some new gameplay orientated games though. Non of that graphics roolz crap. I want gameplay not only graphics...That's why i play Chrono :-)
  7. If i understand the 'problem' right your options are: 1: buying a special graphics card cooler. It'll run you 60 USD 2: It's not a problem. If i understand right it's normal. It's same for me. It's just your graphics card is under stress during games so it turns up the graphics card fan. My ATI X1900XT 256mb has a tiny fan, so when it turns it on it's LOUD since it needs to spin fast.
  8. Hopefully you're just using the trial of norton. Consider using AVG Free along with Zone Alarm paid firewall.
  9. Err...If you're still having problems pm mee the link for the 'unzipped' version and i'll pm you for zippeed or .rar
  10. Skype, but then also run Trillian most since few friends use skype. There's no argueing unless you're on a slower computer that Trillian pwns AIM, MSN, and Yahoo. Afterall, it is them all :-) I love being able to get past all the messenging problem where a friend uses AIM and another MSN. And, trillian is much safer.
  11. Well. That's pretty much down in the first bit. You can't choose what now for a comp in a year. At the moment A core 2 duo would be best (assuming you're going for a gaming computer with at least a 1,600 USD budget) However there's no telling what the future holds and if AMD will spring back. They were afterall better beforehand and only recently Intel pwned them. I somewhat stupidly got AM2 recently, but I don't think it's all that bad (I had silly loyalty ideas. But heh...i like my loyalty). I've money for upgrades once the next gen AM2 come out :-)
  12. If you're buying new get it. If you're buying off fleabay/amazonian Warrior you'd get more then a 30 dollar difference so it might not be worth it.]
  13. It could be bad ram. That'd be good seeing as ram is usually insured for life by reputable ram sellers. I'm not sure how to tell though which it would be. It'd be hard without going to your computer.
  14. OEM for XP i think was 94 or 84 dollars. (http://www.newegg.com) I wouldnt get it (unless you're getting one of them anyway, in that case it'd be a more borderline decisson). It's a meak 'upgrade' considering the cons. 84 dollars could be better spent most likely, depending on your rig.
  15. Except for some sort of undercover intel-microsoft weird patch a friend claims, remember that the standard 32bit version of Windows only can support up to 3.2gigs of ram. You can run 4gigs but wont get more then 3.2 I wouldn't really recommend more then 2gigs unless you really need it. At least for now. Sell it while the prices are high if you happen to have two gigs. You can get ALOT for quality 1*2 DDR2
  16. Try Killbit by Merjin (creator of lovely Hijack-This. Google it? His url ISNT Merljin.org anymore if i recall) if it's the keys that are not functioning. Then you can try just using the killbit shortcut on desktop. Yes, alas only a bandaid but maybe it'll lead clues to the problem.
  17. We being the royal lineage :)? Is it gray, or is it white? There's a distinction I'm pretty sure. as we've seen others mentioning gray is easily solved by a minimizing maximizing although i suppose the more mature users here could explain why it happens too.
  18. Make sure you research a little about ram. I don't know much i never needed to look into it but the glimpse i got was that not all ram fits together :) More then just the simple dual slot cards same type but also some latency speed jazz i never looked into.
  19. Lol @ Recent documents :) And thanks...I've always wondered what caused that. Occasionally it happened and i sort of did nothing till magic happened. I use OpenOffice.org now (absolutely brilliant 100% recommended :P) though..
  20. (Zondas a lil touchy s'all. He can be alright though when he's not proven wrong) I don't think the arguement was pointless. For instance, i learned something- thanks!
  21. Don't let the seemingly daunting task get to you :) I had no idea, and am still somewhat clueless overall. However, by researching and reading a view guides i managed to put together my comp :-) Easy peasy! Honestly i was shocked how easy it was while i did it systematically. There are a few precautions though you'll need to read about. And there is a little work reading your mobo manual beforehand. In the end it's definetly worth it and was really happy so many people hounded at me to build not buy. However, i don't know if aussies have any individual parts sellers. In US it's *DEFINETLY* worth it, but i wouldn't know how easy it is to get the parts in Roo'land [i can't say say Aus**** because I'm jealous you live there. Really want to go there] :-)
  22. It's called symatic-something[Caution: ExecutableFile] eh? It probably is updating or something. It's a hog meh. Only those people with flashy computers come up and say 'Oh, i never have a problem' simply because they have an excessive computer. I didnt recommend Norton for many reasons. It also used to be nearly impossible to unistall (when i tried it. I imagine it's still the same. There were remmanents abound and I had to use a special norton remover i found i believe [memory a tad flaky].)
  23. This is such a nice pleasent discussion \
  24. I'm not quite wrong [Afterall I never said it didnt...Ok- I'm sort of wrong- in a way), I was under the impression too thats how it works. I had never checked however so just in case thought you might want to check. Sorry for making it more confusing :( As for the SLI crossfire a mobo can have SLI support and still run ATI. Mine does.
