I think the only bonuses it gives is +15% to att and strength. So no, your max hit with ranged won't be increased.

I'm the type of person that collects things myself. for example, I'd kill dagganoths for herb seeds. grow the herbs and then make the pots, and use them. I rarely sell my products.
