I thought the whole magic weapon vs spell relationship can now be viewed via the in game equipment screen now. But basic jist is, the level of the spell does not usually, dictate the level of damage it will do, each tier of spells (with some exceptions) will do more damage as you level until you reach a certain cap, which is based on their inherent maximum spell damage. For example, all 4 blast spells will do the same damage, with its damage capping out at t70, wave at t80 and surge at t90. Ancients are the major exception to this rule iirc.

A full set of unrepaired torva and drygores are worth 1.35b, yeah... knew there was a catch to my 2.8b bank....

That is the reason why i have been leveling my toons with the 50% xp bonus at the moment, it'll be easier as Barbarian to get a few Legendary strength shield drops than it probably would be for a mage to get a blue strength shield... Already finished Demon Hunter too. You can also get from 1-60 in 1 single playthrough, but I had to use higher difficulty level (higher than hard) and a Signet of Leoric to do that. Having higher paragon level (with levels in the primary stats) helping quite a bit.
-
Probably also to do with the fact that salamanders do not need any quests to wield (unlike Crystal Bow) or repair cost (Unlike Karil's 2h xbow) or a lot of money (unlike Karil's dual xbow).

The legendary drop rates seems to have been improved, I had got 4-5 pieces of legendary upgrades since 2.0.1 patch, where before I'd be lucky to have 1 upgrade. The mobs seems to have been scaled a lot better than before. Also, potions are much more useful now.

Is it just me missing something or has Blizz removed every and all forms of trading between players with the latest patch? (Gold being untradeable and all Lengendary and Sets are Bind on Account).

Members only Heist is here - a multiplayer minigame where robbers must make away with loot, while guards do their best to consign them to the slammer. Don disguises to get your hands on the swag, or follow your hunches to unmask sneaky crooks. Make your escape or pursuit across procedurally generated environments themed after iconic RuneScape locations. Rewards include a range of perks, helping you lay down the law or pull off more daring capers, as well as bonus XP in Hunter and Thieving. Read on for more information, or log in and head north of Falador to jump straight in! Casing the JointClimb up the airship ladder just north of Falador. You'll be given the option to join a public game, start up a private game, or to join a private game already in effect. To join a private game you'll need the name of the player hosting it, and - if applicable - the entry key they've set for it. Once you're in the lobby area, head north to queue as a guard and south to queue as robber. Here, you can chat to Sir Vyvin or Liara - the leaders of the two sides - to get more information, browse rewards or try out the tutorial. The game will begin when there are 2-5 players on each side. Before the game starts, players will be able to vote on which map theme they'd prefer - including the Canifis option selected in our recent poll! Breaking InHeist takes place on maps populated by crowds of NPCs. The aim of the game for the robbers is to steal bags of loot from the bank and return it to their start point, while the guards' objective is to stop them. Robbers can click on any NPC on the map to adopt their appearance as a disguise. Use this ability to blend into the crowd, creep closer to the bank and make away with the loot! To counter this, guards have the ability to accuse anyone on the map whom they believe to be a robber. To do this, simply click on your suspect. If the guard's accusation is correct, the robber will lose their disguise and most of their run energy. Then, the chase is on - guards have a brief opportunity to catch the revealed robber and handcuff them, which - if successful - will leave them incapacitated for a time. If the accusation is false, though, the citizen won't be happy. Too many mistakes will get a guard thrown in jail by Internal Affairs to cool off for a while. If a robber is handcuffed twice, they'll be locked up in jail. Unless they can escape within one minute, they'll be turned into a guard and set against their former cohorts for the rest of the game. The game ends when one of the following conditions is met: The robbers deposit twice as many bags of loot as there are members of their team (robbers win). Note that if a robber logs out or otherwise leaves the game, the total loot required to win is not reduced.Every robber is turned into a guard (guards win).20 minutes pass (guards win).Tricks of the TradeHeist is simple to play, but it requires skill, cunning and a keen eye. The best robbers will be able to mimic citizens to fool the guards, while the most successful guards will be the ones who can spot suspicious behaviour a mile off. Teamwork's also important. Sharing information and working with your teammates to accomplish your goals is a path to success. Robbers can also pickpocket guards for jail keys, which they can use to spring their teammates from jail, or to free themselves. Each map is uniquely laid out, and much of the scenery can be used. Hide in hay carts (or give them a good poke!) and clamber up the side of buildings for amazing rooftop chases. Depending on the theme of the map, there may be special features, too. The citizens will sometimes need assistance. If you see someone asking for help, you can fulfil their request for a reward - a bag of loot for a robber, or eyewitness information for a guard. These are just the basics - every game of Heist is different, and the best way to learn it is to try it out. Gather some friends, pick a side and start devising your own strategies! SwagPlaying Heist earns you reward points, which can be exchanged by right-clicking Sir Vyvin or Liara and selecting 'Rewards'. If you're on the winning side, you'll also earn win points, which can be turned in for extra reward points. Most of the rewards on offer are helpful perks that'll improve your performance in Heist. Each of these is specific to one of the two sides. For example, for playing as a guard, you can unlock the ability to deploy security sensors, or earn access to a Wanted board that shows you the current disguises of players on the robbers' team. Robbers' perks include the ability to throw smoke bombs, or to smuggle a shovel into jail to make your escape! Reward points can also be spent on hearty helpings of bonus XP in Hunter or Thieving. Enjoy! We hope you enjoy Heist as we do. It's already a huge hit here in the office and - most importantly - it creates great stories. Be sure to get on the forums and tell us all about your daring escapes, your eagle-eyed police work, and - of course - your most spectacular failures! Have fun, and be sure to give us your feedback. Mod Chris L and the RuneScape Team How to start Heist: Climb the airship ladder just north of Falador. Speak to Sir Vyvin or Liara for more information. Requirements: You must be a RuneScape member. Do the Bonus XP from the BXPW count toward earning respect with artisans? EG. it is normally 10k base xp for 1% respect, during the BXPW, the base xp becomes 20k, would I earn 1% or 2% respect?

Unicows that are suggested is easy to the point where I doubt anyone could take any damage from. But it may involve getting Ardy cape (perhaps at least 3?)

If wasd movement was to work, it must either have a fixed camera that cannot be rotated, or one that has fixed orientation with respect to your character (EG over the shoulder, over the head, chase cam, etc), or else wasd will simply confuse the hell out of ordinary players who are not used to wasd movements. Eitherway, my problem with wasd movement is that wasd movement tends to work better for 'smooth' games (like WOW where you can move anywhere you want) rather than 'stutter' games (ie ones that fixes your movement into grids, where you must move one grid into the next), not to mention the camera sudden turns will feel odd at best, nauseating at worst. My take on Legacy is that while it changes game play for those who crave pre-eoc combat, but don't want to play 2007, is that the two systems of combat, especially when you take post eoc bosses into account, are FAR too different from each other to integrate them into one single gameplay. EG taunting in KK would not work unless you completely change the mechanics of how it targets, just for the legacy players. Giving them abilities to deal with this particular issue completely and utterly defeats the purpose of the legacy mode in the first place. It would have been far easier, and yield better results, by introducing servers that has pre-eoc combat and is completely seperate from eoc servers, while bosses that are designed exclusively for eoc remains on eoc servers. It would also take less effort on jagex's part since it would at least only involve recycling old code and not having to integrate the two different combat systems onto the same server (and avoiding the dreaded job of balancing the two).

i just received my first incidence of the bug, got an adv reroll, but it didn't add to my stockpile, guess this might be a downward spiral... -
QBD had her defences buffed a while back, it is not uncommon for Drygore in general to miss somewhat frequently. It is also pretty common that you run 1 qbd where you can't hit if your life depended on it, and the next you plow through her as if her defences suddenly dissappeared.

Or leave them until later zones where you get better crews. -
Longs are also better at Overrides, plenty of good looking longswords but next to no maces or rapiers.

I dont think the issue is because crew upgrade over time (you gain the upgrades of a hull/ship part immediately, while crews you'll have to train them, which in the case of loop they don't yield any stat benefit, until level 8, before which you actually have a downgrade), but if you compare the cost of terracotta with the cost of the crews, the net result of the upgrade by going with the crew is higher than that of any ship part. For example, a set of Loop cannons (Overwhelmingly Large Cannons) cost 3500 terracotta, a normal loop crew costs 750, which is approximately 5:1 ratio. A set of cannons offer an upgrade of 800 stat points, while a loop crew at level 10 offers around 600 points of upgrade. So from cost of upgrade point of view, crews are decidedly cheaper. Doesn't come without a cost though, as I have mentioned, the crews do not offer any upgrade until level 8, before which is an actual downgrade compared to a level 10 pincer crew (this point is rather moot if your crew in question is not level 10 pincer crew), so you'll have increased chances of fails (which leads to your crew not leveling). Also most crews would eventually get replaced in Shield, while the loop ship parts (except for the rudder) are all end game ship upgrades (best combat deck upgrade, best SF hull upgrade, and best morale/sf figurehead upgrade), so these ship parts are going to be on your upgrade list regardless of what you do. -

Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning. Just started, doesn't look half bad, though the layout could have fooled anyone into thinking that this is an MMORPG
