  1. I like how Mod Etch is a concept artist. Etch ' n Sketch away! Thanks for sharing this,
  2. I'm pretty sure that when membership lapses, Jagex chooses a time when they remove a number of those lapsed usernames from the highscores. This is most likely a large factor in the membership drops you see on the graph.
  3. A friend of mine in our clan was telling me this, except he told me the story was with a BB Gun. I couldn't figure out why the individual being held-up at gunpoint with a BB Gun didn't fight back. This makes a bit more sense if he felt it was a real gun. Rather pathetic that people get robbed over their "magic coins" that they love so, so much... ;) Also, to the crazy fellow posting prior to myself; have you never gone hunting, shot skeets, or defended property from predatorial animals? pulli23 Say what??? Those animals have all the right to be there, you don't shoot them simply because they come to your "property". Wild animals are scared from humans, they only go to humans if it is their last option to survive & find food. You ought to blame your neighbourhood for YOU destroying their hunting grounds. hunting on its own for "fun" isn't humane at all & should actually be a crime (which in civilized countries it is), same for ANYTHING real gun related. Only professionals should work with weaponry; and they should be constantly screened & only use the weaponry in their professional environment. (And never should act alone to always keep a peer reviewing actions). You're calling me "crazy" for actually wishing other countries became as sensible as most european countries finally did in the last 30 years? I guess you're still gloryfying the cowboys as bringers of freedom? Sorry, but predatorial animals killing livestock (which are the source of income and a means to feed the country as well as the homesteaders) do not belong. Due to the lack of trapping in this day and age, they have become over-populated and diseased (most commonly with mange). Similar problems have occurred with the varied species of deer as well as the elk populations, and have in turn increased disease potential (tuberculosis) and have hurt the other surrounding wildlife. In this area the hunting ground of the predatorial animals have not been destroyed, so I'm unsure where you hope your assumptions to lead you. There are actually a large number of areas set aside that are left untouched. I also didn't mention hunting being for its own "fun" as you are once again assuming. Around here people go hunting so they can put food on the table and provide for their families, whilst helping to control animal populations. You must realize that when populations are allowed to grow to extreme levels and become rampant, as well as overcomed with diease, the government has no choice but to perform mercy kills (in which no consumable resources, edible or otherwise are gained). This is a very expensive task, and is the main reason why governmental bodies cannot be hired to control predatorial attacks all throughout a country, especially countries as extensive as Canada and the United States. This would simply be a step in the wrong direction, as any knowledge about the area shows. This has already been attempted with Conservation Officers, who will attempt to trap/kill problem animals, but then the livestock owner must also be re-imbursed for losses, which can be quite substantial when predatorial animals get free range for any period of time. This is why the public have these privledges. It saves everyone time, money, and heart-ache. I was calling you crazy for irrationally condeming all gun owners to a poorly thought-out and apparently uneducated decision. A case of condeming everyone for the actions of few. Ironically those who make such choices always seem to be condemed themselves in the eye of the many. I'm unsure whether this is a problem of not having all of the facts, or simply ignoring the facts in order to make a view seem like the only potential course of action, but this thread is not the place for it. There is however one, if not multiple gun-related topics on the Off-Topic section of the forums. Posting there may be a better choice; for future reference of course.
  4. I'll just name the past 3 movies I saw in theatres. The Amazing Spiderman - The new spiderman does a much better job than Toby did, in my opinion. I like that this Spiderman is a bit more comical and cocky, and how the storyline of the movie played out. It was quite predictable, but not in a horrible way. 9/10 The Dark Knight Rises - I had been awaiting this film, and have to say I was not disappointed. The storyline, albeit predictable did have a piece that caught me entirely off-guard, which I enjoyed greatly. If not for the performance by Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight, I would have rated this the best of the trilogy. Regardless, it was a good movie, that of course left an opening for a future split. 10/10 Total Recall - A bit too predictable for my liking. The storyline felt rushed, but maybe that was just me. I personally was somewhat bored during this movie, and I even watched it in a nicer theatre than I usually visit. It just wasn't my cup of tea. 6/10

    Live Concerts

Went and saw the Shinedown concert a couple weeks ago with a couple girls. Going to snag some Red Hot Chili Peppers tickets for this November, and maybe go see April Wine in November as well. The last concert I caught prior to Shinedown was Pearl Jam last September, which was quite amazing. They were right up there with Metallica in terms of pleasing the audience. As for Shinedown, they played at a small venue, allowing everyone to get up close an personal. Vocals were superb, which was expected, as the prior time I saw them, my mind was blown at the lead singers vocal range and strength. Actually, come to think of it, I may go see The Autopilots (gf's brothers band) next weekend.
  6. As said, it's personal preference. I like my consoles for a variety of games, and then I like my PC for a number of other games. It's a never ending battle if you're trying to throw up and down positives and negatives in a discussion such as this. They both have their positives and negatives, that's why they're both popular choices. Personally, I see more simplicity in console gaming in terms of setting up parties, and matches. I can also lounge around the room much more easily with console gaming. With PC gaming, I enjoy what a higher end PC can bring to the table in terms of gaming. The small steps in graphical enhancement and the ability for the community to so vastly mod a PC version of a game is what appeals to me.
  7. Looks interesting, and it's a Sunday rather than a busy day of the weekend, so I may even make it! Congratulations on 1000 subscribers!
  8. Initially I started Runescape and was hired by a member to grab zammy wines, and resell to them. Once I built a cashpile I began to buy essence off F2P players, and resell it to members (this made me 10's of millions back in 2006). I simply then worked up to merchanting rares and massive big bone/yew log stacks in F2P. In terms of training (I was a 1 def mage at the time), I would buy bars, smith them into platebodies, and then proceed to alch the platebodies. I also took under tasks such as self-gathering 1k+ stacks of each log, ore, fish, etc. Another interesting one was mining enough coal to buy a santa from purely coal when they were 20M (even though I could have bought multiples with cash). Nowadays I rarely train, but when I did train mining, from 80 onwards I've only trained it via star mining (sandstone was also included upon its release). Nothing else really comes to mind, though if I could access some of my old screenshots, I'm sure my memory could be jogged. Nice thread.
  9. At home I can never load the RS homepage, however here at work it loads. Although, as of late it has been having some issues that cause loading to take up to 15 seconds.
  10. Herb runs, dailies, and flipping for the cash. As said, avoid the bonecrusher. Prayer is dirt cheap nowadays as it is.
  11. Flip items as well as completing dailies & herb runs. Also, training your unbalanced stats might help in the long-run with quick cash during content releases. Elsewise, stats aren't really much of a moneymaker.
  12. Any idea if the new penguin is a weekly part of the D&D, or if Jagex mistakenly made it a daily?
  13. My girlfriend on the right, and our friend on the left at a cousin's party. Screwing around. Drinking in the yard after the rodeo, before the girlfriends brother and his band played at the social. (July) Girlfriend and myself as guests at her cousin's wedding at the end of July. Please replace my two currently indexed pictures with Picture #1 and Picture #4 of this set. Thank You.
  14. Shower at least once per day. Shave/Manscape prior to events. Generally just before every weekend. Head & Shoulders Shampoo (one of the better quality, low cost shampoos out there) Crest Whitening Expressions (Cinnamon) Toothpaste Edge Ampt Atomic Shaving Gel & Gillette Fusion Pro Glide Razor (I don't use aftershave, as my shaving gel leaves me smelling like peppermint.) Aqua Di Gio Giorgio Armani Cologne Deoderant Brand Varies (I generally like a more feminine deoderant smell (AXE), and a more masculine cologne.) I workout on a daily basis within my home gym. I've never been a fan of daily running/walking, so I try to swim or play basketball regularly as a replacement. Workout time is often 1-2hrs, dependant on my schedule for the day. My job is also quite physically demanding, so I am ensured a workout on a daily basis. In terms of eating, I have lived my life on an organic beef farm, so almost everything I consume is organic. I have no real vices in regards to sweets, fruits being the most sugar-filled foods I consume on a weekly basis. However, when I eat, it is always in extremely large portions. This is why I try to stay away from unhealthy foods, because if I do eat them, it will also be in large portions. Thankfully my metabolism has always been at my side thus far, and my weight only seems to increase with muscle addition from workouts. That's all I can really think in terms of hygiene. I guess it might be interesting that I wash my hands, but never, ever use hand sanitizer. I feel that killing all the germs on my hand doesn't help my immune system, and in turn I've noticed I rarely get sick.
  15. Welcome, SwiftKit Crew!
  16. I like the woman screaming to the sky on the far right.
  17. I'd just like to add an important little fact about the Pendant of Runecrafting for any guide (Runecrafting Guide) it is used in at a future date. When in Runespan, if you help out the lost wizard by offering him the runes he desires (or doesn't), you will gain double the reward experience. Thanks

    Rebooting Runescape

Yeah, I was basically thinking of systems implemented to games or areas similar to the MA system. Desireable rewards could also be added to MA (sadly MA isn't very enjoyable though). The implementation of the junk payment system for more widely used mini-games/areas seems to be the better option. Thanks for the feedback, I forgot about this.
  19. Mod Bro shit on my doormat. I conveniently re-sold it to him in a "bawx of chocolates". The extent of Jagex's updates this year has made me quite glad that I still only play Runescape for the ability to speak with old friends. It's both saddening and expected to see Jagex go down this path. My real problem with this is how little Jagex will listen to those players who still play Runescape attentively, and have a problem with their latest RWT'ing.
  20. I hope these are of some help. I frequent them very often. Clan Name: Nex and SS Chat: Nex n SS Forums: "Nex and SS Status Thread" on the RSOF Quick find code: 17-18-125-63890638 Homeworld: N/A Service offered: Price guides for all nex items, spirit shields, and glacor boots. Clan Name: Clan Quark Chat: R Quark Forums: "R Quark (Rare Quark) FC" Quick find code: 90-91-214-63789525 Homeworld: N/A Service offered: Most Recent B/S prices on all discontinued items. (Fish Mask isn't considered discontinued.)
  21. After seeing concern with Glacor boot stats - some information was gathered on them. Mod Pi mentioned a similar statement to Mod Chris L. There was also concern when spirit shields weren't initially buyable in shops within he beta, and the lack of their special ability. Word from a general within Mod Pi's fc was that spirit shields were going to have new abilities, spectra - low end magic, arcane - magic, elysian - range, and divine - melee. After I questioned Mod Pi on this, he had to leave without giving an answer. I went to question Mod Chris L, and it turned into a barrage of questions within his FC. He ended up going offline without answering - mentioning he was going to bed and the ss code would be implemented. Mod Chris L later returned when he found that the code did not give the spirit shields their desired abilities, and was further barraged with questions. He said these few words before going to "pk on his choob account". Slightly cryptic, but hopefully answers some questions.
  22. I thought that, but only to very low Defence ones (ie; 1). However, I'm sure there will be some reasoning to this, maybe this hidden thing (including something truly amazing that weve been keeping as a surprise) is some sort of item that changes or adds benefits depending on your actual levels, so it'd be different for each players account (unless they have the same stats). Also, I think maybe the way they'll counter what I've said at the beginning, is by having life-point boosting armours, all require certain levels, give good bonuses. Example: Level 102 maxed pure with Iron Armour will have maybe 100 added life points. Where as say an average player with say 50 average stats will be able to wear Granite with a guess of 500 added life points. This is just completely something I've thought off the top of my head, so it probably won't be right at all lol. Provided I read this correctly, I agree. I can see HP only giving our base 990 boost at max (which will be next to nothing come the update), and Defence being the requirement for higher LP boost armours. The boost will more likely than not be of a significant value, causing accounts with low Defence to suffer a great disadvantage. However, with the limited information, things could go in any direction. Maybe Runescape will still be more offense based, however I believe Defence will reign supreme in the future. That doesn't say Jagex won't release some items that would benefit low Defence characters when fighting vs high Defence characters. It's too early to tell for certain.
