  2. I think the main point is to reduce max hit, not to reduce overall damage. This reduces KO potential while still maintaining the overall DPS of the weapons, which I think is actually a pretty fair solution. 50 -> 41 is actually a very large reduction from a pvp perspective. Obviously nowhere near divine, but still quite significant. I have yet to do the detailed math but I think a ~30% overall soak would probably be comparable to, if not better than, ely.

  4. your killrates and kill orders will be VERY messed up because your spawns won't be timed well. i would do at least 800 pop world... otherwise you'll get a very distorted sense of the pace of cannoning
  5. td's are in multi and their mechanics are different. So you don't even have to be in combat with more than 1 monster for it to be different? afaik as long as its multi its different, but not sure about that but anyway td shields have some weird mechanism
  6. rex is positive (probably like 10 gp/xp gained); lobs are expensive (~10gp/xp?) but give you summ xp too rex xp is somewhere around 50-100K xp/hr; lobs are 150K+xp/hr
  7. test it yourself; the testing would take a long time and i don't see a need to test it in addition to my personal experience since i'm already pretty certain. there is no point to arguing this - if you are so eager to prove me wrong, go and test it yourself
  8. citation needed :P if cannon is only affected by range bonus, the point of bringing range gear is to use it while maging rex, not actually shooting prime.

  10. i always thought wearing range gear increases cannon accuracy; if so, i would definitely bring range gear
  11. i usually just normal 2.5 brid, get about 60 kills an hour, usually last all of my ovls currently don't have arcane (i normally would also have it in inventory) i used to use arcane, now i'm gonna test using a mage book instead (arcane protects over everything).

  13. on chaotics: i bring rapier and crossbow; rapier is more important than crossbow but my rapier is protected with the method i use. (i keep bandos top/bot, fury, rapier) your killrate should be steady. if i were to do cannon under prime, i would expect to just alternate between sup/prime on magepray and rex w/ SS
  14. yeah that guide is fine. there are a lot of small variations you can do too, such as 100% supreme/rex and running upstairs after supreme to get prime off you so you can ss rex; pure tribriding all 3 (ccbow is highly recommended for this); supreme-rex-prime-til-redbarred-rex-prime(KO)-supreme. you can also put the cannon under supreme. cannon works a lot better on supreme than prime because prime has huge defense. you get less kills per hour but it's safer, and still more kills/hr than normal 2.5/trib a lot of the nuances come down to your own playstyle. are you looking for high profit, short trips, and lots of clicking, or lower profit, longer trips, and less clicking?

  16. yeah, arma fury dfs cstaff risk does NOT sound good at all... i only risk chaotic cbow and i'm pretty experienced i would use ob shield SOL and black dhide instead.
  17. increase base hitpoints level. this would cause brews, uni specs to heal more damage reduction could work too, since const pot would probably be overpowered in pvm
  18. guess I misunderstood your language. in any case, i'm like 99% percent sure mage pray reduces damage, 90% sure high (read: ~150+) mage defense reduces max hit
  19. i know one hit isn't enough to prove anything, but at 0 attack and maxed mage defense i think it really says something.

  22. no, it was in single person 1v1. i've survived more; after tanking the spec the key is to use summ pots, blood barrage, etc. and lol... like i said, no rigorous statistics are needed. if you don't want to trust my personal experience, then test it yourself, because i'm like 99% certain. there's also NO way to literally "Prove" it other than to find out the damage formula itself; nothing from our side can be proved with 100% certainty. but that's really just semantics.
  23. <-- this was referring to me yes i haven't done any rigorous analysis of it, and certainly haven't "proved" it, but i'm so confident about it that i think there's really no point to testing of it. i've survived so many KS specs cause of pray and mage-def armor... a huge amount of my play time is in safe pvp so i should know. plus ive gotten good at tanking KS specs; its the only way i can beat 5+ 130's i mean if you really want to test it rigorously, go for it... i just think it's a waste of time
  24. rapid renewal ain't bad w regen brace, roughly 1:1 hp:pp ratio with good enough prayer bonus
