  1. Google Spreadsheets is a powerful way to share real-time information in spreadsheet format. Spreadsheets are a good way of recording positions of doors in dungeoneering. Typically a keyer could make an 8x8 spreadsheet and write down key doors in their approximate positions of the doors. It is possible for 5 people to simultaneously edit one spreadsheet document. Therefore, it is theoretically possible for an entire dungeoneering team to be on the same google spreadsheet to record key doors. Would you expect, for perm teams and groups of friends, that Google Spreadsheets would be a powerful way of collectively recording key doors? In addition, it would be easy to share what doors and positions people have gated. This method could make the keyer's duty of having to find doors greatly simpler. In addition, it would be very easy for the keyer to tell a member of the team to run to a door. This method could possibly greatly improve the overall team's ability to run keys, gate doors, and explore the floor during non-GD downtimes. That is, instead of idling or skilling when GD's are not up, people could instead all explore doors at the same time. The major downside of this, of course, would be the fact that editing and maintaining the spreadsheet would be difficult and possibly time-consuming. However, if one is smart about when to record (i.e. while killing monsters in a GD or while running around), the time issue can partly be solved. Moreover, only the important doors and information should be written down. Alt/tab and opening two windows at once is a good way to have both screens visible simultaneously.
  2. of course there are a lot of exceptions to the overall rank i posted, but in general i think it holds also, a curses mage/range hybrid that flashes SS will pretty much definitely beat a modern mage/range hybrid augury is basically useless.
  3. cls is the middle ground between maul and rapier for safe melée pvp before the soak update cls was slightly better than rapier. after the update it will be worse than rapier. this was shown already
  4. I think hitsplats and damage upgrade are gonna come in the same update
  5. Rapier>Cbow>Maul>Rigour>Staff>CLS>CKS>FKS>EEKS>Augury
  6. ok, possible. i don't have much personal experience w/ bandos so i might have to test it out later.
  7. I can assure you this is false. Citation: go tank Bandos in full arma and a spectral and see how well you do tanking his ranged attacks. I was just there in a team tonight with void and took some good knocks while I was soul splitting, and void has pretty excellent magic defense. I was certainly taking a lot more damage from the ranged attacks than our full Bandos tank, who by your logic should have been getting ripped apart. On topic, I say crossbow. Nothing else is a significant improvement over existing gear- the staff is stupid expensive to use, and the shields are wannabe DFS and spirit shields. should test this. according to rswiki:
  8. anyway get the crossbow. FKS/CKS are impractical for pvm cause theyre easily lost and have high degrade cost crossbow is a lot more accurate than its rune counterpart. at best, it's up to 33% more accurate (realistically a bit less though)
  9. w117 is an unsalvageable derp world w148 people are not terrible since they actually pay some attention. they just aren't that good - you really have to push them if you're keying
  10. if you can't afford a BSS you shouldn't even consider using chaotic weaponry. 1 chaotic weapon for ~10 hrs = 2M you DON't get back 1 BSS for forever = 3M you can always get back
  11. depends on your style and whether or not supreme is an issue for you. mlb(s) is good if you use a method that cannot reliably get prime within crossbow range. rcb/ccb is good in general for balance of good dps and moderate range. karil's crossbow has highest dps but low range.
  12. spectral might be better than cks for bandos since his ranged attack's accuracy is based on your magic defense, not your ranged defense. citation: rswiki highly disagree. ccbow > staff for (safe) pvp and most pvm. staff is BAD for rex because of lack of rune-saving ability, additional risk (you always risk it), higher degrade cost.
  13. Yes, the latter is exactly what I'm getting at. real DPS is hard to accurately measure perfectly due to pauses, eating, and the like. especially in the case of dungeoneering, the finer elements of weapon choice become more of a matter of small preferences rather than pure theoretical DPS. this is in contrast to pvm combat outside of DG where you mostly stand still, use primarily the same kind of attack, eat at a regular pace, and have lower chance of death. Quickswitching is a lot harder than it seems. I have a gaming mouse that's set so that my middle button goes to my equipment interface, so thankfully quickswitching isn't too hard to me. Still - if I forget that I need to quickswitch before combat starts, then effectively I can't quickswitch at all (or it becomes highly impractical to). That's why pspear is a good alternative to pbaxe if you have a hex bunt don't have prim2h
  14. Yeah, i'd definitely agree, especially in the short run in the long run when more people get good at dungeoneering and when more people have excess tokens, we might see more of what i outlined
  15. So do you think there is a deflation in the near future? I would assume so from your post prior. if i were to predict based on how the economy has been behaving, yes. but that prediction is pretty useless since i have no substantive background in economics, nor do i claim to be able to predict any changes in actual gameplay that would cause inflation. if i were to guess, the main reason behind this deflation is most likely the fact that more people have access to good levels/gear now. average killrate for monsters has increased significantly - thereby increasing the supply of almost everything. also, wrt your point on degrade costs: the more pro players (i.e. those who both DG a lot and will use their chaotic weapons often) have the option of paying with tokens. i actually do this because i dungeoneer for fun, i already have all the chaotics i want, and the ~20K tokens i get an hour is nice cause i don't have to dish out 1.8M every time i pay for your chaotic.
  16. look at prices over the past few months. i don't see a problem of inflation. in fact, most items are relatively stagnant in price.
  17. not necessarily, especially when you take cost into account: pbaxe>prim2h if you use surgebox and don't like extra clicking pbaxe>prim2h if you like to use tank ring and key pspear > pbaxe if you have a hex bind and like to use desperado prapier ?> pbaxe in certain scenarios i think an interesting question to look at would be if platebody/leatherbody binds were better for non-rushing groups that always stay together. not saying that i advocate non-rushing, as i think it's silly - i'm just curious if hood is 100% the best defensive bind. Most of those are wrong, from a pure DPS standpoint. 2h is still better then pspear, just quickswitch between desp and serker. PBax->tank<2h unless keying. prapier>pbax in some situations, but bax is still a better bind. corrections/unstated assumptions stated:
  18. tribriding fails in dangerous pvp since range is too weak try mage/melee hybriding. requires most skill (yes even more than tribrid) and is the most powerful for dangerous pvp
  19. not necessarily, especially when you take cost into account: pbaxe>prim2h if you use surgebox and don't like extra clicking pbaxe>prim2h if you like to use tank ring and key pspear > pbaxe if you have a hex bind and like to use desperado prapier ?> pbaxe in certain scenarios i think an interesting question to look at would be if platebody/leatherbody binds were better for non-rushing groups that always stay together. not saying that i advocate non-rushing, as i think it's silly - i'm just curious if hood is 100% the best defensive bind.
  20. well, yeah. lol. i'm saying that i doubt the difference it's noticeable; the real increase in accuracy is probably less than 5%. the 5% inc was a maximum limit.
  21. Fix'd Oh, and how does Dragon defender affect things? Does is make Rapier superior to Chaotic Longsword now? Rapier was always better then cls when wearing a rune defender I'm pretty sure, so dragon defender just widens that gap. CLS is still only good for a couple very high defense situations in which you have to wear a shield rather than a defender. while this is more or less true, cls dps can indeed be higher in important scenarios (safe pvp melee) even with dragon defender.
  22. The increase in accuracy is at most like 5%. it should not be that noticable.
  23. not really: if you have sub 50 dg, a weapon is more useful than hood. if you find a hexhunter and are sub 100 dg, you should seriously consider unbinding hood (or melee wep) and binding the hex if you ever plan to get above 100 dg and have access to 3 binds if you go to w117, use non-rush methods, and no one else on the team has hood it *may* be better to bind plate. if you don't get a hood drop (the hood's rarity should be considered too)
