SGS vs Enhanced Excalibur
Why you would want an SGS: -- SGS, on average, heals roughly 60lp/min. = 300lp/5mins, assuming a max hit of ~60. This is more than EE's 200lp/5mins. -- SGS restores prayer -- Doesn't have so many level/quest requirements Why you would want an EE: -- Cost -- You don't have to be using melee -- You don't have to attack anything to heal -- Doesn't protect over anything useful -- More reliable

Tds Stragedy and Inventory
^hand cannon is too expensive over the long run I've never used msb, but rune arrows are pretty expensive

Optimising Familiarisation bonus
4 Per Kill * 40 Minutes * .5 Minutes / KBD * .50 Crim Drop rate * 3 Bonus = 120 Crims 4 Per Kill * 40 Minutes * .5 Minutes / KBD * .80 Crim Drop rate * 3 Bonus = 192 Crims Either way, Waterfiends is better. I get ~190 Crims for the 40 minutes and I don't use extremes/turmoil

Solo Dag Prime + Rex Setups
How recent was this AI update? I soloed rex for a couple weeks about a month ago, and I found the AI to be reasonable

Optimising Familiarisation bonus
^ Wow I had not thought of this. That's probably a really good way to get crims. But does the 40 minute timer go down when you're logged out?

Solo Dag Prime + Rex Setups
Anyone do solo rex + prime hybriding instead of solo supreme + prime? If so, do you have any setup suggestions? How many yaks to bring? How many prayer potions? Guthans? Soul Split?

I've been doing TD's for 3 months on and off and I've only gotten 3 claws. You're too lucky.

Charm-collecting choice now
You should approximately double that cost. In 1 hour, you can roughly get 100 crimsons for free at waterfiends. In 1 hour, at absolute maximum, you can get 200 crimsons for 1.7K each at lobbies. Hence, you pay 200*1700 for an extra (200-100) = 100 charms.

Gaming can make a better world
300+ apm? really? didnt boxer play around 250? then again he was way oldschool anyway, glad to see someone else follows TED :) I saw this video on TED and was like, wow I saw that topic name in GenDIsc

Charm-collecting choice now
Most economical option is to do waterfiends in chaos tunnels. Use a combat familiar and pray range always. There are guides for this on youtube. It is most often quoted that 1K burst gives 250 crims, 1K barrage gives 350 crims. If you have SoL and or robes this value will obviously go up If you have finished WGS, TDS are the best method - make more than 1M an hour and get about 30 blues an hour!

12-Mar-2010 - Bonus XP Weekend!
I highly doubt there will be another xp weekend. this one was mainly an experiment -- a one time deal. furthermore, this one was probably implemented to be a one-time money sink for the huge inflation problems we had. the complications that arose in the GE, and the pretty outspoken population against this update, will probably discourage jagex from doing another xp weekend. also, jagex nerfed the xp rate intentionally most likely. this is another sign they want to tone down the xp boosting.

12-Mar-2010 - Bonus XP Weekend!
^ I laughed at this comment Anyway, I'm surprised at just how many people are training summoning. I'm thinking that there will be an additional 50K 88+ summoners now. This is pretty huge! Wonder if itll drop boss item prices in the long run, since every noob and his brother will have a uni by the end of today. I'm also thinking dragon and dag bone prices will drop in the long run, since more and more people are getting yaks and yaks are amazing for gathering d bones.

Okay - Jagex isn't stupid. They can program a silly quadratic, and a .15 rounding error is way too big to be overlooked. I'm quite sure that the xp nerf was intentional.

that... sucks I'm actually pretty upset about this. 0.15 is a pretty big difference, and a lot of people won't reach their target levels because of this. Plus the equation was a simple quadratic...

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
Sorry for this otherwise useless post - but I hope you realize it starts tomorrow, not saturday. I know someone who blew 20K crims thinking it was today.

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
Sorry for the late response EDIT: I tried the grapple route and it isn't faster at all. The grapple animation takes way too long (5 seconds?)

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
Yeah, I'm reserving more than half my bank cash to buy out potions, since they're going to crash the most. Probably going to pour in 100M or so. It's also why I used 100% cadantines for trading -- super defense pots are pretty worthless to begin with, and will crash the least.

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
That's actually a really good idea. But I wouldn't fill my entire inventory with baskets. I'd do like 8? idk you'd have to test it out. Exchanging shards, withdrawing BoB, and making new pouches seems to take 10 seconds. The basic path is Yanille house portal to Gutanoth obelisk. Set house to Yanille In game settings change your house teleport to outside the house (default is inside) Run to Gutanoth Obelisk Craft all pouches Trade pouches for shards Withdraw BoB Craft all pouches Bank Repeat The advantage of this is that you can use all 18 slots of your tortoise, as you've cleared your inventory by exchanging the pouches with shards. Just clocked Torts again. It's definitely slower than I expected, around 75s per trip. That's about 2000 pouches an hour. It's still the 2nd best method, if you forgot to buy kyatt pouches. I'm sure that with Yaks, it's better than Kyatt.

I just clocked Kyatt at 2400 pouches an hour, using MA bank + 25 empty slots. I think Kyatt and Tortoise will be comparable.

Cheating... Or is it...?
This has been around for quite a while. many players use it, jagex can detect it, and they don't ban you for it.

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
By the way, I believe the weekend starts Fri 5:00AM EST Anyone know the speed of Kyatt runs? 30 secs each?

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
Anyone know how many charms you get per hour with: -- Kyatt -- Tortoise using the Ogre Obelisk (to exchange pouches back to shards) + House Tele @ Yanille ^ I tested the Tortoise... I got about 1 trip per 65 seconds. That's roughly 2300 Charms/hr.

I'm personally going with Tortoises... Kyatts will be harder to pick out in CW bank :s That's why you use a different bank like MA, or even Draynor with the glory (Yea, a bit more recharging needed, but better than losing yourself in a mess of Kyatts). ~Dan If you use Torts at the Ogre obelisk, you can use all 18 slots of the tortoise since you can exchange your pouches for shards immediately. It takes about 1 minute to do a Tortoise run. You can do 18 + 24 = 42 Pouches. It takes about 30 seconds to do a Kyatt run. You can do 24 Pouches. It's about the same.. but when you account for lag on the Kyatt, it probably evens out.

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
You could use MA bank...a slightly longer run to the bank, but not as much crowds to deal with (Assuming that you're doing summoning). ~Dan And it's cheaper than using all those duel rings. But as for last minute stuff, I am just getting as many crimsons as I can while debating whether or not I should pick 4k swamp toads for all my gold charms. ^It's probably not worth it. by the time you've finished all your other charms and are on to golds, the xp multiplier will be lower (1.1 - 1.5)
