The thing is that we don't know whether or not monster-specific drops are on the rare drop wheel. Jagex never explicitly stated that, for example, hilts arent on that wheel.

The True World Map? Post your findings! [Updated 2014]
^ That definitely looks underwater. THere's a shark jaw and bubbles... I think that might even be Zanik lying on that table on the right. In other news, this is the first thing I thought of when you equip the orb:

Soul Split or Extremes?
Higher prayer levels give you more ppoints per ppot dose, so it save you a little bit of money. Herblore is -20gp/xp at best; prayer is easily -20gp/xp or under. Herb is the more expensive. At 88 herb, you can make ext att and strength using only greenman's ale. If I need extreme ranges, +4 isn't TOO rare... Cleaning herbs is very impractical - it's too hard to get grimy herbs

Soul Split or Extremes?
I'm aiming to buy either 92 prayer or 88 herb. 88 herb = extremes (you can make all extremes with spicy stew at 88) 92 prayer = turmoil which one is better? I primarily monster hunt. The main things I kill are solo rex, solo TD's, and possibly solo arma.

Small Computer Tips for RS
Laptops with integrated video cards can't support dual monitors, I thought? You positive about that? I don't have a laptop (a netbook at the very least would set me back 300 dollars, let alone a decent laptop) so I guess it doesn't really matter but that bit of info ran contrary to how I thought laptops worked. XD Unfortunately, I go to just a small commuter campus, and we're not big on psychology studies or medical trials. with laptops you can use your default laptop screen and an extra LCD monitor simultaneously. my old laptop is a absolute PoS with a terrible integrated graphics card and it could handle the 22" + default 15". granted, it did die after 2 years. if you wanna be really literal, you're only attaching 1 monitor. but effectively you have dual monitors function.

Small Computer Tips for RS
my dad actually bought a VG card for his desktop. in total he paid $250 for the extra monitor AND card. if you're in college (which i am), you most likely have (or should get) a laptop. latptops don't need an extra VG card to support dual monitors; you can plug and play and itll work. so really youre just paying for an extra monitor = $150 it sounds like you need a new computer anyway. low end HP and dell laptops can be found (albeit rarely) under $400. roommate has a cheap (~20) multifunction mouse. but my recommendation is to get a logitech or something reputable. mine's lasted couple of years and i'm very happy with it. i've seen amazon sell the G5 for $35 before, too also, if youre a college student take those random psych surveys around campus that pay like $20 an hour LOL

lmao at muggi. i've heard that there's a wow player with 25 screens... 22+22 = 44 Actually, no. 22" refers to the diagonal; longer diagonal length doesn't mean bigger area. with that said I'd still prefer 2 22" versus 1 37"

Small Computer Tips for RS
Edit: internet started working again so I uploaded the pictures of setpoint. NOTE: you need to have the RS client downloaded as a separate program (can't run it off of browser) for the bound hotkeys to work. you might have to do some digging to find the runescape[Caution: Executable File] client in your computer. but when you do, select it. then go back to the main setpoint screen and change your hotkeys.

Small Computer Tips for RS
ive asked jagex this and ive heard mixed responses. some mods say that it's okay but some mods say that it's against the rules. but more importantly, i haven't been banned or warned for the 2 years i've been using it so I assume they're okay with it, or simply just cant detect it.

Small Computer Tips for RS
yeah I have setpoint, but the problem is i use most of my mouse keys as volume control and forward/back, there's no way to program the buttons as specific keys for specific windows. like this [/hide] I'll post a screenshot on how to change it for RS specifically when I come back from class. I didnt do anything special - just look around in setpoint. I'm downloading a newer version to see if that makes a difference, but thanks aswell the Internet on my laptop just died so i prob cant post any pics... <-- also never buy an HP computer... within the past two days my lcd and internet have both failed...

For programming mice: I don't know how it works with other mouse brands, but with logitech g5 the mouse comes with Logitech Setpoint, which is a simple and easy to use program that assigns mouse key meanings. If you intend on buying a different brand mouse, check that it has software that allows you to program the mouse button meanings. My experience with Logitech Setpoint has been really good for a couple of years; it runs quietly in the background and has a very intuitive interface

I would make a youtube video of my hand and mouse while I do TD's or PvP... too bad I don't have a working digital camera right now... But yeah it's very, very, very useful and definitely gives me an upper hand in PvP.

Small Computer Tips for RS
Logitech g5 and plenty of other gaming / multifunction mice are incredibly incredibly useful. If you have AutoHotKey (AHK*), you can program a multifunction mouse to do practically anything. One of my friends can even type with only his mouse; his computer can recognize mousestrokes and convert them into keyboard inputs. * AHK is a free popular program for assigning hotkeys in your computer (there are also others, but I know AHK best; some very minimal/basic computer programming experience is helpful because you need to write some code. it's also possible to copy and paste codes from the internet if you don't want to write codes yourself.) Most gaming mice also have the function to change button assignments/meanings depending on which window you have in focus. For example, when I play RS the buttons are all assigned to F keys, but when I'm on chrome or firefox, they're assigned to pageup/pagedown/home/end etc Dual monitors are also very useful for general life. 22" monitors are around 150$ today and the gain in productivity makes it easily worth it. No more having to switch between windows constantly - I can easily open up 5 windows at once and still read them all comfortably. The only problem with using duals is that they tend to eat away at your graphics card (mine's failed because of frequent switching between dual and single monitor setups, but then again it's a cheap integrated one on a low end HP laptop so I shouldn't expect much out of it) Setting up duals on a desktop (rather than a laptop) is harder because desktops usually only have 1 VGA port, and to set up a second one might be expensive/time consuming. Laptops only have 1 VGA port, but they have a monitor attached to them already. A good multipurpose/gaming mouse can fetch for $40 nowadays. Considering low end mice are around $15, you're not paying too much more for a significant gain in productivity. And they feel great to use too!

Small Computer Tips for RS
Hi all, just wanted to start a discussion on any special programs or computer configurations that help you play RS. Some examples: -- Mousekeys : Easy way to drop items in your inventory -- Programmable mouse keys: I have all of the F keys bound to my extra mouse buttons. So if I want to access my inventory, I just click my middle button, or if I want spells, I click my thumb button, etc. -- Always using the resizeable function of RS: Bigger field of view, 4 stat buttons are closer to the game display (on the left of the map instead of the right) -- Dual monitors: I can open up RS wiki, a quest guide, itunes, and RS all at the same time with my 22" monitor and laptop monitor. Nine buttons is better than two. [the middle button is actually 4 buttons depending on how you press it] With this baby, I can access all combat interfaces (with the exception of summoning) with one click. TD's and PvP have never been easier. The quickprayer and summoning buttons are closer to the center of your screen in resizable modes. You also have a bigger field of vision. Not to mention it's easier to open up another window with RS if RS is in resizeable mode! Done right, resizeable mode takes up less space than fixed on your computer monitor(hint: make the window smaller and scroll to the lower right) In terms of RS functionality, small resizeable (like what i have shown) is best, fixed is middle, and fullscreen is worst (interface is too far from center of screen). Fixed is only if you want to enjoy the graphics of RS, which are pretty terrible anyway. The best aspect of using a small resizeable window is that the center of your screen is very close to your inventory / spell / prayer interfaces. Less distance for your mouse to travel = faster reaction. dual monitors are better than your monitors. They're really easy to set up on laptops too! Just plug in your VGA cord to the laptop.
