Had it for a year. Long enough, don't you think? I've kind of gotten used to the attention already. I find it a hassle to constantly have to switch attack styles to keep the same xp. Also, I'd like to max out combat so that I know for sure that I have a statistical advantage against everybody (except other maxed out people of course)

Temporarily out of retirement, will be going back in a few weeks. Just an observation I've made recently: even if dragon plate becomes a rare drop from tormented demons, won't it still be in excess supply? I suspect with the promise of getting full elite, full dagon, 400K xp, and not to mention the dragon piece, many people will be aiming to finish the grandmaster quest -- and with each of these people, 1/3 of a dragon plate comes into the game. That means that for every 3 questers, it is guaranteed that there will be 1 dragon plate for whoever wants it. This is a lot considering the low demand for the item. The problem is, no one really wants the plate. It pretty much is a better version of a dragon chain -- a showoff item with somewhat limited combat potential. Back in the old days, such an item would be highly demanded. Nowadays, there are many substitutes for 10-30M semirare armor pieces for showoff. For example, Bandos plate, which is cheaper at the moment, looks (imo) better, has combat uses, and is much more common. The godswords are also substitutes, and have much more usefulness (not to mention, look much better). Furthermore, the only players impressed by the item at the moment are level 100-, who still think Dchain is "cool" :P. These players aren't going to be able to offer much for the plate in the first place. Dplate was released just about 2 years too late....

I doubt they'll have a wildy one, wildy is kinda unique and by itself. They'll definitely do cammy and/or ardy. That is almost for sure. I doubt they'll do something obscure like elf lands or morytania, because a large portion of the RS population (read: "noobs") have never heard of them. Also, I doubt Yanille will be a diary cause there's just like... nothing to do around there.

They won't make a cape for diaries. Diaries already have their own wearable items. I think the final intent is to have a full set of armor, with each piece from a different diary.

Hey all, Come out of a retirement to celebrate the new year by trimming my untrimmed HP cape, with 99 attack, defense, strength, and range. I'll be doing it at PC, and getting the 99's against the portals (4 99's = 4 portals). I'll be speccing each of the portals, so I'll need lvl 91 mages (or 87 with mage pot) to renew my specs with lunar :) I can't keep the island alive long enough to destroy all 4 portals, so I'm gonna need some help keeping the island alive while I get my 99's, and to congratulate me if you want :) This mainly means killing spinners, killing ravagers and the explodey things to protect doors, rebuilding doors with logs, and destroying portals after I've pulled off the first spec. If the hammer spec actually hits (which I doubt) it will make the beast immensely easier. I think the specs stack too.

I kind of like this better. Jagex aimed to have these worlds operate mostly as worlds you'd use normally with the option of killing people, rather than worlds specifically intended for PKing. As the mod up there posted, Jagex intended to have people train normally on these servers, which isn't what PKer's do exactly. Furthermore real PKer's need to constantly bank and rebank.

Even better, do a book swap and use Ice Blitz to start out. Remember, blitz has a delay so if you're skilled you can get the 2 hits from dds and the spell to hit all at the same time. Approximate max hit, assuming your opponent pulls off a 50 spec: 35 (Veng) + 35*2 (DDS) + 26 (Blitz) = 131 :D

pest control used to require constant attention for maximum xp. i'm sure if this actually yields high xp rates people would do it Either way it can't be much better than 74 bandits with piety. 74 bandits have highish hp, low defense, and allow for continuous combat (it's multi), you don't have to move. This method requires you to walk back and forth from the altar to healer, plus your opponent's gonna have high def.

I did it tonight with other friends, with both of us having 75k cash in our invs. I made about a 400k profit after two hours. Some people can make tens of millions. Also, I guarantee that if they don't adjust the decay rate on the staves, the price will go through the floor. As you said, no one will want to use one if they get it, so they'll immediately put it up for sale. After enough do this, the market becomes saturated and people start selling for min. 1) 200K profit per hour is pretty marginal... but Im curious how they're doing the 10's of millions thing 2) The price wont fall low enough for it to be very common. The drop itself is pretty rare I think, Ive only seen a pic of 1 so far

Requires too much micromanagement. I'd rather spend that time PKing/hunting monsters and gain cash, and spend that cash on prayer pots to use at Bandits 74.

Anyone know how the armor degrades? is it: A) You put it on and it starts degrading, wearing away after an hour B) You can wear it for at toal of an hour in combat (like barrows)

I thought our little test basically proved there wasn't a good way to farm kills, at leas for no-armor Also keep in mind of the decay rate... Miasma spells will effectively be very expensive to cast considering the cost of each new staff after 15 / 60 minutes + Also, we need to prove if the decay is A) you can wear it for a total of 60 minutes or B) it decays 60 minutes after you first used it If its B, then I'd say the new armors are underpowered, except for the helm (+40 compared to Torags). No way is it worth it to pay 10M, or even 1M, for an hour for +20 def and +5 attack (for plate/legs) compared to Barrows. Even the weps are kind of underpowered; GS is still comparable

LOL, I went welfare PKing (look at the scim in my invent) and got this: Somethings wrong with the drop table... I didn't even smite him out, and he was one-iteming with a DDS

but for that price,you may expect something. Not sure if this is possible, but I think you could just switch to the staff, make one cast, and switch back to ancient staff. That takes all of 10 seconds.
