  1. LOL He regens to full HP if there is any a point in which no one is attacking him. Aww. :? Dude this thing sounds hard. Super-food might be needed (Phoenix necklaces anyone?)
  2. Some kids in acidy were buying them up, so I expect the crash to be even worse than expected  Dumped mine as well as GS's (2 handed) :D
  3. Loving this update. Little small note: BoB's can carry items in FFA :)
  4. Doesn't work that way, it's 10% added to final accuracy not 10% added to accuracy bonus Just like the "10% Max hit" bonus on void melee doesn't hadd 10% strength bonus, it adds 10% extra damage
  5. How accurate is maxed out void range vs maxed out armadyl armor? I would imagine arma is a lot more accurate
  6. Thats funny, liar. I just tested, they don't have delay. Um what. Eating it takes up 3 knife/dart hits, or 1.5 whip hits. :? Maybe you have to time it right or soemthing but I was definitely experiencing delay Wait, if it doesn't take up delay is it even possible for me to be mistiming? I tested it with a whip, and now with rune knives. it doesn't delay. Your mistiming. I could test it right in front of you if you want. Edit: If you mistime it, you should get this message. [/hide] "It heals some health" means your not timing it right. Oh so you have to have a certain timing in order to eat it without delay? How do you time it correctly?

  8. It's good to see RS is climbing in Rank and Page views :)
  9. +1 They would be pretty overpowered if there weren't at least some kind of req
  10. Just tested, Zamorak flames doesn't stack Anyone wanna do Guthix?
  11. Lol. Provided you're using no obstacles, Blood >= Barrage Shadow >= Barrage Provided Zamorak special stacks, Zamorak >> barrage It is not "down to hits." Yes, barrage is the best but not only for that reason. You want to get out of THEIR range and farcast. Just cause you're losing a bit doesn't mean you have to run, just switch to another combat style. Then again whoever does pure mage vs range has issues Entangle them and theyre useless against you Get someone else to barrage and use Godspells Use shadow spells. And no person worth fighting will ever ever just stand there All of that I previously said in this post. If I'm simplifying it's only because I hate repeating myself. __________ Actually Rune crossbow on long range has exactly the same range as ancient spells. I used it a lot in duel tournaments. Still, it's an extra click for the ranger from rapid to long-range and an extra hit the mage gets i guess. It takes 2 extra clicks + reaction time to switch to longrange If they switch to longrange you get in normal rune c'bow range and start ranging them. They're still stuck on longrange so you have an advantage
  12. Tip it should publicize its events more often Also, host few, big events rather than a lot of small weekly events
  13. Apparently they were updated this year, I still have to test this but Im powertraining atm Lol that is way too simplified. Latino has it. Melee'ers rarely have the ability to mount magic defense even without metal armour. 20 seconds freezing means the mage in question can sing a song and do a dance and still have time left over to kill an opponent. Then just entangle. Or bring an ancient friend It's just one tempo of damage. This isn't a "major disadvantage". More important about entangle is the fact that it's probably less accurate IF the spec stacks then it is huge. Think about it, within 5 turns you've basically nullified piety's defense bonus Either way it increases the chance that you drain his prayer...
  14. Very nice, belongs in some kind of archive I don't think RHQ's calculator does a multiplier for pots because it displays how potting affects a level
  15. Apparently the Zamorak spell's special stacks now. If this is the case then it demolishes everything in Mage vs mage The point of Guthix is to lower your opponent's defense a certain amount and then switch melee; it's for mage/melee hybrid A point I think people are missing is the fact that mage is really really accurate against the dominant form of combat, melee. Even if it only hits 30 Max it's doing so at a consistent rate. I realize barrage's main advantage is that it freezes but another one of my points is that you use modern / shadow in conjunction with other people's ancients (e.g. in Clan Wars). Standalone modern vs melee is pretty weak since it requires Ahrim's for accuracy and Ahrim is like paper as far as defense goes Also if the point about Guthix special stacking is true, then Guthix/melee hybrid be one of the best combos against melee Even if you are only hitting a max of 30 a round with Guthix, the 5% defense penalty each cast is huge... within 3 casts your opponent has lost up to 15 defense points.
  16. 1 spell = 15% attack deduction = 115 --> 100 attack 115 --> 100 attack means you're destroying 15 attack levels 15 attack levels = 5 combat levels I always wear a godcape whenever I'm maging (even if my primary mode of attack is melee and mage is only my sidearm) Shadow/Ice barrages are in the same book. I would use combination runes to counter the inventory space problem. Mage is good because its the most accurate form of attack against melee not because it hits well. Void knight mace autocasts claws of guth That's too simplistic. In mage vs mage I believe Flames of Zamorak is the best smell In mage vs melee you should use both ice and shadow
  17. In PvP maging, Ice Barrage is used almost exclusively. Other spells, including the other Ancient spells and modern spells, are almost ignored. Ancient Spells As Muggi can testify, the other ancient spells are quite powerful. In particular, Shadow Barrage is quite accurate (according to him) and has a devastating special effect - 15% attack reduction. 2 of these spells can demolish a meleer's accuracy (118 -> ~85) and can either delay your opponent 2 turns (for repotting) or nullify his melee capabilities. Modern Spells The modern God spells all hit the same as ice barrage, have powerful specials, and are significantly cheaper than higher level ancient spells. Claws of guthix reduces defense by 5%, weakening your opponent to melee; Flames of Zamorak may be one of the best Mage vs Mage spells since it reduces your opponent's magic level by 5 (only 99 Magers don't have to worry about getting their Ice Barrage voided due to this special); Saradomin Strike may be a good BH spell since it reduces your opponent's prayer by 1 point every time it hits. These specials shouldn't be something to be ignored, yet they are. Why? A main issue that arises from modern spells is the fact that they don't bind. My suggestion here is that you team with a Barrager; the Barrager binds and you deal the Godspell specials. Alternatively you could use entangle, but I don't know how good / accurate that spell is. However the accuracy of these spells and also if their special effects stack (i.e. 2 guthix spells yield 10% defense deduction) are unknown to me. The stat reduction spells are powerful support spells. At only 1 soul rune a pop (provided you're using a mud staff) they aren't expensive, yet they deal 10% reduction in melee stats. Having someone go from 118 to 90 defense will definitely make a significance in how often you hit; having someone go from 118 to 90 defense is much more effective than wielding a DFS vs DSq. Their main usefulness would be in supporting a friend engaged in melee fighting. Once you cast the stat reduction spells you can then revert back to God spells, or switch to melee. Keep in mind even though your opponent can repot, they at most carry only 3 doses, while you have stackable runes so you can cast however much you want. Also they must take time to repot. The best counter against this is restore pots / super restores. Super restores get expensive to use very often, and almost no one carries restore pots. Furthermore you could pretty easily use these along with Lunar Spell Swap, if you want to keep your Veng abilities. The homogeneity of spells scares me. Where's the diversity? A mix of all sorts of spells is probably the best way to go.
  18. Brews are hard to use effectively while soloing, I only used them in emergency situations. The fact that you have to repot every time negates the fast HP restore. I still dont see why you think it's "just pointless"... what are your grounds for that ? Say youre eating no-delay Karambwan, that's only 4 HP healing off of the best food (potatoes) but you deal maybe even 2 times more damage cause you're not wasting your time eating BTW: Infinite Cooked Karams are for sale at Brimhaven for 460 a piece... last time i checked that store's pretty close to the house portal so getting there isn't too bad
  19. I think pie/pizza slices have a smaller delay than normal food but I'm pretty sure they still cause a delay
  20. Pretty small update if you ask me... the rewards are so minimal
  21. FFA clan wars looks like a pointless hit and run contest
  22. You can't calculate it that way, lol. If this method allows you to kill bosses/fight other players really easily then its priceless... it could be possible that bunyip eating + verac >> all melee And no... bunyip eating isn't for training, that's just pointless. unproven fact Just thought of this: upcoming PvP is around the world, leaving some areas single-combat. This means your opponent can't kill your bunyip.
