  1. Try the Bandos GW boss :
  2. I agree. In my experience the only effective melee weapon is Godsword with Piety and Pots. Verac is a possibility but magic is comparable to Verac. Stick with mage until you have 90+ attack/strength.
  3. Don't range dragons. You have several options: 1) Get rich and use chinchompas. 2) Train at bandits using bronze knives. If you care about the DFS drop, then earn cash. Don't try to earn cash and train at the same time, you won't be as well off compared to if you earn cash and then train.
  4. Dude, what a noob. :D I think he's training herb right now, right? He's around 51-60M xp.
  5. Zamorak Godsword is better than Bandos Godsword. Sound crazy? Then read this guide. Basic Stats Slash attack ----- + 132 Crush attack ---- + 80 Strength --------- + 132 Prayer bonus ---- + 8 Type: Two-handed sword. Speed: Time to hit is 1.5 times the time for whip to hit; speed rating of 4 on KB Special: Freezes opponent for 20 seconds as long as it does at least 1 damage. Cost: 39-40M as of the new year. Offense Powers [hide=Halberd Tactic] This tactic is unknown up to the release of this guide. Its advantage lies mainly in melee vs. melee battles. The tactic is: ZGS special Run away 1 space Switch to halberd and attack Switch back to ZGS This allows for 20 seconds of damage using halberd, without being hit yourself. This tactic is arguably better than any special for melee battles. Unfortunately, its use in PvP will be nullified as more people learn of this tactic, since they may choose to bring halberds as a counter.[/hide] [hide=Farcasting Melee] This tactic is unknown up to the release of this guide. Its advantage lies mainly in melee vs. melee battles. The tactic is: ZGS special Run away 2+ spaces Attack your opponent Repeat (you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have to spec again) Why is this advantageous? Effectively it slows your opponent̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s attack down. This is especially useful for GS vs. Verac or GS vs. Whip fights, where the opponent̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s weapon is faster than the GS. Effectively a major weakness of the GS (its slow speed) is negated. Sometimes opponents may not be fast enough to attack you as you are running in for an attack[/hide] [hide=Multicombat PvP] Many times it is hard to KO someone in Multicombat PvP, since they run. Provided the target switches to magic defense, it is hard to freeze them for a KO, and the battle instead becomes a comparison of run energy and agility. The ZGS special prevents running, and more easily allows for a KO. Also, it is effective for people who use blocking techniques, such as running around rocks.[/hide] [hide=CastleWars] This advantage is obvious. The flagcatcher can hardly stop a melee ZGS special if he is using mage pray and is in Karil.[/hide] Defense Powers [hide=Protecting Yourself] The ZGS special is useful in any cases where you would like to safespot but there are no places to hide. Just spec your opponent, run, eat, and come back to fight whenever you are ready. It is also useful when you are trying to get away from a single opponent, such as the Saradomin Godwars Boss. This property of the ZGS is not one of the more powerful ones. In most cases, save your special for DDS.[/hide] [hide=Protecting Teammates] Same idea as above. Especially useful for the melee bodyguards in GWD.[/hide] Comparisons [hide=Advantages over BGS] The Bandos special rarely hits well. In order to be noticeable, the special must hit above 40. This happens approximately 20-30% of the time. The ZGS special is more consistent, since it works 100% of the time when it hits. The ZGS special has many uses as stated above. In addition, BGS special takes 100% of the special bar. Still, DDS special is better than either ZGS or BGS specials, especially in cases where the opponent has low defense.[/hide] [hide=Advantages over Ice Barrage] Many claim that the ZGS special is just a bad version of Ice Barrage. However, since the ZGS special is melee-based, it does not run into the problem of armor penalties (you cannot barrage in full Torags), and it circumvents magic defense (many people just switch to karil and magic pray when you prepare to barrage).[/hide] I hope this guide changes your view on the Zamorak Godsword. I personally prefer ZGS over BGS.
  6. I don't agree with some of your item ratings. DFS -- does not deserve A+, rather B+ or A. It is not one of the best pieces of equipment in the game. Why? - The -10 magic and -5 range penalties, favoring melee. - 26M is rather expensive. - In some cases, I would actually rather use Dragon Square (say, if I were poor, or if I was a mage) - Its special is somewhat confusing/hard to use in the midst of combat. DFH -- does not deserve A. Other than its rarity, it serves no other purpose. It's just continuing the dragon armorline. Godswords -- B. Verac is sometimes equal to/better than GS, and they are overpriced. Armadyl -- B+ because of its cost. It's highly overrated, and DBow can in fact hit higher. I have over 300M in cash and I'm still hesitant to buy one. Bandos -- B because its special works effectively only ~30% of the time. Saradomin -- B+ because of its cost. Its special can easily be taken care of by using purple sweets as an alternative. Zamorak -- B because its special is very effective in melee only battles, and sometimes is more useful than its counterpart, the Bandos GS. (I may write a guide about this later) Bandos Armor -- C+; useless other than strength bonus. I sold my set after about 3 weeks. You're better off buying a GS, zerker ring, or upgrading to SGS. Armadyl Armor -- B+; too rare to be practical. Also, its negative melee bonuses should be balanced with even higher range bonuses. Steam Battlestaff -- B; useful for humidify as well, and the Zammy boss needs other drops :D
  7. People will look for alternatives to alch. Simple as that. There's always a chance that yew long prices go back down. There is the possibility that Jagex is influencing these prices as a measure to counteract inflation, in which case they are truly a Machiavellian company... Or, just train magic like I do and blow millions 8-)
  8. I'm tanking at Bandos, and I lag out. Yay for ROL. Saves me 5M+
  9. It's not possible to double Laws. Double Astrals gives same profit as double Laws, but Double Astrals are significantly faster. Yes, there is demand for astrals. In the current market, it is taking ages to complete a Buy order on the GE. And yes, supply will probably remain low for a while.
  10. I just noticed... in the GE astrals are going for 180 ea. Considering astrals take significantly shorter to craft than Nats, that means more xp/hour than using Nats. In addition, the xp difference between them is only .3 (Astral is 8.7, Nat is 9). I just tested one run, it takes ~45 seconds running for one full load. That is: XP: 22.5K xp/hour + 180K gp/hour; for 40 - 50 RC 27.5K xp/hour + 220K gp/hour; for 50 - 75 RC 35K xp/hour + 280K gp/hour; for 75-82 RC 35K xp/hour + 1M gp/hour; for 82+ RC Also, double astrals are possible at 82, meaning that it's a viable "high level" runecrafting method, making much more money than Nats. Effectively it's getting the "91" with only 82 :)
  11. oo untrimmed hp nice  how'd u get? 6 Months+ at bandits 8-)

    GOOD FIGHT
  13. Andrew, give me some of those insane drugs you use. I need em now to mourn the coming of this totally new and inferior game.
  14. Misplaced was around back in the old old days of RSC.. I think he's older than 14. I remember being on these forums when I was pre-teen... so that would have made him 9 years old
  15. It's up there, under the crafters tab. I decided to give crafters the profit since there will probably be the least amount of crafters among the groups.
  16. i dont really. not really, maybe a couple times. but not for the most part. Come on, I mean she's pretty but: And I don't even ogle at that. (Yes, asians can be pretty hot. Btw that is Hyori, famous Korean pop star).
  17. Holy crud, if that's your picture in your profile, you are some hot stuff. RAET MY PICTUR 1-10 PLZZZ~~ (I'm kidding :D ) Thanks for the update!
  18. What does a d-hide body alch for? 4680. If nat prices are a steady 280 each, then this failsafe stops players for buying less than the high-alching price and making a profit off the stupidity of others. Well, how wonderful it is to have Almighty Jagex out there making sure that I don't do anything out of "stupidity". Because gee, I must be an idiot if I want to say, sell my green dhide bodies for 4380. And how nice it is of Almighty Jagex to not let me "stupidly" sell my iron knives for less than 31 each -- which means that I haven't been able to sell them on the GE for two solid weeks. And thank goodness that Almighty Jagex doesn't let me offer more than 85 gold pieces for raw chompies, because only an idiot would pay more than that much. I'll buy all of your chompies 2K ea :D
  19. I put you down under the crafters list. Hopefully you will be contacted.
  20. You exploit the low prices and find amazing training opportunities such as the one in my signature. :D
  21. Gold bars have sold for 100 ea before the GE. Buy them directly from players. Historically, people have paid 200 ea for Superheat Ore (300 For Nat, 100 For Iron Ore, Sell Bar for 200), and that's only 80K xp/hour. I'm sure people will be willing to train with enchant for a loss, even more willing to lose only 50 gp per cast.
  22. Yeah, you heard it. Very high xp for absolutely free. How do you do it? The answer lies in the GE. Ruby (and Diamond) Bracelets, enchanted. Process: Buy Materials. Craft Ruby Bracelets. Enchant Ruby Bracelets. Alch Ruby Bracelets. (Or, do the same with Diamond) (Note: you can break this process into step by step, to gain just the craft xp or just the magic xp. See below, on the lists) Required Levels: Ruby Bracelet: 42 Craft, 49 Magic Diamond Bracelet: 58 Craft, 57 Magic [hide=Price Analysis Per Bracelet] Buy Ruby: 877 GP Buy Gold Bar: 150 GP (Buy these directly from players, GE is overpriced) Buy Cosmic: 150 GP Buy Nature: 270 GP Alch Innoculation Brace: 1530 GP. Total GP Gained: 60 GP Buy Diamond: 2000 GP Buy Gold Bar: 150 GP (Buy these directly from players, GE is overpriced) Buy Cosmic: 150 GP Buy Nature: 270 GP Alch Abyssal Brace: 2520 GP Total GP Lost: 50 GP[/hide] [hide=XP Analysis Per Bracelet] Craft Ruby Bracelet: 80 XP craft Enchant Innoculation Brace: 59 XP magic Craft Diamond Bracelet: 95 XP craft Enchant Abyssal Brace: 67 XP magic[/hide] [hide=XP Rate Analysis] Craft Rate: Craft Rate per minute: 13 Braces/minute Craft Rate per hour: 780 Brace/hour Craft xp per hour, Ruby: 62.4K xp/hour Craft xp per hour, Diamond: 74.1K xp/hour Magic Rate: (Note, I did not take into account alching rate. You can just sell the resultant items off to other people and not alch them. Or, if you want to, you can alch them too.) Enchant Rate per minute: 27 Braces/minute Enchant Rate per hour: 1620 Brace/hour Enchant xp per hour, Ruby: 95.6K xp/hour Enchant xp per hour, Diamond: 108.5K xp/hour[/hide] Note: One downside is that it's hard to get these gems in mass, if it becomes a popular training method. If this method becomes way too popular, it might be reasonable to resort to emerald bracelets. Note 2: Another downside is, under the current system, one has to go through all of these processes by themselves in order to get their cash back. In order to counteract this, I will try to organize separate lists of people, who are interested in each section. I noted the roles of the sections in parentheses. Reply to this post to be added to the list. [hide=Materials Suppliers] Sellers for materials. (Sell nats 270 ea, Sell gold bars 150 ea, Sell Rubies 880 ea, Sell Cosmic 150 ea) - Liuzerozliu (Rubies (at 1.1K ea :-w )) [/hide] [hide=Crafters] Craft 60K xp/hour and earn a profit of 70 gp per brace! (Buy gold bars 150 ea, Buy rubies 880 ea, Sell Braces 1100 ea) - M6c_Magnum - atronic92 [/hide] [hide=Enchanters] Train magic at 100K xp/hour for free! (Buy ruby bracelets 1100 ea, Buy cosmics 150 ea, Sell E Bracelets 1250 ea) - wild_goat_14 [/hide] [hide=Alchers] Make money while alching! 16 gp per alch. (Buy E brace 1250, Buy nats at 270, alch at 1536) [/hide] And please, don't say "PICTURES PL0X". You really don't need pictures to explain this.
