-- âš§âš§eâš£i's Blog. [98/99 UHP] [58/70 Farm] [
Hey guys! I'm finally reaching my goal of 99 Untrimmed hits, which I have banked now (I saved up 20K xp from finishing RFD). I'll be getting it this Wednesday, December 12th, at 5:00 EST! If you want to come and celebrate, and I'd love your company, you're welcome at W99, Lumbridge Altar. I've been training at bandits for the past 9 months for this, so it's a big achievement for me! :D [hide=Pictures] [/hide] Well, now that I'm so close from accomplishing that goal, I've decided to go for 99 Farm. Yeah, 99 farm - I actually love farming . I have an extra 50M or so sitting in the bank, so hopefully that'll be enough to fund me. I was originally going to quit after my 99UHP, but decided farming's easy enough, hey why not. Wish me luck

It wasn't a lot of people. Sure there were some immature low-levels that shouted "tip lvl120 hes a cape switcher" for no reason at all, but that hardly represents the majority of the population. The other major group of crashers was one of the fansites, I'm sure. I had to fight probably 5 or 6 people in full rune (I ran after a minute, of course, as I had 2 R scims and an R2H :-w ) that all shouted "K Liuzerozliu!" (Liuzerozliu is my RSN). Heck knows what "K" stands for.

Game female characters
It's Runescape, people. Sex appeal is not an option with these graphics. Lol so why does Verac top cover pixel's girls top? Pervert  Even if it is "sexy", Jagex should give the option of not showing midriff. Not everyone in this world wants to show off their stomach...

The next year, you should promote P2Pers to wear member's capes (e.g. Fremmenik) as proof that they didn't switch capes. Also if a member were to die with this cape, he/she would not drop a cape that an enemy could pick up and wear. I wore a green fremmenik cape 8-)

A thought of the Barbarian kind...
I used barb potions for a while, and then I realized how much a hassle getting caviar was. I just stick with super restores and brews nowadays, since they are so cheap anyway.
-
Grand Exchange: Your thoughts?
Pots and herb/farm related materials will probably stay pretty cheap. I doubt they will ever go back to their old value.

By the way, can you please use spell check? It's hard to carry on an intelligent conversation with the other party making egregious spelling errors. Sorry, just had to put that out. Anyway, you were not completely accurate about the GE. Yes, prices did decrease, but for MANY different reasons that you didn't address (such as the inherent structure of the GE, the 5% bounds, etc. etc.). Obviously you could not have known about these before the update, but at the same token, don't pretend that your predicitions on the GE were completely right. Also, did you address the items that went UP as a result of the GE? I'm talking here about mid-level rares, such as GWD items and DFS. These crashed before the GE in anticipation (again, NOT exactly reflecting your predictions), but shot back up. Yes, to an extent they are price-correcting and returning back to their unpanicked values. However, they are STILL overvalued - why? The GE became a source of income for those many players who stocked 5M+ net worth in their bank of useless items. Having sold these items, those players now have enough to buy those mid-level rares, thus increasing demand.

Documentary(s) about "Chinese gold gamers"
I don't think it's realistic for Jagex to completely prohibit goldfarming. The difference in the value of time of Chinese workers and American workers is just much too high. The average Chinese income is around 17000 Yuan (I know since I lived there over the summer; I earned 40$ for near 120 hours of work). The average American income is around 20000 USD. That is roughly an 8-fold difference - a clear opportunity for arbitrage. In addition, labor laws are extremely lax in China, and the minimum wage is essentially ignored. The 17000 Yuan average income incorporates the absolute dirt poor and the disgustingly rich; the class separation in China is much bigger than that of the US (which is already quite high) Jagex cannot take the approach of banning individual bots, or even bot-pimps. Again, this opportunity arbitrage is just too high; as long as they can make a profit (which they probably will), people will do it simply because there are that many people in China. I can understand their current strategy, attempting not to prohibit but to reduce goldfarming in scale. Sometimes, though, they really are going too far (i.e. staking). Ideally, Jagex would make creating accounts harder. Unfortunately this also means less customers for them. But with the sacrifices they've made to other aspects of the game, I don't understand why they haven't at least tried this approach.

Grand Exchange: Your thoughts?
What really ticks me off is that Jagex actually has implemented some behind-the-scenes price controls even aside from the 5% bounds. Here are just a few examples: - Pot average prices are calculated based on per-dose bases, not per-pot bases. Thus (4) dose and (3) dose pots have the same price, even though (4) dose require more time to make (due to having to mix them). However, (1) dose, (3) dose, and (4) dose pots all have different inherent values. (1) dose pots are useful for potting at the bank, and should have a higher price per dose. (3) dose pots are the direct byproducts of herblore, and should be a lower price per dose. (4) dose pots should be worth more due to their mixing time. - Many materials prices are fixed a few gp below their alch values. - Gold amulet prices are fixed. Had they been at their true value (around the price of gold bars, which are 100 ea), they would have been an incredible source of magic xp (string amulet @ Lunar spellbook). I think, however, Jagex forsaw this and made a price minimum that makes string amulet horridly expensive. Note: this applies to unstrung symbols and unstrung emblems as well.

Understanding & Surviving the RuneScape Market Crash of 2007
I highly doubt that there used to be this stratified merchanting class that owned the materials markets. Materials were simply too inflexible in price and too plentiful to be manipulated on a big scale by a few people, if even a few hundred people. The market was fundamentally flawed, which caused price inflation. Qeltar's article agrees with this idea.

By the looks of it, I'm going to guess that it's a lion's head. 8-)- Christmas presents in RuneScape
zomg Real World Trading You should know that Jagex would never allow this on a big scale  OT: Pots, pots, and more pots. I like my pots. And sharks. And I always hate buying pots because I feel like I'm wasting money. So someone else, buy me my pot!- Why is RuneScape a 'Game for Nerds'?
"Jock" social life is not idiotic. You should try it some day, before you go off writing it off as stupid. RS requires very little intelligence. Responding to the topic: Because people use the words "owned", "narb", and "lollerskates" with much frequency. Learn to read pl0x, because I didn't criticize their social lives specifically. FYI I have tried it out, and much prefer having brains instead of just living for the day. Anddd...Intelligent people naturally have a higher capability for monotonous repetitive behaviour like studying (and RS), and are capable of dedicating themselves to a worthwhile cause. EDIT: Lawl, I guess I kinda did specifically target their social lives #-o I still stand by what I've written tho. Intelligent people do not engage themselves in monotonous repetitive behavior. They know how to budget time so they don't have to do such things  Plus studying shouldn't be monotonous! It's fun (or at least engaging) if you do it right and aren't blind e.g. "OMG STUDYING IS FOR GEEKS LOL LOL LOL" What good does "having brains" do for you? What's so wrong with just living? :-k Anyway, in response to how people are saying RS requires dedication: It is easy to dedicate time to RS. It is an easy game, so it's not hard to "dedicate" ample amounts of time to it. Some of you may be wondering why I'm so cynical on RS. I'm not - I'm just trying to add in considerations of different viewpoints.- ~Achievement Cape Competition~Winners take your prize pg15
Dang it, this thing has to close right as I'm 200K from my Untrimmed Hits cape :? My eventual outfit would have been: White P Hat 3A Plate D Legs Untrimmed Hits And the usual fury, dark gloves, etc.- Why is RuneScape a 'Game for Nerds'?

You can easily make money from the GE. Take advantage of the price difference in finished and unfinished products.- Closed
Yes, that is a preferable option. I would bring Sara Brews, 1 Super Restore, 2 Antis. All 4 dose of course. I used the required materials + S Brews for the rest, I got through it only using about 6 full Brews IIRC- Magic Axes - Good AFK Training Combat!

I'm surprised not many people like Clan Wars -- isn't basically Castle Wars, except not having to worry about noobs on your team being frozen and losing your flag?- Grand Exchange Your Pros and Cons
Found a way to get 80K Magic xp per hour at .9 gp/xp 8-) Unfortunately, won't be using it any time soon.- Lost 7.8m and a whip lol

Cynic :-w I am in love with Clan Wars, it's making me want 94 magic / 94 range even more What I'm afraid, though, is that Clan Wars will just turn into Castle Wars. Ancients all over, owning everything up. Hopefully they'll integrate some system to prevent it from being a messy slaughterfest and actually involve strategy.- Best Str training?
What he said. Use DScim + Defender. I did that and i have 95 str, I also use super att and d axe special. I use a spot I can fight 4 at the same time, and I only get 30k//hour. Thats why I stopped Then there's something wrong with your character. I have been getting 50K+ hour for the past 20 combat levels. Recently I have been doing around 60K. - Summoning Logo Found?
