Poison in Fight Caves
I'm actually planning to do something like that :? Plus with emeralds at 600 ea and mith bolts at 90 ea, I can afford to use them through the entire 64 waves...

Poison in Fight Caves
Are the monsters in Fight Caves immune or susceptible to poison?

Fight pits - Easiest way to become champ?
1) Make friends with the high levels (the ones who are in groups) 2) Wait until everyone else is dead. 3) Wait until the friends kill each other (if they decide to kill you, you're in for), or die from the rangers. 4) Kill remaining people w/ verac. -- Bring sharks. -- Bring S brews. -- Bring S set. -- Bring S restores.

Hey Sophanem Pplz! Just Take A Swig Already!
I think Jagex was just having fun... wow that's hilarious

RuneScape's logo: Dated compared to MechScape and FunOrb's?
FunOrb is a frickin' ridiculous name. Oh please, Jagex. Jagex is quite lacking in the graphics department to begin with... RS is behind, both in terms of its gameplay graphics and its homepage/logo graphics.
-
Is it me or do you think of this too?
Yeah, just ignore them. There's no way Jagex can punish you for that. I guess another (rather extreme) thing you could do is only talk to people that you're familiar with/seem like mature players who won't report you for stupid crap. Lesson learned after getting a blackmark for saying "I bought this" #-o (someone thought "this" was referring to my acc).

Grand Exchange Petition
I'll supply the Motolov cocktails. I seriously wish I lived next to Jagex so I could have a face-to-face talk with whoever is generating their new horrendous policies.

Can i subscribe without a credit card?
For about 6 months I mailed them my payment. However it is more expensive and now I do it via debit card. (Sorry, person above me posted exact same thing #-o a minute before)

Should there be a faster weapon than whip?
Heh, 100 is on Shades using a Salve(e). Plus the conditions used in that test (1HP) are nearly impossible to get in PvP matches. The answer to your question is Darts and Knives. They are about 2x as fast as Barrows weapons (I think...) and can hit near 20. However, they are not comparable to the whip due to their extremely low accuracy.

How about making money harder to make in RS?
RS is not "super inflated". Look at Japan's currency, the Yen. It is around 100 Yen per Dollar - a cup of coffee is 400 Yen. Does that mean that it's easier to get money in Japan? No, the Yen has a different purchasing power. You are correct, however, that many things in RS are unnecessarily cheap - Barrows, the best armor in the game, for example. Jagex really did the game an injustice by making it so common; Torag should be at least 20M and Guthan at least 40M - that would make the game so much more interesting.

Summoning - Pictures + Spoilers + Proof (99% REAL)
Wow, I think they may have reversed the i and u in his name... Anyway, I couldn't help but note the uncanny resemblance to Pokemon.

Zaff the Staff Guy
LOL at the last line :XD: Are you sure its Zaff? There are other NPCs that do things similar to that (though definitely not the same)... e.g. MOM

What items actually have a use now?
Not to be defensive, but I already had a thread on this :? I'd say gems, gems, and more gems. Monks are easier to get, which is convenient.

Irony at its Finest
Jagex isn't stupid. They probably released some unannounced bot detection system with the GE. God knows how it works, but Jagex would kneel over and kill itself before it knowingly would help out bots.

Ashes and the grand exchange
They're used for training herblore, with Tarromin herbs to give 50 xp.

26 November 2007 - The Grand Exchange
Conveniently, Jagex put it in the NE section of GE. Another way of getting to GE is via the Edge side. Edge also has lots of teleports: -- Glory Tele to Edge -- Canoe to Edge -- Ancient Home Tele to Edge -- Ancient Tele to Edge dungeons -- Fairy Ring to Edge

New Markets, New Horizons From the GE
The GE has opened access to millions of previously unaccessible items. Many of these, in mass, might bring about substantial change in the RS world. What such items have you seen, bought, or thought of? Here are some of mine: -- Gray Chinchompas (damage is -2 of red, and -20 accuracy, but 500 gp cheaper per Chinchompa) for 250 ea. I bought 7M worth. -- Kebbit Bolts. Around 16 ea, good for training (40K+/hr at 84 range), a bit slower than knives but faster than whip. -- Emeralds. Making Rings of Dueling can be a veriable business now. -- Unstrung Amulets. For using String Amulet training spell, 120Kxp/hr. -- Chocolate Cakes. 80 GP ea, heal 15. -- Snowy Knights, and other Hunter butterflies. Each of these is purported to do a 20% bonus on friends for a multi-area. If so, this could save pot space and (if Snowy Knights work, they supposedly heal 20%) LOTS of food space. :-k

Hahahahah silly quality assurance team. Dude that's a crazy good-looking face that boy has (in the non-creepiest way possible).

26 November 2007 - The Grand Exchange
Heh, I'm disappointed due to the price controls - Jagex managed to nerf another good update. Hopefully they'll update these controls so they refresh faster. Also... the GE just crashed on W79; it isn't letting anyone withdraw items that they dont want to sell anymore

Will there be any impact of duel arena update on rares?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was just a panic. White went from 340 to 260 to 290 (I got a 290 offer yesterday). Though in the long term, I think the update has weakened the rare market. These effects are hard to quantify and see, though.

One Minute Until Midnight
No, I think Jagex actually wants its bosses to be harder. You could say that I'm a conspiracy theorist, but I see no logical reason why they wouldn't integrate it into CC like you said (and as a multimillion dollar business, they are definitely doing things with a purpose, not just because they're lazy). As for KQing... KQ is ridiculously easy + doesn't require team. I've soloed it 5/6 tries, it doesn't require a partner. And at the worst, you can just protect item and the most you'll lose is DBoots + Glory + Gloves.

Dueling Tournaments - Not Ready for Prime Time
That happens in almost any rated system. I'm a member of USCF (Chess Federation), and I often deflate my rating to be able to compete in certain tournaments... it's let me win several tournaments and even 19th in U1500 nationally. As for the RS tourneys, I alternate between the 1700-1850 sections and 1850+ sections. At one point I was above 1900, but found it impossible to win (I'm not maxed, plus I have low range and mage). By alternating between the lower sections, I have managed to win a couple competitions.

I found this at GWD [sorry for image qual, my PS broke]:  (Mods remove if considered inappropriate, although I'm sure half of the people here won't get it)

Dueling Tournaments - Not Ready for Prime Time
This just goes to show how much Jagex hates pures (and where the true intentions of this update lie). Jagex is willing to take away the trump card of pures... their combat level. This was also addressed in the article. In my point of view, however, we haven't let the system mature enough to see dueling ratings spread out yet (eventually there could be 3000+ rated players, and possibly 1000- rated players). Hence, it is hard to make a definite conclusion about the rating system. As to your bringing up luck, well... more than half of RS combat system is luck-based :-w

Just because he's the best player in the game, doesn't mean he has to be rich. He probably never had the chance to stake, because of the popularity.. Its actually funny how that works. When your a low player you wear the best stuff you can, but its the exact opposite when your a high overall player. Think about it. How often do you see low level players in the best armor they can wear/afford, while high overall level players often wear their base clothes, and a simple hat/skillcape/minimal clothes. Ofc there are always exceptions to the rule, but its true for most people. Just go to edge and you see what I mean. I almost always have fury, barrows gloves, some barrows armor on just because it's convenient. Furies dont attract much attention these days... Plus it looks like he was training strength, but with the cash he has (99RC can definitely get you a party hat), he'd probably have an SS (though tbh SS is marginally better than DScim + Def). And if he didn't want to attract attention with it, he'd just unequip the SS. And to the people who say he's poor... 99 Constr takes what... 100M+? 99 Pray takes what... 80M+? 99 Farming takes what... 100M+?
